Comet was the first reindeer in the series to spawn as a dark brown horse, instead of as a brown one.
The one discolored » in Comet's name can be put down to Christmas reindeer folklore - contrary to the belief it was simply a typo. Tales tell of a time Comet hit his head on a comet, and his behavior has been a bit peculiar ever since.
