Remote Shop Sign

The Remote Shop Sign is a functional custom sign item that allows players to set up a working shop sign away from a chest.

History and obtaining(top)

The signs were quietly announced on August 14th, 2016, and the first 64 were dropped during the 2017 New Years Event. In mid-2017 they became available for purchase with the use of real-life money through the Supporter page.

On July 4th, 2022, a small update was released which introduced the /exchangeremotesign command, allowing changing the wood type of the sign. All Remote Shop Signs are oak by default, but can be exchanged into and out of all other wood types using this command.

Usage(top)

One shop sign can be set up per Remote Shop Sign item. Once that sign is destroyed, the sign is re-usable. The signs can only be used in the Town and within the same residence of a linked chest. As the item's lore directs, left click on the chest you want to use, then create the shop sign somewhere else on the residence.
