Yeah, you wouldn't be able to request it. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't do it. The original is also about 50 minutes long, if you play it in full. I don't think that'd work on piano, with all the pitch modulations.

I was here for over a week, though, and the piano is in very good shape. I could borrow born_ego's camera and record! This is the Night version of the Map theme in Wario Land 3. It was composed by Kozue Ishikawa. I did the Day theme long ago, see the card. It is very nice. It sounds similar to the Day theme, and yet very different as well. It's not too fast, so I was able to play it very well. When I last edited a piano video, I don't think I had VEGAS Pro yet. I do now, and used it for some colour correction. Zelda is still my favorite out of them all <3 The problem with digital piano, as much as they try to implement and advance the technology, the sound doesn't come close to the areal vibe of a piano. And then, the additional sound from pressing the key on a digital piano. I have to use headset while playing, to just not hear it, as it feels very disturbing to me lol I'm wondering, if using MIDI cable for sound recording purposes would maybe help with it? Anyways, it was a joy to browse through and listen to all the songs, thank you again 607!
Depends on the type of digital piano you have. I personally play on a Yamaha Clavinova, Which actually has a way better sound as most string piano's (I play on a $ 70 000 concert paino when giving concerts, and I honestly like my Clavinova better) and on a Nord Piano 2, both of those sound just great anyway, but actually sound best if you derectly record the speakers they have, as the piano is made for those speakers. I have never actually recorded cheaper stuff, but I asume it would work the same. It might also be that you're using a keyboard instead of a electrical piano: A keyboard gives the same volume every time you play a note, an electrical piano gives way different volums and, for what I'm using, the character even changes when playing close notes, like an actual piano. A keyboard will simpely never sound good, an electrical piano probably sounds best if you record its speakers derectly.
You mean an electronic piano, or probably rather a digital piano. An electric piano is an entirely different instrument. As Jelle said, digital pianos can actually be really good. But I do also prefer acoustic pianos, most of the time. Recording from MIDI would be better. If I ever record from my own piano, in Amersfoort, I will do that. I prefer acoustic pianos anyway, though, as I like that more. An authentic experience is more important to me than good sound. Ha, thanks! I'm not sure I'm am. I certainly don't play like someone who's had piano lessons; Jelle has made me plenty conscious of that. Your answer to the question isn't correct, but moreover, for YouTube videos the answer should always be posted in the YouTube comments, so people from other forums or from YouTube itself can also see whether the question has been answered yet or not, and what the answer might be.
I play on Yamaha Arius 143 and wasn't complaining on sound in general, but more so on the additional plastic sound I hear by pressing a key itself I suppose, it all boils down to personal preference at the end of the day, as I honestly would have hard time to rate any digital piano higher than the real grand piano experience, which, sadly, I have had a chance to only once in my life Or maybe it is a nostalgic feel, as I did start my lessons on antique German piano and I still remember the feeling of immersing into the sound, since I used to rebel and take off the front cover of the piano. I'm sure, our neighbors were happy when we changed apartment back then haha So yeah, I stand with 607 there on authentic experience I have no doubts there are awesome digital pianos out there and I also looked up Yamaha clavinova. Don't know which one out of them all you play on, but my eye ear fell on 685. Sadly, the city I live in, has no such stores you could simply go to and try one or another out in real environment. Video reviews are still video reviews, watching/hearing isn't the same as feeling it in reality Not that I would be able to afford such a piano anyways, but it sure would be great experience to just walk into store and try them all lol
"Oops, I took a while uploading the next one. This is an arrangement of the Bubble Bobble theme on the Amiga, itself arranged by David Whittaker. The arrangement I did is very good, I'm quite sure: I arranged it a while ago, and at some point realised that there were multiple mistakes in my arrangement, and I had to relearn parts of it. But now it's, as far as I can tell, pretty much perfect to the original! It's a lot of fun to play, too! This was my last try for the day, and it was my best one, as I didn't have any major mess-ups, and I got the end right, which is very hard, as you can see the left hand needs to make quite some large leaps back and forth. However, it's still not at all flawless. In the beginning I was sniffing a lot for some reason, which is a bit annoying to me, but moreover, I hit some wrong notes here and there, especially in the introduction. Also in the introduction, at the beginning, I hit the C's way too loudly, I'm not sure why. At 0:48, I do clearly hit the key, but for some reason the note didn't play. That's unfortunate, but you'll have to imagine it in. But well: if I want to upload covers that are on my level as well as covers that are way below my level, I will have to upload imperfect covers! I don't have opportunity to record often, and not for hours at a time, so I can't grind performances until I get a great one. And honestly, I don't think I'd enjoy that! So if I want to upload some of these fun harder themes, I'll have to settle with a fun performance, instead of an impressive one. "This cover's almost perfect! I know I say I don't strive for perfection, and I don't, but it's still really cool if things go as they should. This very satisfying theme by Kozue Ishikawa isn't particularly difficult to play, and rather simple to learn. It's all about consistency, and here's the thing: I'm not good at that. Usually I'd hit some unintended keys here and there, or fall out of the rhythm for a few beats... but not this time! When born_ego's mother listened to my performance she remarked how solid the rhythm was. One part that IS difficult is the one after the sustained note. That F-Fis-G-C-B-F-G sequence is really quite fast, and was tricky to learn. But once it got into my muscle memory, this wasn't much of a problem either. I will probably keep playing this from time to time, as it's so satisfying to me. I hope it's not only satisfying to play, but also to listen to! I can’t believe this thread has been around for so long and I didn’t find it sooner. At the moment I can’t, watch the videos, but later this evening I most certainly will! Excited! In the last couple of weeks I just started teaching myself to play the piano. Although I look forward to the day I can tackle the more difficult pieces, for the time being I’m just sticking to the simple stuff. Can’t wait to follow the trail of inspiration! Cheers! 😁
I'm glad to see the post! When I saw the likes on some of the first covers I was afraid you weren't going to watch the more recent videos. The first few videos in the thread were made when I didn't know as well yet what I was doing.
"While I'm working on a big project, here's another Wario Land 3 cover. This is quite a lovely one, I think. I like how I had to jump around with the left hand. I trained myself to use the pedal to sustain the last note in those melodies where necessary, but on this piano that exhausted my leg, and this piano has so much reverb that I didn't really need to sustain it anyway.
