  1. HMKX, now that its anger has worn off (partly) is weary of war.
The Air Force is undergoing downsizing.
Yi Sun-Shin, heavily damaged from years of war and service has been mothballed after one last extensive repair and modernization. She only ever runs humanitarian missions now, and even that's uncommon. Unity takes her place, newest and last of the legendary Yi Sun-Shins. She will protect HMKX interests worldwide. After all, "power flows from the barrel of a Gun".
The Kirov-Class of Superheavy Cruisers has been decommissioned. Deemed inefficient, they are due for replacement.
The Military budget is going downwards.
Meanwhile, HMKX wastes no time using its 999-year lease to its advantage. Several Naval ships are deployed to Gibraltar to control the strait. As well as this, HMKX's economy is undergoing rapid re-expansion from the deflation of the War. The War-Weary Empire is far too tired to even control its own allies. Some of their allies have decided to take advantage.
  2. DRC and South Africa have both decided that FRNS, being completely unable to transport troops or project force, to carve up Namibia.
Meanwhile, the Empire has decided to completely humiliate FRNS. They are still very angry, and despite their weariness wants one more chance. HMKX, stripping out the most valuable parts of the Supercarrier for sale/scrapping has blown it sky-high, cleaving it in half with a thousand tons of conventional explosives. HMKX has sent parts of the remains to UFOS, UNAFR and UWE as well as all their allies that participated in the War. Some of the remains were used to make things for the armed forces, such as a paperweight for the armed forces or an eternal flame and plaque to commemorate the war. But most of the rest were sent back to FRNS with a message.
"This is the price to pay for Arrogance. We paid it a thousand times over in blood; consider yourself lucky."
    With this, vengeance is complete.
  3. The FRNS has put the piece of ship with the message into one of the mothballed ships, which has become a museum. It is displayed with pride.

Meanwhile, the rebuilding of Chinatown commences. The WEO embassy has been refunded and is being rebuilt. The Prime Minister condemns the attacks, but has angered a large portion of the population in doing so and there aren't many Chinese and Indian people left within the FRNS. Most were killed, died due to their injuries, or fled the country.
  4. Namibia feels quite threatened. DRC and South Africa seem to be eyeing it suspiciously. HMKX would act, but it is too weary of war. Even if they straight-up invaded Namibia, HMKX would probably do nothing.
Lastly, the Empire is angered at these attacks. HMKX, while tired still has enough energy left to finish the job. HMKX secretly tells FRNS that if these attacks continue, they will prosecute the War to its end, with no peace agreement afterwards.
  5. The NPATAR is looking to purchase 6 Ulaanbaatar-Class Cruisers, 6 Nanking-Class Destroyers, 1 Incinvicble-Class Carrier, 2 Sheffield-Class Destroyers from the HMKX Empire. These will go towards poorer navies, such as Cameroon, Kenya, and Cuba
  6. The WEO thanks FRNS, but literally no one is liking the population of FRNS right now, as most of them are seen as radical racists
  7. [I'm not back in the game, this is OOC]
Could I see a map of the current world, along with factions, etc? I'm very curious as to how the game has developed since I left. Also, what year is it?
  8. Map is on the first page and year is 2004
  9. First page map is terribly outdated.
  10. SOLD
  11. UFOS has downsized it's special operations division

We will also be downsizing other parts of the military
  12. Year: 2004

Not much changed, the UNAFR gave up some colonies and the UWE arrived. This map doesn't include alliances

  13. Smoking, as in cigarette smoke is becoming heavily enforced. Taxes have raised 2% on cigarettes, a new law also passes, stating that people who were seen to have been smoking their entire life who come into the hospital with Lung Cancer related to that smoking will not receive free healthcare. The age of legal smoking has also been raised from 21 to 24. Alcohol is also being taxed by 1.4% more, and any damages or accidents caused by drunk driving will not be paid by insurance companies. The government is consulting with the Minister of Health on ways to cut down on fats and sugars in a daily American's diet. Companies are pushing for healthy alternatives, fat and sugar-free solutions and much better nutrition. The UNAFR is pushing for a much healthier society and expects to cut down obesity rates by 20% in the next 10 years.

Companies who hold sugary and fat-inducing products, basically junky cheap foods, are urged to start pushing through healthier alternatives or force an intervention with the government.

As for the environment, air quality has been reported to have changed for the better, and the WEO marks a decrease in gas emissions. As of 2004, the UNAFR leads the world in hydroelectricity and Nuclear power.
  14. UFOS has seen how smoking kills people and has passed the Smoke Act Preventing smoking around kids and only in specific areas the penalty for smoking withing 10 feet of a child is 15 years in prison
  15. 15 years is a bit... much... especially for teens who may be smoking
  16. The minimum age to smoke is 25 in UFOS and anyone who has sold any type of cigarretes to minors is sentenced to at least 20 years we will not stand this any longer
  17. Prime Minister Michael A. Evans has told the FRNS media that he does not plan to change anything about the FRNS's smoking laws. Everyone aged sixteen and above is currently permitted to buy and smoke tobacco and will remain able to do so for the 'foreseeable future'.
  18. HMKX has decided to crack down on Cigarettes, Weed and other Drugs.
They will be treated as public health epidemics. Alcohol is permitted for age 19 and up, to avoid ticking off Korea and China. There are limitations on the Potency of alcoholic beverages. Excessive drinking will lead to hospitalization and treatment.
Marijuana is permitted to age 19 and up. Excessive smoking will lead to hospitalization and treatment. In addition, they must be rich in CBD relative to THC.
Cigarettes are permitted to age 19 and up. They must follow strict requirements for recipes such as being low in Nicotine and advertisement, and treatment has been subsidised. This will be treated as a Public Health issue. In addition, there is a high tax placed upon all three items, mostly for profit.
All other drugs are strictly banned and only distributed by Government to those who are already addicts, for the means of treatment.
  19. The UNAFR thinks this is literally outrages. UFOS have no idea what they are doing and are in their state of loose cannonry again. There is literally no need for anyone who smokes or sells cigarettes to a minor to be sentenced to 20 years. It's insanely foolish and has created a call to end insane prison sentences in UFOS. No one who sells cigarettes should be sentenced to 20 years, that means that even teenagers in high school caught selling cigarettes to kids their age and under with experience 20 literal years, an amount murderers make.

The UNAFR calls for every other nation to denounce UFOS new law, no country should treat their citizens like this, even if cigarettes are bad, it isn't a "hey, you sold someone cigarettes, they said they were 18 but they were actually 16, hey, we're going to ruin your life, tear apart your family and make sure you miss out on life and serve 20 years! That'll teach them!"

Marijuana generally isn't illegal in UNAFR because there isn't scientific evidence to back up overdoses and dangers, but smokers must be of 19 in age or older.
  20. UFOS denounces UNAFR saying they want all of their children to smoke cigarettes and weed

UFOS has seen a tad bit of reason and reduced the sentence to 5 years or 10 with possibility of parole
