Genuinely a good idea I'd say. I don't watch, read, or listen to any news. If it's really important, people will tell me about it. Else, meh why bother. Sure, I might miss some things, but is that slight negative really so significant compared to all positives?

The news is negative because people crave negativity.

My sense of humour IRL is quite sarcastic, dark, sometimes offensive. At some point I couldn't distance 'IRL me' and 'EMC me' and it spiralled out of control. Eventually some people took it all in a way I didn't intend. When that happened I doubled down on it, got bitter, eventually got out on mod watch, handed out a few insults to staff members, a day later I got banned.

It still baffles me how so many men could have the balls to say that they are so much better than their wives and other females. I've come to realise that so far, society has probably always been weird, its weirdness just changes along with time. :P

I guess when they're told that by society and raised to believe it they put up with it. I think it was only with the rise in widespread education they realised "wait hang on lol".

Probably that yeah. I wouldn't do anything like that nowadays, but maybe if I had been brought up that way I would have... Society's influence can be insane.
