I agree that having two of the almost exact same item is sort of silly. I also agree that breeding is op with the new bows (due the changes), but I did a lot of math back in the day and it was just barely cost effective to use Cupid Bows. Even with me supplying my own arrows from grinders, it was cheaper to use golden carrots by just a hair. I just really liked the lazy way of breeding rather than making all those carrots . Also, wanted to add that I love everything else that has changed on EMC over the last couple of years i've been playing! *Pats Aikar on the back*

Update going out now w/ following: Fixed bug massively nerfing Group XP rates.... Can't believe noone noticed grouping drastically nerfed XP like this before (Did Min(1, XP) instead of Max(1, XP)) Boosted XP bonus behavior of groups. Made it easier to get the group buff perks and new tier on attack bonus Fixed bug with chicken eggs in Frontier/Wastelands. no more new chickens... Added eggify flag to frontier and wastelands outpost. Go clean up those chickens! Added /gr list command that is same as /c who for groups, and improved the output of the chat who for groups to distinguish between near and far group members. Added Current server to /f online Cupids Bow will now auto remove the Durability 3 enchant on use
And if you dont say "hey aikar this seems off, can you check on this" how am I to know to fix it lol. I only found it as I tried to boost XP and it was going up so slowly.... Added debug: 1!
I can, as long as it didn't affect levels. This is just an impression but most players focus on XP levels which are used for enchanting and repairing, not the XP amount itself. That XP amount is always a bit vague anyway. I can view some details on the website but all that does is tell me how much XP I gained this month or in total (leaderbord). Basically I can only view my exact rupee or token amount. No where do I get to see my exact XP amount, only the levels. And if there's one thing I learned from playing with commands (in singleplay, don't worry ): if you're around level 30 (a good minimum for enchanting / repairing) then you won't notice your XP drop by 1 because it'll take a lot of experience before you reach the next level (either up or down). That's my theory on that anyway. Last time my friends and me went mining I did notice that we didn't seem to get much tokens for mining, but because we were quite apart I simply assumed that some were afk and I was the only one digging at that time. Enraged mobs and their notifications did get mentioned in the group so I thought nothing of it.
yay! I felt like the chicken populations at spawn were getting out of hand. With this change we can be sure that their devious plot to take over emc will never be fulfilled.
Awesome set of updates Aikar! Keep up the great work. Just more evidence of you working daily and quickly to fix what's broken as it's reported. Players: make sure you report things that seem odd so we can take a look at the mechanics. We have to know it's broken before we can fix it =) Everyone that asked for chicken issue to be resolved now have their solution and SS+ are cleared of butcher duty =P
If all the hearts give you lag problems you can turn them off by going into video settings and setting particles to minimum.
Like ShelUser said, I can't say that I have ever paid much attention to my XP when I'm in a group as the focus is on another activity like fighting or excavating a hole. I haven't ever come out of a boss fight with a net gain of XP when I take repairs into account and that XP has to come from somewhere. When I am paying attention to my XP it is because I intend to use it soon. When I use a grinder it is usually on a different server and no one is likely to want to hang around while I'm doing it anyway so grouping is unlikely. This makes it a solitary activity which we are penalized for. I'm probably better off pitching my Anvil and going the Villager route. Who needs repairs when I can have a Villager poop Books out all day?
