- Creature Capture is located on one of the special 124x124 Residences on SMP5. You can visit it by typing /v creaturecapture on SMP5. This game is unique in that it utilizes team play rather than individual play. It's mechanics largely involve both fishing poles and the Eggification system.
Prior to playing, each player must buy or create a fishing rod because they are necessary for gameplay. The group of players participating in the game divide into four teams: green, blue, red, and yellow. They are then able to access the top two boxes within the arena. Once players are in a room, a few players go into the bottom floor, where they use a stick rather than a fishing rod. These are the eggifiers (who turn the mobs into eggs for counting).
When the game begins, a large number of mobs are placed into the center of the arena. The players in the top floors, the fishers, must try to pull the mobs towards their team so that the eggifiers can eggify the mobs. The goal of the game is to collect the largest number of mob spawn eggs, which are then put into a hopper for counting.
Mob Types Used(top)
Various mobs are used to play the game. However, different game modes arise from different mobs.
- The classic game mode involves the fishing of basic mobs, such as cows or pigs, where one mob egg earns you one point.
- An alternative mode involves using sheep, which can be sheared for extra points. Each block of wool is worth 1/2 point while each sheep spawn egg is worth a full point.
Prizes vary from game to game. On one special instance, the winning team got to participate in an exclusive Mob Arena round for a grand prize.
