Desk update: The computer has been assembled. Ignore the keyboard, my cheap chinese one broke, so this is being used as a surrogate until my replacement arrives. (It's a HyperX Alloy FPS Pro, I heard it was a good keyboard and it seemed like a great deal so I jumped on it.) Desk is nothing fancy, literally two pieces of plywood bolted to a sawhorse. Additionally my Logitech G29 wheel and pedals are waiting for when I want to tear my hair out in iRacing. All in all I am happy with the build and am enjoying my GAMER experience.
The image doesn't work because that's an image from Gmail, and has a 410 Gone error code when you go to the image link >.>
Hey all! I've recently constructed a vocal booth/recording studio. But since this is a desk thread I figured I'd just show you all my desk itself along with a short video of me inside the studio room Video of what the studio looks/sounds like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML8fLWVUG3g
Desk looks actually epic but hol' up! I spot two Glade Air Fresheners. Do you not want to smell what the Rock's cooking while Streaming or what my guy?
That picture is really small. What is the 'Stream Team' thing? (I know what the Stream Team is, I just wonder how it features on your desk, it almost looks fake )
That room sounds so nice! I think my favourite part about the sound is how the colours are mismatched around the doorknob! It's just so atmospheric and beautiful. Great acoustics!
Just updated my desk layout. Now with a bit less clutter~ (I switched the second monitor input to my Linux machine, but it is plugged into my main Windows machine as well.) I apologize for the poor light conditions, I waited until the evening to take this picture. The corner of the image is blown-out because of my bedroom light and the shadows are crushed due to the increasing darkness... :\
First my data server, now my main computer. Linux has taken over, haha~ All in honesty, I need to stop taking pictures in the evening. I had to increase the ISO for this picture. :\
Bruh this thing is almost 15 years old and it still works just as well as it did the day I got it kinda scared
How do you like those speakers? I been trying to find some speakers (preferred ones that do not plug into the AUX as thats where I have my headset)
Why? I find it more intuitive for machines to keep working as long as nothing visibly damaging happens to them. Why would they deteriorate, as beings do?
Because you’d expect a device that’s almost as old as yourself, that you got for your 6th birthday and used rigorously until you were about 13, to show some signs of age But to be fair, my dad’s Sega Saturn and his PlayStation One still work, and they’re older than me - meanwhile my PS4 broke after 5 years 🤔 You could take over the world with an old console smh
On the second paragraph: exactly. I'm not sure why you would expect signs of age beyond grime and a change of colour. I'm sorry to hear your PlayStation 4 broke. I will also experience computers breaking, probably. In fact, some of my pc's did. I would rather they didn't, though.
