Birthday Cake

The Birthday Cake is a promotional cake item that is released to celebrate Empire Minecraft's birthday on July 25th of each year. The promotional item was only obtainable by using the command /promo bday and has not been available for purchase at the Empire Shop.

Each year's variant only differs to the previous ones by the years written in its title and lore, including the colors of the lore. The template to the right shows the name and lore of the 2014 cake and the name of the 2021 cake. In terms of both name and lore, the 2014 and 2017-2020 and 2022-2023 cakes have green text, the 2015 cake has blue text, and the 2016 cake has pink text. The 2021 cake has rainbow text in celebration of EMC's 10th birthday, and green lore. The color tones beginning with the 2023 cake are slightly different due to branding updates made earlier in that year.

There was a misprinted copy in 2014, and it was named the 2013 Birthday Cake. This cake had the correct lore (green) but had the wrong year in its title. Only a very limited number of these 2013 Birthday Cakes got out into circulation. The misprinted cakes were only available for approximately one minute after its release before it was corrected.

In 2024 the cake was released later than usual (see op here) thus was included the additional lore stating "This tastes stale. Where has it been?"

There are also some variations in the date formats used in the lore of each year's cakes. For the 2014 versions, the date listed is 7/25/2014. For the 2015-2020 and 2022-2024 versions, the date is listed as 07/25/[year], where year is the full year (for example, 2015). For the 2021 version, the date is listed as 07/25/21.
