Impressions on the new dungeon. 1st floor rooms http://imgur.com/a/ZxEK0 This floor is very dark with a lot of generic mob spawns, zombie villagers, and some vindicators. 2nd floor rooms http://imgur.com/a/1QTOe Most of the rooms and halls on this floor have windows so there was less generic mobs up here but this is where you first run into the Evokers and theirs just as many if not more vindicators. I saw about 5-6 Evokers and got 4 Totems 3rd floor rooms http://imgur.com/a/3sd18 Shortest floor (3-4 rooms) and I saw no hostiles up here. ----------------------------- My advice: --What to bring A good enchanted diamond armor/weapon set An enchanted bow A shield A decent supply of quality food and potions (buffs, healing, and a few splash potions to help clear out the generic mobs) An enderchest A lot of torches (so you don't get your backside chewed on by generics spawning in areas you've cleared). A bed Some generic blocks (a stack of wood is usually the best) --To make it easier Seal the stairs to the second floor and the hallways next to the stairs to make a little safe zone in entrance area. Set your chest/box with your extra gear and your bed in the safe zone before heading off into the mansion. Places torches like a demented ferret hunting shiny objects. Search rooms carefully and don't forget to look up (some of those loot chests hide well)
What Wool creatures have you seen in the mansions? So far I have seen a chicken, a cat, and the creepy villager guy with the torch... Have any of you'll seen any others?
Maybe interesting to know, it just hit me, about the shulker box: behaves like a Shulker, which means so much that you can place it anywhere you like! On the ground, sticking on a wall and even on the ceiling. And that opens up a lot of new possibilities to build some kind of mass "storager" (items come in on one end, and shulker boxes on the other). One problem, I tested this today: the shulker shell is a rare drop. I wouldn't be surprised if prices would go up to 100k per shell At least in the beginning.
ty for pics ur the best (well we have like a 4-way tie going)!!!!!! EDIT; Hey did u guy see that there was a rare allium in the private library in Missfables pics?
I'm having fun with it and having these on hand will be useful for planning resource raids once it comes out on EMC. Also I just put up the 2nd floor pics (I will add the 3rd once I finish captioning the 2nd album pics)
Sort of new mobs I have not seen mentioned here yet. Found them thanks to an idea LadyJaye had when I was messing with commands. New Shulkers!!! "{Color:10}" is default purple one we already know about. EDIT: https://imgur.com/gallery/LPkikLV Code: /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:0} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:1} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:2} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:4} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:5} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:6} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:7} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:8} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:9} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:10} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:11} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:12} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:13} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:14} /summon minecraft:shulker ~ ~ ~ {Color:15} Also another llama thats invisible. Code: /summon llama ~ ~ ~ {Variant:5}
They haven't put in the mechanic for it yet. Were having the same problem with feeding/breeding/riding Llamas.
Late reply... xD But yea here is another screenshot apart from what the others have shown https://imgur.com/gallery/LPkikLV
Not rare, its a 0-1 chance. At least in my testing. I get about a 45-50% drop rate without looting. How did you do your test?
I discovered something interesting with Shulker chests and auto-jump. You can place them directly below you and it will push you up onto it without you jumping, weird huh? You can just push yourself up with them if you really want to xD
I tested this by giving myself a stack of Shulker eggs, armored myself with regular diamond gear, a shield and a bow with both regular & tipped arrows (Instant Damage II). Then I spawned & killed around 8 shulkers. The end result was 1 shell, which makes me conclude that the drop is likely going to be rare. Also noticed a possible bug: when the shulker has a very low health (one blow kills it) it starts to shoot particles through his shell (so without opening it), that doesn't seem to be normal behavior. Anyway, still got the same setup so I'll try again today. I suppose it is possible that I was simply unlucky And of course I'll also be venturing out to the End later on. PS: Noticed that the shields have become more awesome? They also fully block those levitate particles now.
Actually, NembonMC from SciCraft dug into the recent code and found the real answer: The Shulker Shell is classified as a "Rare Drop": it only drops singularly by direct player-death; Looting instead increases the probability of getting a Rare Drop. A Shulker Shell have a base 50% drop chance, and each level of Looting adds 6.25% to this rate. Killing a Shulker with a Looting III Sword, held in your Main Hand, a shell will drop 68.75%, or 11/16 of the time.
