  6. I've upgraded since then! I hope to eventually save up to build my own PC (!)

    "HP 15-bs289wm"
    Specs:
    - CPU: Intel Pentium Silver N5000
    - Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 605
    - Memory: 8GB. upgraded from 4GB by seller
    - Storage: 1TB HDD
    - Touch screen
    - Some 10$ Chinese wireless mouse, "VicTsing MM057"
Only reason the computer isn't super slow like most reviewers say is b/c I've removed most of the unnecessary McAfee, adware, etc. that come preinstalled on an HP. It's good for most things I do, like document editing and browsing. ETS2 and Factorio play alright, and most of the other games I have off Steam run alright. Minecraft averages out about 20 FPS.
As for my physical desk... well... I sit on a couch and use a pillow to elevate it, so I'm not straining my neck. :p

And some 12 year old fans that still work and keep the temp stable to 16-32°C

You totaly didnt see me put 4.9GHz i wish
  9. I posted on this thread last year, but I have since moved to college, so I have a new desk!

  10. Looks better than mine~ I wish I had a small shelf behind my monitors. That'd actually help me a bit with what I have.
  11. I love it!
Especially the Steven Universe glasses look great on there. :D
I wonder if Krysyy has noted the TARDIS yet. ;)

  12. Don't forget the Weeping Angel there to the right as well. It's just waiting there. Waiting for the right time to strike.
  13. So yeah... I was going over the forums to check up on "loose threads" (we need to continue the PWU review which I started 1 year ago) and then this thread popped up, also because I posted here in the past (I tried, couldn't find it). And things have changed, though it may not look as much but take my word for it: this is kinda huge ;)

Oh wait... I found it! Only 4 or so years ago :D

Things changed, and some changes were kinda huge though they may not look like much ;)

    My current home studio

What you're seeing here is not only my regular computer setup (though... the picture is already outdated; that 2nd 4:3 monitor gave out on me last month and I replaced it with a widescreen) and probably the most extensive synthesizer setup you can imagine.

Those white "pad things" (on the red table and the one left to my chair)?

The controller on the red table is the "Maschine" controller (product link here) and I mainly use it to create percussion (those pads... are amazing), but in these days I also have the complete Komplete suite backing it up meaning so much that I can squeeze out beeps, drums (obviously) but also full orchestral setups using that baby.

The second MIDI controller is seen next to my keyboard. This is the so called Ableton Push controller. It's actually a controller which was designed to fully control (as much as possible anyway) "Ableton Live", which happens to be my #1 audio environment (my DAW that is.. 'Digital Audio Workstation').

You may also notice 2 pairs of speakers (one is black (foreground), the other beige (left to my USB microphone)). The beige stuff are my regular PC speakers, the black stuff is dedicated to my audio setup only. Difficult to see but behind my keyboard is an external USB audio interface.

I think I got a picture of that too.....

    Found it!

Just to avoid confusion: the Maschine you see in the screenshot above is the so called 'Mikro', a smaller version of the 'real' deal. I got it explicitly because I have to spend several days away from home and well... Synths are my passion and they help me get through serious rough times (just as Minecraft I might add (no joking!)).

It's not too bad because when I'm seriously busy mining it's difficult for me to pull away. Not so much when messing with sound. As such I decided to get myself a "mikro" controller, leave it in my "locker" at work so whenever I'm at work in my own time I have something fun to do (browsing the web is accepted but any other data won't go through the firewall, and me trying to bribe the board with beer (or Minecraft) didn't solve that :D). Basically: data security restrictions require a lock down on outgoing data, and although I could set up a proxy (skipping long boring technical stuff) I'm not going there and rely on my mikro instead ;)

Aaaanyway, I elaborated more than I planned to.

Bottom line: this is my current desktop.

In case you're wondering: Yes, it takes getting used to typing on a keyboard which is not directly in front of you. You can get used to that. Thing is: I use my Push too often not to have it right next to me.

Thanks for reading, now to check what I missed in 4 years :)
  14. God tier setup.
Lots of hard work went into this.

  15. The best desk of all~ ^^
  16. What? To me it looks like there isn't actually in image to see there.

Woah, cool! But while I knew that you dabbled with these things, I wonder if you actually create anything with it worth sharing? :p I've never heard any such thing, I believe.

As for myself: now that I'm behind my desktop most of the time, I should probably clean it up! Maybe I can create a before and after. :D Not that it's that bad... but most of what's on here hasn't been used in over a year, probably. :p
  17. Here is my desk! My dad made it for me - he's a craftsman. It has a large drawer at the front, which can store quite a bit. My computer setup isn't worth showing lol :oops:
