Same here. I know nobody who can afford to have much food. My own family doesn't really and there used to be weeks where it was either nothing, a can of beans, or my grandparents would buy us stuff. Can't wait to go back to 2008-2012. I'm sure the other people in this town will too!
UK has free healthcare (inb4 American comes in saying ItS nOt FreE) too and outside of the cities and towns near them it's a beautiful place, but education is severely lacking and that's how you end up with people voting to leave the EU after the EU has funded their lifestyles for decades (e.g the beaches near me would still be covered in crap if it were up to the UK,
have a nationwide canal in disrepair, our farming industry would be dead, etc.). It's so ugh. I quite like Germany too alongside Canada although their new rebranded Nazi party becoming the 3rd largest party is moderately worrying lmao
I'm obviously biased, but I'm quite comfortable here in the Netherlands too, and there are many other countries nearish that aren't that bad either. :D
Also, many countries are too large and too diverse to say that one country is 100% more beautiful than another.
(Although the Pacific Northwest is objectively the best)
It's just sad Korea is going down the drain, my country has no future in the current system.
I would instigate a violent revolution, but that'd probably fail.
It maddens me to see my Motherland go out like this...
No glorious stand against Chinese hordes, nor a bright future in reunification, or invading Japan and giving payback, just a slow decline, induced by ourselves at that.
To specify, lots of youth are stuck in dead-end jobs with jack in the way of social mobility. Even worse, the Chaebol system allows rich people to effectively control many things and launch people into positions they don't deserve, and a lot more.
Go invade Japan. I'm sure that'll give the millions of dead people in both countries a future. Although, non-sarcastically, I'm sure all of the whales that the Japanese murder and all the turtles that choke to death on their excessive plastic waste will have a future.
I am not seriously stating Korea should invade Japan, although if Korea had the means to invade and rule... the gains would be negligible, of course. Invading China would be a much better choice.
We're smart enough to fight flooding. Fun fact: most of the land below sea was land WE created ourselves.
Oh and speaking of Canada, it has also a fair amount of flat lands. And over 80% of Canada's land is uninhabited - most people live in (big and massive) cities near the US border. :D
But all that inhabited land is beautiful <3
Also, invading China is the stupidest idea I ever heard, good luck massing against their giant army and THEN their allies.
Yeah the Chinese army was crap in the 1950s. Pyongyang's fall was almost a done-deal but China decided to join in. They managed to push both the United States and the United Kingdom (which at the time still had a pretty big empire and Australia and Canada were still legally binded to it) out of North Korea by their sheer numbers alone.
No point in warring other developed countries anymore. Diplomacy is the answer, whether you like it or not, I don't know how Warlord likes the idea of killing innocents of people. Well, that's what I get from what he rambles on about.
