  1. What if there was a wild outpost
that was more than just a wild outpost
that was a full sovereign state within EMC in its own right
where players could claim themselves as citizens
and claim land for their nation through architectural expansion?

What if there was a wild outpost
which hugely expanded the number of ways you can play Minecraft
where players have powers driven by the foremost economists and politicians
where players have the power of a nation to conquer as they see fit
in a society as in-depth as those in reality?

What if there was a wild outpost
where trade and survival was supercharged
democratically based law presides and rules over all citizens
where any citizen can trade anything however they like
and inspire leagues of their own kind to stand tall and control their own society?

The New Republic is one of the most complex wild projects ever conceived in Empire Minecraft.

Pioneered by the leading economists, politicians and social scientists of the Empire,
SMP9's wild has been colonised by a league of pioneers,
led by the cities of Wrem and Inizio, who lead the vangaurd for an entirely new society,
led by a collaboratively created in-game constitution,
and ruled by a democratic assembly of players throughout the nation, soon to be elected.

We are reinventing the wild outpost in its entirety
replacing the outdated paradigm of a simple suburb of buildings created in the wild
with a structured, intricate and planned society emulating those of the real world
with a multifaceted government equipped with a treasury, central bank, community embassy and judicial offices,
which are ruling and encourage trade, cultural development,
    citizenship as a Neorepublican,
and are planning to establish a phenomenal multi-layer city, adherent to the Neorepublican vision,
with a towering central government complex,
surrounded by a beautiful state park,
and skyscrapers preceding factories, suburbs, farms and quarries.

A citizen can participate in the diverse Neorepublican economy,
or run for political office in the Grand Democratic Assembly.
A citizen can receive funding and grants from the central bank,
and repay them by providing services to business and citizens.
A citizen can work in the quarries mining for diamonds,
or expand the New Republic by overseeing huge prolific architecture
capable of defining the nation itself.

We won't just be stopping at a single city, however,
any player can start a colony of the New Republic,
obeying its laws and retaining a degree of autonomy,
their colony can grow to great measures and become a city in its own right,
fueling the Town economy through trade, progress and infrastructural might
players can join the New Republic from Town by asserting a territorial claim
meaning the New Republic is capable of stretching to every habitable corner of the Empire
eventually, no Minecraft server will be safe,
and the Neorepublican influence will stretch beyond Minecraft to other MMOs, games,
and perhaps some day the real world.

The New Republic is be a nation of freedom,
a nation of understanding and reason, a nation of trade and economy,
a nation of progress, and regaining the good lost in the past,
players will be protected and entitled to much by the state,
allowing for the free associated citizens of the New Republic to truly excel.

That's what's waiting for you if you come to the New Republic.
    Will you accept the offer?
If so, post on the thread, and I'll add you into one of our group convos, making you a member.

    1. If you have a dispute with someone, STOP, and read the guide to dispute.
    2. If you are in a dispute, do not insult anyone. Do not criticise their conduct, or the person themselves. You will be issued a stern warning by the Arbitration Committee on your first offence, and all other offences will result in being reported to a moderator.
    3. If you cannot follow the above, your stupidity will get the whole damned thread closed and severely ruin everyone's fun. This will result in a very strongly worded letter of pure rage from the First Minister themselves and revocation of citizenship, for your complete and utter tomfoolery. But you'll follow the rules...won't you? :)
  2. Read it.
  3. No more lava walls please.

Cool! I might join. :) It's kinda role play, right?

  4. reminds me of how the guy described the universe or something game project :)
  5. Admittedly, I did base it on that so the idea would have some ambitious impact :)
  6. Give him a bit of respect, that was kinda rude.

  7. well it worked, i keep reading it over and over in my brain.
  8. Looks cool.
  9. thanks ^_^
  10. So where is that meeting taking place?
  11. I was going to write a long, complex analysis of how this was socialistic, and not democratic, but instead I'd like to participate in the writing of the constitution :D
  12. You have been messaged directions.
  13. I'll send you city directions later, we hope to give you an opportunity to help with that :)
    I have a basic draft already :D
  14. Thanks. I am looking forward to learning more.
  15. You do realize you can be a socialist republic right?

Also, democracy and socialism are not the same category.

Socialism is actually the better way to do things in medium sized wild colonies... and Communism is best in small groups who stay only in the wild.

Capitalism would be required in large scale colonies where pooled resources don't last at all and trust is non existent.
  16. Exactly why I decided it was so important to see the details of the constitution  I'm not necessarily anti-socialist or anti-communist, but those types of governments tend to fall into the hands of power-hungry dictators. Not like I thought that would happen or anything

  17. This looks interesting, as an experiment as much as anything else. It shall be interesting to see what happens.

As long as it doesn't end up like the Golgafrinchans in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (not inventing the wheel because you can't decide what colour it should be), which would be amusing, but less interesting at the same time.

Edit: Personally, I'd try not to guide the structure of it too much, it would be more interesting (to me at least) to see where it ends up without its society being rigidly set at the beginning.
  18. Will there be lava walls involved?

  19. Want to know what? This sounds fun. I'm in. As long as you don't take over the wild or anything. But if all of us take over the wild, that'd be just A+.
