  1. I'd say if there are soldiers hiding in the hospital sure but if they are all wounded in-capable of defending themselves thats genocide
  2. that makes no sense, you said
    but a hospital isn't a medical service?
  3. gen·o·cide
    /ˈjenəˌsīd/
    noun
    noun: genocide; plural noun: genocides
    1. the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.
I don't think blowing up a hospital counts.
  4. It's technically a subclause of the "no killing civilians" rule. It basically means don't shoot medics. Doctors count as "actively aiding the war effort", and are counted as Soldiers.
The difference between Red Cross and Hospitals are significant.
Red Cross can help civilians, and both sides as well.
Doctors in their own territory (for obvious reasons) have their own as a priority.
  5. -_- medics aid the war effort don't they? They literally heal injured SOLDIERS... But healing civilians is bad I guess?
  6. This is mostly because the IJA kept shooting medics and the SEU got pissed.
  7. The Caliphate does not sign mainly because it allows attacking hospitals.
  8. SEU agrees to amend it to prohibit attacking Civilian Hospitals, but not Field Clinics.
They also propose banning Biological and Chemical weapons, certain types of torture to extract confessions, banning using chemical substances in combat (Meth, Alcohol, Marijuana, Crack, Peyote etc.), landmines (because SNE planted so many landmines in SEU territory it is extremely difficult to remove), and to prohibit extrajudicial killings.
In addition, SEU has also requested that most major nations sign off on this and request others to do so. It will greatly remove suffering from war (as much as can be).
SEU announces that countries breaking these rules will not receive weapons from SEU, and instead will be sanctioned by the SEU and hopefully the Soviet Union (assuming SEU can even get them to do that), and their opponents will be backed instead.
  9. The Federation after the changes signs it

  10. The UBR signs the modified version as well.

  11. Under the Saudi Caliphate, a civil war breaks out. Within a month, nearly 3,000 are dead. Ashqar Rebels build their army, and the Saud crushes them by crushing their own people, killing ones who are suspected to be in support or house Ashqar rebel members. A lot of non-Wahhab converts who are even Muslim are killed, not at a large rate, but their deaths are excused as being apart of rebellion organizations and dangers to the state, but the House of Saud secretly knows they are actually groups genocide these people, and Ibn Saud doesn't care.

The MBT-5 Omega is now the standard service tank for the military, it is greater in some aspects of the T-54.
  12. SEU decides that they cannot possibly beat the Caliphate or SNE 1-to-1. While SEU may be a good innovator, the moment they come up with a new, revolutionary design everyone takes notes and makes a better version. Therefore, the new design doctrine is as such: priority of cost-effectiveness and reliability over raw performance. For example, the MBT-5 Omega is superior on a case-by-case basis to the T-54. However, the T-54 is rugged, can be produced in massive numbers, and is agile. So SEU will play to its strengths, and SEU's enemies will play to theirs.
SEU tests new Nuclear Weapons. They have an unprecedented yield of 50,000 tons of TNT, and it was done in the Middle of Siberia (for obvious reasons).
  13. The SNE agrees to these terms and signs. They will help remove mines in the SNE.

The SNE starts development on a new tank, the centurion battle tank, a very reliable British battle tank. It travels at 22 mph and armor from 51-152 mm all around the tank. It's armed with the L7 rifled gun and the .30 cal browning machine gun. They are decently expensive so slow production of this is expected. 20 are expected in 12 posts.

The SNE has already stared a nuclear program but now with everyone else having nuclear weaponry, they start making prototypes of nuclear weapons. It isn't very stable or reliable. Radiation is leaking but in small doses. This has claimed a few scientist's lives. This is covered up by the government as they died from cancer. They are starting testing soon near an uninhabited part of the SNE near the ocean.

  14. SEU exports leftover weapons to its allies, mostly in the Soviet Union.
    • High-Tier, modern weaponry (UBR, SEU): T-54/55 line of tanks, MiG-15 Jet Fighters, Su-4 Carrier-Based Jet Fighters, AK-47 Rifle, Marakov Pistol, Tu-100 Bombers, Tu-16 Bombers, Il-2 Ground Attack Aircraft, Sydney-Class Destroyers, SEU actually has produced some Lodz-Class Corvettes under license. Actually, they produced a lot more than UBR ever did, but UBR rakes in cash for every Corvette SEU makes under license.
    • Medium-Tier, some modern weaponry (Mongolia, Georgia, Albania, Armenia): Modernized Yak-9, export version of MiG-15, T-34-85 tanks, AK-47 Rifle, Marakov Pistol, some Tu-16 Bombers, mostly Tu-4 Bombers Il-2 Ground Attack Aircraft), Lodz- Class Corvettes (most of these countries landlocked/lacks strong navies and so corvettes are enough).
    • Low-Tier, little modern weaponry (everyone else in the Soviet Union): Yak-7, Yak-9, some T-34-85, some T-34s, SVT-40 Rifle and Mosin-Nagant Rifle, M1895 Nagant Revolver, some Tu-4 Bombers.
SEU is the prime weapons developer and manufacturer of the group, and as such is well liked by their USSR allies (for the most part).
The SEU has taken an extreme interest in Missiles. No, not rockets like the Caliphate. Missiles. Particularly, short-range missiles. The Big-Gun Battleship is obsolete as a surface combatant, and SEU wants to be the one to replace it. As SEU has excellent Radar Technology, and is rapidly catching up with the Caliphate on the "Rocket" thing (because a civil war tends to impede weapons design for obvious reasons), they start developing an Anti-Aircraft Missile. It won't be out for years, but SEU wants a head start.
  15. OOC: I meant to be talking about ICBM missiles this whole time, but I guess I said rocket instead.
  16. The Caliphate drops their first 225 kiloton boosted fission hydrogen bomb in the Sahara, leading to incredible results, It's a fast lead to thermonuclear technology.

The F7 Rifled 105 mm Main Gun is under development and will be applied to all Omega tanks in nearly 20 posts. It will mean that both the SNE and Caliphate have a bigger gun on their tanks than the SEU.

Grueling experiments on supposed "Yeti's" and Demons are at a height in the secret department in the Caliphate. Small teams research demonology and witch craft/magic, and some search for Yeti's in Nepal. It's a small side project, but one done because Ibn Saud has enough money and just feels like he needs to know a bit more in the world.

The spy program in the Caliphate is increasing in size, training is improving, and the system is facing upgraded tactics and options. The Zeta code has proved to be very effective, no one can crack the code.
Spies gain intelligence on SEU missile technology and the anti-aircraft missile. This is a good lead, the Caliphate is too busy to focus on an AA missile right now, but they will be 1 step ahead of the SEU on missile technology always.

The Caliphate scraps some of their ships and sells the Euphrates, Little Euphrates, Husayn Class Aircraft Carrier, Aleppo destroyer, and some Nergals, as well as the B-17, M4 Saladins, and X-1 rockets to Pakistan.
  17. SEU is well aware of the Caliphate's advances. They have many experimental Thermonuclear and Boosted Fission Weapons. However, they have made a decision to test them underground. The Caliphate will have no way to know about underground Nuclear Tests in the middle of Siberia.
SEU is also independently developing computer technology. They have recruited many mathematician (including Alan Turing), and used their existing pool. Their mission is this; break the Zeta code. It is most certainly very hard. However, SEU has a massive lead on the topic of Computers and particularly networks. Combining mathematic genius with brute computer power will allow them to break the code, and while short-term instructions coded will be useless (even if broken, many of the mathematicians have eyeballed that it would take at least a week to read messages barring significant advances in computer technology.). (OOC: thanks Sydney!). It will take months. Even a year. But SEU will not stop.
SEU's Omega Code is now effectively useless; not because it is breakable. No, because of its own invulnerability. Its lack of a writing system, overly complex nature, and strange system has made it ineffective. All these measures make it the unbreakable code it is, but it makes it unusable. The Alpha code is much more useful, but it is archaic. SEU can't keep making new variants. SEU has scrapped the Alpha designation and is creating the Beta code, a code on par with Zeta on terms of difficulty, and exceeding it on many occasions. For obvious reasons, it will take 3-4 years to create because creating such complex codes are not easy.
SEU has develop HEAT rounds for the T-54. While this is an imperfect fix at best, it will work.'
SEU is also delivering supplies to the Rebels.

  18. SEU has discovered a besieged city in the Caliphate, a rebel city.
SEU has created an operation to supply them using Aircraft. Yes, supply an entire city. SEU is capable of it; the Black Air Force wants to win prestige as a humanitarian force, but they'll need the Black Navy's help. The Black Army is angry (they want to look good), but the Black Army has been SEU's favorite for a while now.
To keep the city from collapsing, SEU will need to supply 3,000 tons of food and 400 tons of coal. This is suboptimal, but it will keep them alive.
To this end, SEU has formed a massive supply chain, culminating in supercarriers Kuznetsov and Melbourne as well as a couple modified Fleet Carriers (most were scrapped but 4 were kept around) supplying the town. This is a titanic operation and they are being strained to their limit. But cargo ships make trips to the carriers, and the carriers are swapped out every so often.
It is nowhere near the goal, but it is a great gesture.
  19. And big ideas we are about to implement. The government is allocating a ton of money to reclaim a ton of land in the Gulf of Gdansk and in the Gulf of Finland. Here are some pictures of the area to be reclaimed:

Also, remember back when Trelet was a thing and I created a ton of roads and highways? Yep, I'm currently creating a brand new system of highways for the UBR. :)

  20. OOC: I prefer your system of actually building a country and not building a military, haha, i need to try that out a bit more.
