Hi, it's me again! I can only play the demo world currently, on this account. Thus I cannot connect to EMC. On my alt I can connect. My alt is a Mojang account and my main is a Minecraft account, maybe that has to do with it? If you also have a Minecraft account, could you check if you have the same problem? Probably not, or I would've heard about it already, I suppose. But maybe most people have a Mojang account nowadays...
I honestly don't know anyone other than you who still has a Minecraft account. That being said, I would pay special attention to any notices in the launcher if I were you, as this might be Mojang's way of "forcing" people to notice that they can migrate. If so, it's kind of cruel but ingenious at the same time.
Doesn't Tom? I've tried to migrate before, but it said that currently, Minecraft accounts cannot be migrated, and that a solution is being worked on. :|
Isn't a way around the very old accounts is to upgrade to a new one then when the time comes upgrade again? Or does that not work?
They have begun migrating accounts. I'd imagine if they get to your account you'll be contacted somehow. This is Mojang though - they have a habit of just doing things without telling anyone until after the fact.
Huh. Maybe I really am one of a few people, then? I feel like that can't be true. I cannot migrate, by the way, see https://account.mojang.com/migrate. I've contacted Mojang support, let's see if they will be helpful.
Tom and I both migrated from Minecraft to Mojang accounts when Tom's account first got hacked. Especially now that I work for professional build teams, security is of great importance; I have gotten more than one "someone tried to login on your account"-messages which weren't me My main Egeau account doesn't even have access to the server of the team I work for right now. I have an alt that's on a Microsoft account with two-factor authentication, which I use for the NDA-level servers. Speaking about that account: I recently had the same issue you are having on it. The problem fixed itself with a quick restart of my laptop, but it could be an indication that the non-migrated account isn’t the problem here. Maybe try logging in via a program like MultiMC? The differing launch system might fix the issue, or at least allow you to work around it for a while Edit: my memory might not be the best - see Tom's...
That's not true, my account got hacked as a Mojang account. I migrated long before that, as I heard about many people's accounts getting hacked back then. I still remember where on minecraft I was when I did that, but I don't remember what server that was. I like Jelle's suggestion of trying MultiMC.
Sorry, I forgot to say: it doesn't happen anymore! Mojang Support didn't get back to me after one unhelpful link, and I don't know what caused it or what fixed it.
This just happened to me, and the fix was to skip the login screen. It only appears if you haven't opened MC in a while.
The vanilla launcher opens with a login screen if you haven’t opened it in a long time. If you log in through that screen, the game opens as a demo version. If you *have* to log in, you can use that screen, but reopen the launcher and skip the login screen and go straight to “play.”
I have had the same problem if I login as Microsoft account rather than a Mojang account. I transferred it over like they wanted but Minecraft won't run more than the Demo if I use the new Microsoft login so I don't see what the point was....or is it a bug?
Same happened today, when I migrated to M$: after migration, only Demo was available. Looked their help pages and did everything, no help.. Solution?? Reboot PC!! Open MC launcher. Remove ALL accounts. Login with M$ account.
Sorry for bumping old thread got this today when I migrated my sisters old account was there ever a fix for this solved?
