[FORUM GAME] New Nations

Discussion in 'Forum Games' started by Warlord678, Feb 28, 2019.

  1. Oh please, your SPD means you get to run circles around everybody else. The 8 SPD of the UBR is countered by their generally mediocre stats. Also, highest DEF. The thing is, the Caliphate has the lowest GDP and population out of the 3, for painfully obvious reasons.
  2. Out of the Caliphate, a few writers and great minds emerge with their ideals of a nation:

    Parsa Panahi - Perisan
Believes that the state of any country should be a republic.

    Houshang Khaledi - Persian
Believes that power should be in the hands of the people, and a large amount of parliament members, along with legaslatives, political parties, and elections.

    Erfan Mahmoodi - Persian
Believes that the Caliphate should dissolve within its respective provinces as Independent nations.

    Sirvan Sehat - Persian
Believes in the Islamic Land Destiny, that all Muslim majority areas should be under the Caliphate's rule, such as central Asia.

    Wajeeb al-Soltani - Arab

Believes that the role of the Caliph should only be as a religious leader, not a governmental one.

    Waseem al-Mattar - Arab
Believes that total power should be in the hands of the Caliph, as long as they are well educated, a good leader and fit for service. They should gain power not by force, but by being chosen by a high-ranking Clergy or the previous Caliph.

    Abdul Hameed el-Syed - Arab
Believes that western and modern technology is corrupting the people, and that people should live humbly.

    Mutlaq al-Amini - Arab
Believes that every Muslim nation should run under Wahhabism, with Sharia Law and Jihad as the main factors. He believes that doing this keeps the religion of Islam pure, and that all enemies and oppressors should be killed.

    Dhaki al-Usman - Arab
Believes that the Caliphate should run as a democratic nation, bound by capitalism.

    Mehmet Ali Sari - Turkish
Believes that the Caliph should work with a parliamentary government to decide decisions on the country. The Caliph should be more of a "presidential" role.

    Acatay Yavuz - Turkish
Believes that all enemies of the Caliphate should face Jihad and be destroyed. Strongly against the SEU and USSR.

    Aïn Defka - Algerian
Believes that the Caliphate should represent more provinces of their regime.

  3. The Federation has rated all the major combines including it'self The Ratings are between 1-10 and consist of Army,Technology,Speed, and execution(how fast decisicions happen in that cfountry)

    The Federation

Army:Because of little in the way of air force the Federation gets a 6 in Army

Technology:The Federation pours massive amounts of money in tech but is still behind the times thus earning a 5 in Technology

Speed:Because of the placement of The Federation it can get almost anywhere quickly thus earning a 7 in speed

Execution:The Federation sucks at getting results fast thus earning a 4 in Execution

    SEU

Army:The SEU has one of the most powerful armies on the Planet thus earning a 9 in Army

Technology:The SEU has lots of research being done thus earning them a 8 in technology

Speed:The SEU's speed is terrible it takes months for them to do anything substantial with their army thus getting a 3 in speed

Execution:now the SEU gets results faster then some but not super fast thus getting a 6 in this

    Caliphate:

Army:The Caliphate has a better army than most thus getting a 7 in Army

Technology:The Caliphate is right on the heels of the SEU in this catagory scoring a 7

Speed:The Caliphate has very great speed even faster than The Federation earning a 8 in speed

Execution:The Caliphate makes decisions fast earning a 8 in execution

    UBR:

Army:The UBR doesnt have a substantial army thus getting a mere 4 in this catagory

Technology:UBR gets lots of research done earning a 6 here

Speed:The UBR with placement can get almost anywhere fast earning a 6 in speed

Execution:The UBR is at the top of it's class in this catagory scoring a 9

    Overall Scores:
    Federation: 6
    SEU:9
    Caliphate:8
    UBR:7

  4. ooc: I believe that belac's ratings are a lot more accurate and overall better. Nice job!
    ---
The UBR is starting a campaign to get more people into the military, especially people who just came out of college for things like research and science.
With Kaliningrad now a part of the UBR, all Kaliningrad citizens are now UBR citizens. The Country Assembly for Kaliningrad will be formed at the beginning of the next election, and for now, is under jurisdiction of the National Assembly. It is predicted that the Russian Party will (obviously) have a majority in Kaliningrad.
The UBR is hiring some former Dutch polder builders and engineers to build dikes in various places across the UBR. The government has some big ideas in mind.

  5. Zionists repel the government and cause a massive uproar. They unite in arms, with tanks such as the M4 Saladin which they stole, and they gain many firearms such as the M3 and M2 Sahkra. They gained a lot of control within the first day, taking over Jerusalem and establishing a stronghold in the area of the West Bank.
The Caliphate follows a "no nonsense" attitude when it comes to defense, and as is expected, they overwhelming crushed the Zionists. With very little backing, little equipment, but with great organization, they managed a war of nearly 3 days in time. Needless to say, they failed, BIG time, Israel will not become its own nation.

Ibn Saud responds to the influx of Jews expecting new homes as a little problem. He orders Ghytu's, which are Jewish Ghettos in the region. They are closely spaced and tall structures which are made in cheap materials such as stone, or even mud brick or clay bricks. Conditions are relatively poor, sanitation is lacking, water supply is low, and food is only given locally.

These actions have angered the new Jewish immigrants who expected a much safer living space in their home country rather than Eastern Europe, which they would prefer to never return to.

Jews originially living in the land are already on preferred living conditions, most with their own businesses and with average living conditions. Many Jewish scientists in the Caliphate faced progressive assimilation, most don't really care and just want to create rockets for more money and business.
  6. SEU decides that building another Supercarrier wouldn't hurt, and that now they will use these giant vessels as Disaster Relief. Aid will be sent using these ships, as well as some of the operational Battleships. They send aid to many different African nations, as well as Asian ones. SEU wants a global Socialist order, and they are aiding their allies to do so. In any case, Rhee Syng-Man has been ousted.
He has been replaced by the leader Kim Koo, a right-wing leader. He was never on good terms with the Founder, and has little Political Support. It seems likely that Mao Zedong will soon replace him.
  7. The Federation has completed their first good Supercarrier stuff will follow in the morning
  8. Ibn Saud laughs at Rhee Syng-Man's impeachment from his leadership, the Caliph says he wasn't cut for the job anyway.

The Caliphate has ordered another Super-carrier from the Fatimid class, the last one before the class retires.
  9. You have precisely 0 Supercarriers. Fatimid doesn't count, it's a measly 37,000 tons.
You also have precisely 0 Carriers that can operate Jet Fighters. You need to either modify existing Carriers or build a Supercarrier.
    Otus_NigRum likes this.
  10. how many tons for a supercarrier?
  11. At least 60,000 tons displacement, standard load.
Keep in mind full load is at least 15,000 tons above this. So full load: 75,000 tons.

  12. SEU has interesting views in LGBTQ+.
Effectively, they are allowed to exist. They are allowed to marry; SEU will not stop them, it is not outlawed in any way. However, they are ineligible for benefits that come with such marriage; this makes their lives very hard, and has the effect of greatly reducing Gay/Lesbian marriages.
SEU also has a substantial welfare net, to protect their citizens under the Socialist/State Capitalist Ideology. SEU is able to do this because their government has a habit of bullying rich people, but it is an enormously lucrative business opportunity and so they come anyway.
  13. The Caliphate has obvious views on the incredibly small LGBT population, most of the time it will mean death, but the population is so low that some people just aren't bothered with to kill and are just punished by whippings.

OOC: Remember, in this time no country had good views on the LGBT community, just so no one gets offended and realizes this is a game...

  14. The (extremely progressive) UBR government supports the LGBTQ+ population, however it is not much of a priority for the government. They are allowed to marry and will not be treated any differently from a male/female relationship.
  15. A revolution starts in the Saudi Caliphate. Ashqar Rebels, supplied by the SEU invade Baghdad, gaining a large territorial force from the Kurds to the currently under construction New Babylon.
Beforehand however, a massive influx of worker strikes, protests and riots flooded the Caliphate, seizing the opportunity to drop the economy and lower the working rates. The Worker Association Party obviously tried to stop the strikes, but were shunned away because of their apparent support for the House of Saud.

Now, it's a civil war, with Iraq being the obvious centre of destruction, and Mecca being the place of religious wars, with the entire city splitting in half, most want peace but the Wahhabism and Musawaism leeches cannot guarantee that peace.

The Nile Convention protects all religious in Nubia and along the Nile river, quelling the South Nubian (South Sudan) uprisings by promising protection. The House of Saud however, is displeased with the Nile Convention, opting for the same rebel treatment as done to the Eritrean rebels. As is such, the Nile Convention gains backing from Egyptian Rebels and defense.

North Africa is not that affected, they are under Sharia Law but the enforcement is minimal. In the Sunayyad Caliphate, provinces were much more united, now under the House of Saud, provincial areas are a lot more distinct and split.

Turkey and Iran follow the republicist side of things, opting for a government on the fundamentals of democracy and parliament, like a republic.

Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, and Oman/Yemen are fully under Wahhabism and practice Sharia Law strictly. The least affected is South Iberia and Morocco, with South Iberia not facing any Wahhabist reforms due to the fear of a massive revolution backed by the SNE.
  16. The Black Navy patrols areas around the Caliphate to prevent spillover.
Kim Koo has been expelled by Iosif Stalin; he was not going to last long, but Mao Zedong is not happy. However, there are reports Stalin is not in good Health and Mao is gambling on this to make sure that he eventually gains power, as Stalin is probably not going to last long.
T-54s are now deployed in massive numbers and is the mainstay of the Black Army/SEU Army. T-34s have either been sold or put in reserve. No one really liked the T-34 as a weapon of war, and the T-54 is substantially more comfortable though still uncomfortable. The Black Air Force, getting their hands on some getting new toys has been ordered to shut up and make do with what they have; they have plenty of Tu-4s and Tu-100s, as well as the second-best Jet Fighter in the World, the MiG-15.

    Warlord's assement:
This ship has many downsides. It is not the best seaboat, nor is it particularly stable. (in fact, rather unstable). In addition, its survivability is only such because of its massive size. Its secondary battery is severely underpowered, with only 20 127mm guns. While those 127mm guns are very good guns, there are only 20 of them. It underperforms relative to its displacement. Its turning circle is abysmal due to its size, although speed is not so bad.
However, as aforementioned it has an excellent survivability. It can take dozens of 18-inch shells. It can take dozens of torpedoes. If this ship were to be implemented into WOWS, it would have the single most monstrous health pool in the game. SEU damage control is excellent, as well as its compartmentalization. As per the traits of the ship described in the Forum Game, it can take massive amounts of damage and keep going. The Torpedo defense system is excellent; it would be able to take more Torpedoes than described here.
It is also versatile. With 40mm Bofors AA guns in massive numbers, and the best Fire Control for Dual-Purpose AA, it manages to scrape its way into average for a ship its size. It has ditched the 20mm AA gun for the 40mm, because SEU has had disputes with Oerlikon. This was a rather good choice, as the 20mm lacked stopping power while the 40mm had more than enough.
  18. SEU has proposed a universal "Rules of War".
Rule 1: Civilians are not to be harmed for as long as reasonably possible.
Guerilla Fighters count as Soldiers and are fair game. However, destroying an entire village to find 1 sleeper agent is not fair game. Poisoning wells to kill civilians is not fair game. Attacking factories and hospitals are fair game. Attacking cities is not fair game.
    Rule 2: Accept surrender.
Surrendering soldiers are to either be accommodated or released. They are to be treated like human beings, and to be respected as such. They are also to be allowed to communicate with loved ones if possible.
Rule 3: Do not attack Medical services.
The Red Cross and other institutions are not to be attacked unless there is a reasonable suspicion the enemy is using it to transport weapons.
  19. Attacking hospitals are not fair game?
  20. Let us presume that there is a Hospital.
You may attack the Hospital with bombs, whatever.
You may not attack the surrounding civilian buildings.
