  1. TUN has no business in messing with Empire business and has no interest. As long as they are doing something good, we're happy.
  2. Imperial forces sweep into Myanmar and promptly encounters heavy resistance. This is way more than they thought it would be. They had time to prepare. The Empire declares their intention to keep Myanmar independent.
Day 1, they establish a field base within Myanmar territory at the cost of decimation of their initial infantry force.
Day 2, they march forward. Their tanks prove ineffective within the climate of Myanmar, while the sheer air superiority of the Empire is blunted directly due to the fact the E-2-FB is a mediocre bomber.
Day 3, losses mount as Myanmar forces are pushed back and back. They fight, every step of the way.
This pattern continues for a month, until the 2nd fleet unleashes their invasion force. That force has even less success, and is nearly swept into the sea until Turkey steps in with the Solidarity-Class Battleship and several heavy cruisers, decimating Myanmar shore defenses. After that, 3 kilometers inland is Imperial territory.
The 2nd fleet begins air raids into Myanmar's military. This is ineffective.
The Imperial 2nd fleet's TBM destroyers begins bombardment of major military installations. This is much more effective.
Myanmar resists all through the way.
The Empire is confused. How does such a small nation bog down the greatest land power in the world? Of course, they're winning, but it feels much more like losing.
The Empire has developed a new ICBM.
    Doomsayer II-Class ICBM:
Essentially a refinement of the Doomsayer I, this ICBM sacrifices some range and accuracy for cheapness. That's... really all there is to it.
The Empire has decided what to call their new Supercarrier with no plans.
    Yi-Sun-Shin-Class Aircraft Carrier.
The Empire calls it this in two hopes.
    1. The engineers designing this live up to the greatest admiral ever, Yi-Sun Shin.
    2. The ship's name inspires hope in the crew, and fear in their enemies.
The Empire has revisited the Calamity-Class Aircraft Carrier. That thing was fraught with design flaws, making it difficult to build. But the Empire has learned.
The Imperial supervisors demand a carrier worthy of Yi-Sun Shin, an unstoppable admiral, an unstoppable carrier.
The Engineers view this as an impossible task, but they have been given 4 years and unlimited resources.
They will have to sacrifice some things.
This is but the design phase.
  3. The capital city of Worcester has officially announced the construction in the 637-square mile Ohio county of Trumbull is indeed for a new capital. The ability to buy land, make houses, etc. will start in 3 posts, once each of the departments has sent in to the government how much land they need for their offices, storage, etc.
  4. The Empire is offering terms of surrender.
    Myanmar is not having it.
If then, then the Empire'll need to switch to more... dirty tactics.
In addition, France has developed a Nuclear Weapon. They are a member of the GAD, but the Empire now is keeping a closer eye on the French.
In addition, the Israeli seem to be developing a Nuke. The Empire is now beginning negotiations with Iran and Saudi Arabia to create an economic alliance, and with Saudi Arabia a military alliance as well.
Lastly, the Empire's TO-1 is now a mediocre tank at best.
Design is underway for the TO-2.
  5. The Empire has refined the Calamity-Class Carrier to a newer design, without all the stupid design flaws! The older models of Calamity will undergo retrofit and restructuring after all other aircraft carrier retrofits are complete. This will take 1 page.
Radar development is underway. Some of the funds from the Yi-Sun-Shin-Class carrier has been redirected towards this.
In addition, all the Feather-Class light aircraft carriers have been relegated to other roles, such as: Target, Scrap, Reserve, Retrofitting, etc.
2 out of the 16 current units will be scheduled for use as targets.
5 out of the current 16 units will be scrapped.
3 out of the 16 current units will be put to reserve. They will become museum ships soon after.
6 out of the current 16 units will undergo retrofit. 2 will be retrofitted as a cruiser, while the others have undergone retrofit to serve further as a light aircraft carrier.
All plans will happen after the Myanmar war is complete. It will take 10 posts.
The Imposition-Class Aircraft Carriers will undergo retrofit to fit the E-2 and improve general battle efficiency (including sloped deck), all 7 units. It will take 15 posts. This is to make it a competitive carrier into the early 1970s. After that, all are planned to be scrapped.
    Introducing... the Calamity-II-Class Carrier!
Standard displacement: 72,100 tons standard load
The Calamity-II-Class Carrier is a leap from the previous model, carrying 82 E-2 models at max capacity, and is conventionally powered. This ship is now faster than much more well armored than the previous model, and is much more fuel-efficient. It, however looks very ugly. As a matter of fact, the older models' problem was precisely that it looked too good. The Calamity-II-Class Carrier is designed to be a carrier that will serve as the epitome of the Chinese doctrine: Quality over Quantity. This is designed to be a primary battle carrier, well into the 1980s. This aircraft carrier will, for now be a elite carrier until the Empire can phase out the Imposition-Class. These ships have angled decks. 3 units are planned to be built. This will take in total 4 years. The 4th unit planned will be a cross between the Yi-Sun-Shin and Calamity-II.
  6. TUN Government has gone through plans to reduce military spending by a LOT. Is there a point for a war? No. The Empire is too strong, and fighting them is just useless, no one is going to win, what's the point?

It's better to focus on national problems than international, what good is a strong military in the ability to kill, than on the ability to defend, and in the ability to aid the weak?

Thus, TUN is focusing heavily on defence, to become the best-defended nation on the planet.
  7. You're right on that count.
If TUN fights the Empire, there is no real point, because TUN loses, and the Empire loses less, but still loses.
The only one that benefits is that loose canon UFOS.
You know what? Let's all chill for a sec and reconsider, because this whole arms race thing is dragging down the Imperial economy.
  8. And for the record, the Empire thinks of UFOS as an unstable loose cannon, a dangerous liability they aren't going to help if they get themselves into a swamp pit. It might be evil, but the Empire has no desire to be dragged down with a loose cannon into history books.
I am not kidding. Sorry, belac555, no hard feelings. It's just that UFOS is swinging their power around like a maniac.
UFOS does not sound or act like a responsible superstate in the Empire's eyes, but rather a conquering madman.
This means that in the case of war the UFOS instigates, the Empire's... probably going to stay out of it.
  9. I understand
  10. The Empire's Myanmar offensive is... not going well.
Myanmar is resisting surprisingly hard, and the Imperial force's tanks and weaponry are suited to different climates. The Empire is going to swap in troops from China and Russia to troops from India, and their weaponry.
    This might help things out.
This isn't the Empire's Vietnam, by the way.
It's a little better, and a little more moral. But the Empire is looking to eject the Government and create a regional ally.
  11. The Javor State Airlines:
Javor is buying a few 720s to provide cheap flights between Class 1 airports, as defined by the Airport Classification Act of 1962. Speaking of, we should probably talk about what that is.

    Airport Classification Act of 1962:
Defines how big airports are. Here are the classes:
Class 1: Only given to the largest airports. This includes:
    • LUK, CLE, CMH and Trumbull County airports in Ohio
    • PIT and PHL in PA
    • BOS in MA
Class 2: A little bit less passengers than the major class 1 airports. Some examples of class 2's would be BGR, ABE or TOL.
Class 3: May include cargo-only airports, or very small passenger airports. Some examples include ILG or RDG.
Class 3P: Same as class 3, but only for private usage
Class 4: Airfields/airports owned by towns or small entities for public usage. Usually only have 1 short runway and only fly out to other local airports.
Class 4P: Same as class 4, but only for private usage
  12. Actually, we're going to start researching & developing our own commercial airplanes, starting with the Javor 1. It's pretty much identical to the Boeing 720.
  13. The Empire has created a domestic healthcare program, sponsored by the Chinese President and FEP portions of congress.
The Imperial healthcare service is a domestic service provided to Imperial citizens, free of charge. With the reduction of military funds and the expansion of domestic funds, and a bit of a tax rate raise, the Empirecan now afford a program to reduce healthcare costs. While private healthcare was effective due to the Imperial heavy taxing of the rich resulting in equal healthcare, the Imperial government has decided that a government provided individual-customized package would work better.
In addition, the government has detected economic decline and is working to counter it.
  14. Until the capital officially transfers over, Worcester to Trumbull Cty. Airport
    Cincinnati to Philly and Boston
    Cleveland to Philly and Boston
    Columbus to Philly and Boston
Trumbull Cy. to Philly and Boston
    Pittsburgh to Philly and Boston
    10 permanent routes, 1 temporary
    We own 12 Javor 1's.
We're also adding a bus service that goes between every single major city. Even the ones that don't have plane routes (e.g., Pittsburgh to Cincinnati)
  15. The Empire is setting up a stable transport system. It will mostly consist of long-range train lines. A grand project, the East-West connection line is being prepared. An ambitious project. This is going to take 5 years to complete. The Empire desires to fix the East-West chopping block, and to easily deliver supplies to its reactor personnel.

  16. The Israeli have developed an A-Bomb.
    This is big.
    HMKX Empire: *Nervous sweating
  17. And Israel is our ally
  18. Exactly, hence the
    HMKX Empire: *Nervous Sweating.
Myanmar has inflicted a humiliating, if not devastating defeat upon Imperial forces.
Myanmar forces disrupted Imperial command chains, and communications. This resulted in a friendly fire situation, with Myanmar forces hitting in and out. The bombers, unable to adapt to this new line struct their own, while Imperial troops shot at each other, sometimes with howitzers, sometimes with tanks. After an hour, order was restored and the damage was not all that bad. It was however humiliating not to be defeated by an enemy, but by their own. The weary troops took shelter in a mountain. This proved to be a good tactical move, because the following ambush would have been infinitely worse had they sheltered... in say a valley. To say the least, the troops were taken by utter surprise. However, having the high ground they despite the ambush was able to repel the enemy. Bombers were able to clear out the area, but did not actually kill many enemy forces. The Empire has never had such a humiliating battle. They did not take too many losses, but Myanmar took very little.
    Myanmar losses: 200 (estimate)
    Imperial losses: 2,124
This is a horrific death-death ratio.
With this, congress has voted to begin negotiations with Myanmar.
  19. The UFOS goverment would like to announce that our new Nuclear Power Plant has finally been finished it is built somewhere in the jungle so if something goes wrong it doesn't harm any mass populace areas also our Supercarrier ship is well under way and proceeding very quickly to it's realease
  20. The UKNS has condemned Israel getting their own atomic bombs. In a speech broadcast to millions worldwide, the Prime Minister of the UKNS remarked that weapons of mass destruction should be reserved only for the great powers of earth, not tiny regional powers with dozens of border disputes and internal problems. They formally request that the nation is disarmed.

Meanwhile, the European Commonwealth expands into Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein. A new trade and funding deal is being negotiated with Turkey, in an effort for the UKNS to expand its influence into the Middle East, to heavy objection from Greece. Both of these will take five posts to finalise.

The next targets for Commonwealth expansion are Albania (giving complete control of the Adriatic Sea to the EC/UKNS), Italy (simultaneously removing UKNS military and government presence from the Italian peninsula while keeping control of it), Czechia, and Slovakia.
