WOOHOO! The empire is growing fast! With all these new players we need more moderators on the server to help out. This is NOT a new revision of the staff application. This is a reminder to all players that if you think that you have what it takes to be a moderator for our great server you should apply!

What Are We Looking For?

• Community Leaders
  • All of our staff are comfortable with taking a leading role and being a moral example for all players, new and old alike. The staff strives to be the best that it can possibly be in order to maintain the Empire and its amazing player base.
• Activity In-Game and on Forums
  • We expect our staff to be available to assist players in game and on the forums with questions or to monitor the chat using our moderation tool: Square. We are looking for active players in all different time zones to better suit our player base.
• Patience and Kindness
  • Sometimes as a staff member you are often in the middle of upwards of 5 conversations at once. We expect our staff to be able to handle each conversation as if it were the only one going on. Sometimes it gets hectic, but we want staff that are going to try their best to make sure that each player gets the individual attention that they deserve.
• Fairness in All Situations

Hey Community,

Recently I have seen more and more reports in the database that are not reportable. The /report tool is in place for moderators to effectively and efficiently handle rule-breakers, but with a lot of report spam, that is difficult.

Therefore here is a guide to what should and shouldn't be reported. Hopefully this will alleviate some of the report congestion so that we can better handle the more serious reports.

Do: Report players that purposefully spam chat.
Don’t: Report players for accidental double posts.

If someone says something twice, then abruptly apologizes, give them the benefit of the doubt and don’t report them. Why, you may ask? With our chat system, you can press the up arrow on your keyboard to go back through your last typed comments. It is very easy to accidentally do this and make a double post. However, spamming and apologizing to the extent that a moderator thinks it is being done on purpose may result in a temporary break from Empire Minecraft at the discretion of the moderator.

Hello Everyone!

Due to requirements from the Mojang EULA, soon Supporters can no longer gain extra max residences as part of their perks.

However, due to a grandfather clause, anyone who purchases a residence before the perk is removed can keep it!

So, to assist with users who would like to purchase max res LIMIT increases, we have added an option to purchase vouchers that *soon* can be redeemed for an increase to your official "Residence Maximum".


UPDATE:We just reduced the price of this to 30$ for each! If you purchased at 50$, please PM an Admin your transaction ID and we can either refund you 20$ or credit you 250k rupees (that's a bit more than 20$ worth of rupees)

What's the cost?
The cost is 30$ USD per Residence Upgrade. We think this price is fair considering that this upgrade is permanent vs the 1 month time span Gold/Diamond itself provides.

What about my existing Residences?
Absolutely nothing will happen to any claimed Residences as long as they do not go derelict.

What's different about this compared to now?

This upgrade will be PERMANENT! That means, even if you lose supporter, you will then still keep the max res limit upgrade.

Additionally, when using vouchers you can get up to 6 Residences per account!...

Hello everyone! Sorry for mid-day update but Krysyy thinks this update is big enough to justify a mid-day update so she has convinced me =P

New rewards has been added to voting!

== Tokens ==
Voting now rewards a user with Tokens! We debated on the scale of the rewards for this quite a bit, and came up with a scale we feel is comparable to the effort it takes to vote compared to actually killing monsters.

So, lets be clear that voting is not going to be nor intended to be a full on replacement for earning tokens instead of killing monsters or doing the other activities.

Voting will now give a base of 5 tokens per vote, and 10 for TopG and MinecraftServers.org.

There are then additional bonus tokens for various Bonus levels.

>> What If I am already at a high Vote Bonus?
The same as when new rupee bonuses were added, you will NOT receive every missed bonus. You will receive 1 of every "Bonus Level".

For example, there is a bonus level at 2, 5, 15, 30, 50 and 100.

A person at 100 is going to get 1 of each of those, but not 50 2's, 20 5's, etc. Otherwise this would throw a giant amount of Tokens into the system quicker than it would of even been possible to gain through killing monsters.

Your next vote will give you a pretty decent bonus.

Your friends have a corner of SMP4 town where they build together but your res is on smp6. To move to the same server as your friends you would need to sacrifice all your hard work on your res.

Good news, senior staff services has been tweaked by Aikar and we are now able to move reses between servers. The cost for whole res relocations to a new server is 150,000r. While we cannot copy Utopian reses to SMP servers we can copy a SMP res onto Utopia. Please note that some items are server specific and are very likely to be broke on a new server (promo flags and maps at present). The restriction to whole res relocations within the same server also apply here too.

• Residence Teleport System signs will need to be replaced
• Redstone/railtrack/flowing water or lava will copy but might be going in wrong direction.
• Item frames/paintings may not copy at all or copy without contents/wrong image.
• Entities on res will be copied but will lose any additional data (all villagers become standard villager, Sheep lose colour, horses stats and colour are reset)
• To avoid duplication issues players will not have access to their res during the process.
• Currently not allowing moving res between accounts.

I would also suggest that anything of sentimental value is stored in your vault.
