Candy Trading Event

The seasonal Candy Trading Event first started on October 30th, 2016, and involved a small, haunted village built by staff members that was home to vanishing mobs. In the Halloween Town, players could trade Haunted Candy with one another. This worked if both players threw candy at each other, which would then award each player with two points. Mobs could also drop the rare-colored 2016 Halloween Town Armor when defeated.

The Candy Drop Event was re-built with the same system for Halloween in 2017.

In 2018, the Hollow Pines Manor was made by the build team, and was accessible on the Games Server during Halloween and the following days. The event contained the same Haunted Candy trading game from previous years. The build contained a Parkour route and a two-player crypt maze. Those who completed it earned the Heart of the Manor.

In 2021 and 2022 the Candy Trading event continued on each smp, with 2021 having the same Haunted Head and Headless Horseman reward, but this was changed in 2022, including the addition of a new reward item.

The event returned in 2023 with the change that players could claim one 9x9 plot in the Halloween Town on 1 of the 10 smp's. During the event they were able to build on the plot to compete for possible rewards for the best builds. Candy trading continued with the same rewards as 2022, but with lower point requirements.

Accumulated points would result in rewards being mailed to the player at certain thresholds, as shown below:

• 25 Points - 500 Rupees
• 50 Points - 500 Rupees and the 2016 version of the Haunted Head
• 75 Points - 500 Rupees
• 100 Points - 500 Rupees
• 125 Points - 500 Rupees
• 150 Points - 500 Rupees and the 2016 version of the Headless Horseman Mask

For the 2022 event the rewards changed slightly, awarding 200 Rupees for each 25 points accumulated. The additional promotional awards were added to the player inventory at the point thresholds:

• 100 Points - Haunted Head
• 200 Points - Headless Horseman Mask
• 300 Points - Door Knocker (oak door)

For the 2023 the rewards were 200 Rupees for each 25 points accumulated. The additional Promotional Items were added to the player inventory at these thresholds:

• 50 Points - Haunted Head
• 100 Points - Headless Horseman Mask
• 150 Points - Door Knocker (acacia door)
