After reading a big part of the Wikipedia page "The Brave Little Toaster" a few months ago, I wanted to see this children's movie that was apparently very dark for a children's movie. We watched it with about 15 people, and we were very impressed. Wikipedia was right. ;) Jan 20, 2020 at 4:20 PM

So at the moment we don't have any issues I suppose... but today was still rather disappointing. We were going to go cycling, but spent almost 2 hours in a traffic jam driving to the starting point and then it rained too hard to cycle at all. :(

England in a nutshell. :P Tomorrow wilk be better, no worries. :) A tip for the future: use google maps to see if there is a traffic jam, and use weather sites to check for the expected weather. :)

Seems like summer didn't actually make EMC get more active again... the opposite seems true, to be honest. :/

I hoped the same, but unfortunately think your analysis seems to be right.

I finally saw How To Train Your Dragon today! Home alone in Denton with my brother.

Being home alone =/= being home with your brother, in my opinion. :P Or I'm entirely misunderstanding what you mean with that sentence. :P

Yeah, I understand, but I don't agree. I respect it, though. :P How about when Lanata and I were at born_ego's parental home, but born_ego's family wasn't there? Would you find 'home alone' strange there too? (well, the 'home' there would be a little strange, as it wasn't my or Lanata's home, but I'm asking about the 'alone' part :P)

:P - yes, I would. The home part is fine in my opinion, you were still at someone's home. You weren't alone, though. I'd personally probably call it "with just xxx at someone else's house". Funnily enough, in Dutch you fall back on the "alone" with "alleen", but then with a different definition. :P Or I'd call it "I'm at [place] with (just) xxx".

To be honest, I read that in it too after you said it, and already wondered how I could have not noticed that yesterday. :P Then, after finding some other sources and rereading the sentence, I understood again. :P

Aaaaaaand it reached 40.7 in Gilze-Rijen today, and 40+ in 7 other weather stations too.... yay to the weather in the Netherlands... :P It was quite hot here too, but it probably didn't feel as hot as in the Netherlands. :P And we were treated by a bit of rain today, after which it turned nice and cool. :D

We arrived at our cottage in Kent... the road here is very unfriendly to our car, though :$ (and on the brink of a precipice, too!). But it looks like it'll be fun here. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but I'll get used to things. ;)

I spent a day at the new home of born_ego's parents! It's very spacious. :o They've even got a snooker table in the cellar. ;) Besides playing pool on that we tried to get a geocache, played Re-Volt and played piano. :)

It was a water mechanism, we couldn't get it to work. We were joined by two other geocachers, who brought more water, but the mechanism seemed stuck (although it had been fixed 2 weeks ago).

Not quite, there were two tubes, and it was supposed to come down the other tube (or so we assumed).

I watched The Room, by Tommy Wiseau. I am so fascinated by how bad of a movie it is that I ordered the book recently written by his best friend in the movie and IRL.
