SEU has decided to open admission to the Soviet Union. Now, the Soviet Union allows one access to the World's best reserve currency, free trade with the World's largest trading bloc, and a lot of backing from the SEU and UBR (top dogs in the Soviet Union). Basically, being in the Soviet Union works wonders. (Mostly at SEU's expense; this whole Soviet Union thing is costing them more than it brings in, but whatever.) Requirements: Have at least 2,500 Soci GDP Per Capita. Be Socialist/State Capitalist (obviously) Have a life expectancy of at least 65. Have an infant mortality rate of at most 6%. Not have more than 50% of GDP come from 1 resource. Be approved by 50% majority of all current Soviet Union members, and unanimous approval of the UBR and SEU. This is a high bar, honestly.
These social leaders request an opinion from all international powers on who they would vocally and possibly physically support.
SEU wants Aïn Defka to assist the Ashqar Rebellion, and motions as such. In any case, SEU now has some prototypes of Guided Antiship Missiles, and Anti-Missile Missiles. However, they are not in any working shape and as of now are ineffective as weapons of war, though they will be in the mid 50s. In any case, SEU is installing Socialist governments in many countries, such as in Mozambique and Botswana. CURRENT NON-USSR SOCIALIST GOVERNMENTS: DRC Guinea Madagascar Venezuela Bolivia El Salvador Philippines Rwanda Lesotho These guys are "Lesser Socialists", not in the Soviet Club. They are also rather minor. Basically, these guys aren't developed enough to enter the Soviet Union but are Socialist regardless and receive aid from SEU.
The Caliphate has a rougher time with the majority of African Nations, for now, the SEU feasts on the good climates and well resource nations, while the Caliphate has the Sahara... *sigh*. Currently, most nations are under Musawaism, except for the regions of Arabia, Oman and Yemen who are under Wahhabism. Indonesia and Malaysia are all under Musawaism ideals. Central Asia is complicated. The feeling of Islamic self-imagry is strong, a lot of nations in Central Asia believe that they should join the Caliphate, and they specifically go to the high stand of the SEU to demand it, but to no avail, they are gripped onto Socialism. Musawaism is obviously the most dominant in Central Asia, as Musawaism is basically the Islamic version of Socialism, no Muslim is going to choose Socialism over Musawaism. This brings a massive problem to the socialists, as they hold a massive land chunk of people who want to be apart of the Islamic Caliphate and many people are rejecting socialism directly for Musawaism. There is no revolutions or protests, but if the SEU or USSR were to ever attack Islam, Central Asia would literally break apart.
SEU decides the still-independent -stans are more trouble than they are worth; they will be allowed to leave the Soviet Union under 3 conditions. They do not serve as Caliphate military bases SEU takes all the MiG-15s and T-54s to protect their secrets. But they never had any, so... SEU gets to keep Kazakhstan. As of now, there is a significant non-ethnic Kazakhstani minority in Kazakhstan numbering 12% of the Population, most of them workers. SEU promptly proceeds to expel them from the Soviet Union. However, because having a hostile people right next to one's borders is a really bad idea, SEU gives them some economic privileges.

SEU has requests the Saudi Caliphate recognize the Armenian Genocide. This is basically SEU doing a favor for one of its buddies, (SEU does their buddies a lot of favors, which cost it greatly; however, it is a worthy deal. SEU isn't doing favors, they're buying loyalty from within the people.). They also want to sell UBR a Kuznetsov-Class Aircraft Carrier, because SEU thinks UBR has the money and capacity to operate one. SEU could shrink it and make a smaller version of around 60,000 tons displacement standard load if UBR wants lower operating costs, however. Now, these things can only really be active for 4 months a year because maintenance, but UBR should only have to use it once every 4 months anyway. Black Navy shipyards produce overweight ships, that are expensive. However, they are rather easy to run and low-maintenance. They also are very sturdy (they are overweight for a reason) and can be upgraded and modernized. The costs of modernizing and maintenance increase exponentially with age, but Black Navy ships have a odd property where the exponential increase kicks in 20% later. The shipyards produce quality ships, mind you, but the initial costs are high and long-term costs much lower. The Black Air Force is another matter entirely.
The SNE establishes a train system all through their countries. This will take $500,000 of the governments money to make it efficient and reliable. The trains will be steam powered trains and are both cargo and passenger. Factories are now starting to produce train rails and train parts. It is expected to be going in 1952. Along with this roads are being re made for a better drive. They are being made smooth and not as confusing, so not very twisty. Civil Rights is now a major discussion in the SNE, and political parties are being split. The current leader, Churchill is all for civil rights but most of the government isn't, so many laws aren't being passed. There has been a few crimes involving race and police are now tracking down the perpetrators. There is a $5,000 fine for racial crimes and a maximum of 4 years in jail time.

The Caliphate takes the opportunity of the Stan's being repealed from the USSR right away. Invasion? No. Connection and trade. The Caliphate immediately opens up trade and investment to the natural resource industries, although Kazakhstan has a lot more resources, to say the rest are useless is wrong, and MENA businesses invest their money into producing mineral and ore mines, as well as oil rigs. They expect to assist the government in doing what the USSR did little of, and that is taking advantage of their land and using it to produce large quantities of wealth. Although again the mineral production is not like China or Russia, it is another mineral producer right on a land border with the Caliphate, which means East Caliphate has more advantage of resources instead of waiting for Canada and The Federation. The Arab Emirates has a large supply of aluminum however, and since the Caliphate basically has a pro-Caliphate prime minister in Canada's seats, it is obvious that the Caliphate is expanding to a golden age (of some sorts). The Caliphate won't annex Central Asia out of respect and fear of getting bombarded by the Socialists and the SEU. If however the SEU or USSR decides they want their old buddies back, the caliphate will no doubt fight back, but the urge to full fill the Islamic Caliphate Destiny of having all Islamic nations apart of the Caliphate is rendering a reality.
The miniature Genocide of the radical Wahhabists who have killed non-converting Non-Muslims or non Wahhabi Muslims or non Arab-Muslims or Shia Muslims have risen from 3,000 dead to nearly 30,000. This is an atrocity to its own, and the House of Saud has done nothing except deny that they are linked to them (even though they birthed them). The Nile Convention has risen to arms, and after skirmishes with the Masif Corp have developed a small militia to fight the Wahhabi Jihadists, although to little effect. Horsemen from the Sahara have gone to fight the Wahhabi Jihadists and have armed themselves with swords and rifles... Yep. Although it doesn't seem effective, they sprint from village to village, protecting minorities and strengthen the smaller population of the Saharan dwellers. The worse action is in Arabia however, as women are beat if they do not wear a Hijab and Non-Muslims are killed. Of course, the majority of the Caliphate's population is highly against these actions, but the government speaks little. SEU is beginning development of the MiG-17, an advanced variant of the MiG-15 and modernizing the Su-4 into the Su-5. The MiG-17 and Su-5 will be SEU's 1.5 gen jet fighters, and SEU will offer conversion kits (MiG-15 to MiG-17) to UBR at a relatively low price. SEU really loves selling weapons.
Government Wages Government wages are far too high. A bill has been passed, mostly supported by the more humble MNAs, to decrease the maximum wage for any government employee. A humble amount of 4500 Soci/yr + 10 Soci per diem for food. This is just the maximum amount. A minimum of 2750 Soci/yr is also established for government workers. This is not the minimum (or maximum) wage for all jobs, however. License Plates I've made some new license plates for the UBR. Personally, I think they look much better than the present-day license plates. But anyway, here. Finland Sweden Latvia Estonia Lithuania Poland Kaliningrad Denmark has also agreed to let the UBR print license plates for them.
The SEU PL is paid 9,500 Soci a year. Various other high-ranking government ministers are paid half that, and lower ranking employees around a third. Living in SEU is cheap, and the average income is around 3,000 Soci a year anyway. As SEU has a comprehensive Healthcare system, no one goes bankrupt from it. OOC: SEU is still trying (and failing) to come up with a permanent flag. Their flag is the "revolutionary flag" from the 1920s.
The SEU has tested a Boosted Fission bomb, with a yield of 200 kilotons. SEU is working on miniaturizing their Nuclear Arsenal and maximizing efficiency, and for that they need Nuclear Fusion. They are working on a new bomb, codenamed "Antithesis of God". Its yield is unprecedented, and the design involves Lithium. It has a predicted yield of 8 megatons, and will thus be tested, for the first time, underground. SEU plans to make underground testing standard procedure. The next few models are propaganda pieces in effect, such as "Death", a hypothetical dirty bomb design, "Destruction", a 50-megaton bomb fine-tuned to reduce radiation and to maximize destruction, and "Doom", a 124-Megaton Bomb design so large that SEU questions its viability and plans to keep only as a museum and propaganda piece. SEU never actually intends to use these bombs in combat, they are rather... inefficient. A lot of small warheads seem smarter.

Time to finally use those highways A8 and A9! Denmark has agreed to merge their transportation department with us, as their road system is somewhat dilapidated. We're immediately going to start construction on two new highways in Denmark. Highway A8: Highway Denmark: Starts in Esbjerg, going thru Kolding, Odense, Slagelse, Roskilde, and Copenhagen. It then turns into a tunnel, going across the Oresund Strait before ending in Malmo. Highway A9: Jutland Highway: Starts in Kolding, going thru Aarhus, Randers, Aalborg, and ends in Frederikshavn. Speaking of highways, the Tallinn-Helsinki Bridge has been turned into a tunnel due to issues with ice and boats.
As India recovers, they start to exert their influence. They want revenge, and they seem to be developing an atomic bomb. SEU is happy India isn't fighting them anymore and does nothing. However, Indonesia is also developing more, for use on SEU. SEU is trying to stop them (they are in a state of perpeptual conflict), but is not having much success. SEU wants Indonesia gone, but SEU can't wipe them out.
Ibn Saud jokingly assures India they are going to fail, as by the time the X-3 missile is finished and a warhead is slapped onto it, India will be nothing but radioactive dust. *sigh* why does Ibn have to do this?
SEU tests many Missiles and Rockets; they are closing the gap, just as they predicted. They have their own model, the R-1 and R-2. It is on par with the X-2, but not quite the X-3. SEU has upgraded the mediocre secondary batteries on Yi Sun-Shin. They are now fitted with the 54-Caliber 127mm guns and SEU has increased their number to 30. In addition, SEU has crammed AA guns wherever SEU could fit them, increasing the number of 40mm guns to a whopping 240. It's SEU basically trying to do whatever they can to make sure that the ship can survive an air attack.
