Hoo boy... I'll need to update this list, but for the time being, here's a list that was last updated a while ago... Got an updated list now! (as of 7 Nov 2019) Sydney4363: (Sydney is my name irl) So I was creating a Roblox account one day, and I typed in the name 'Sydney'. Unavailable, obviously, so I decided to close my eyes and type in 4 random numbers. It came up with Sydney4363. I then got a Minecraft account soon after, and decided 'Why not use the same name for Roblox and Minecraft'? Limes4363: I like limes. SydneyLikesDC: I would be breaking EMC rules if I said the real reason, so here's a reason I made up: I owned a mall, but people could only sell to me in double chest quantities. SydneyTheLime43: Amalgamation of various previous names. SydneyTheGreek43: Greece. July_4_1776: American independence day. K9J: 3-letter names are rare, so I changed my name to one. CinemaSins: I used to like CinemaSins. Not so much anymore, though... Sydney_43: Simpler version of Sydney4363. Sydney4343: Simpler version of Sydney4363. AltInAction: InAction names are were popular on EMC, so it's Alt. LessMoople: I am friends with MoreMoople, so I did the opposite of her name. ComeTo5688: 5688 is the residence number for +Deco. CinemaWins: It comes from an alt name contest I ran. Smooshed_Potato won with the name of CinemaWins. PineapplePizza43: I like pineapple pizza and 43 is my favorite 2-digit number. SDuck1D: CDuck1D is my friend. C is the first letter of his first name. S is the first letter of MY first name. MusicThePizza: Another submission from an alt name contest I ran. Not sure why, but I really love the sound of it. SMP2isBest: Self-explanatory. ellhnika: Google translate "ellinika". Golden_Breakfast: From an alt name competition I ran. Thomas_Sanders: My 2nd alt's name when I wanted it to be private that it was my alt. 4567FarmersMkt: http://emc.gs/t/76887 4363: See explanation for Sydney4363. MMMMCCCLXIII: 4363 in Roman numerals. MHF_Cod: Marc's Head Format head for the Cod mob. Srysyy: Similar to Krysyy, but with an S because my name is Sydney. SMP2Mall: I was going to build a mall, but didn’t. -=—————=- wafflecoffee: I did a sort of “online rebranding” of myself, changing from Sydney4363 to wafflecoffee. wafflecoffee is my website, https://waffle.coffee. wafflecoffee#: Alts. pumpkinwaffle: Pumpkins, for spoopy month! thankfulwaffle: Thankful, for turkey month!
I forgot about this thread, letalone that I do not think I revealed my original username in my original post. IsaacNorman, that was my original username with the Gene Wilder skin of Willy Wonka (Rest in peace my good man...) on my Minecraft player model. I don't blame you if you've never heard of me or remember me with my original username, but now you can see why I chose the current username and persona I am today: It sticks.
I made this one up when I first got MCPE( before I got MCPC ). Inspiration: Nuclear weapons + Bobombs from the mario games.
Skiddylicense04 came from 5 year old me coming up with a username for club penguin. It just stuck with me, and I chose to stick with it 6 years later while creating my MC account. Skittylicese05 however, comes from me letting a younger sibling spell Skiddy.
Dang, I remember Club Penguin. I never played it because I was in my teens back then, but I had a few younger friends who did and quite liked it~
I'm not sure how much clearer I have to be..? Also, I have no idea why you'd think I'd give out personal information about myself when everyone else is clearly talking about their username.. Interesting origins of your usernames guys. I like hearing the origins of player's usernames. I think it's interesting to hear about how diverse the origin stories are~
Well my name... My name being my irl name spelled backwards and the 555 well my grandfather died at the age of 55 in 2005 and him being the biggest influence for me nowadays I decided to use that as my name so I would always remember him
You don't need to be any clearer, you should just include actual relevant information, in case you'd like to contribute to the thread's intent (which indeed I am not doing). I'm pretty sure the thread is about the story behind a username, or a reason for picking it. If I say "607 is my username. On other websites I have also been known as supermariobrosdeluxe and superwissel" I have not contributed to the thread, I think. Interesting, belac!
I've explained my original name a couple times on here but o'whale. Previous known as Kiraboo13, still keeping the Kiraboo thing alive even back then. After playing for a couple months I changed my name to TheKutesyKiraboo and it just stuck. Quick explanation on how I came up with it: My real name is Kirsten, I openly say that. Taking the first letters of my name created "Kir". Taking the last letter of my middle name added an "a". Lastly, taking my childhood nickname of "boo" and there you go.. k i r a b o o was born. Adding cutesy in front was just something 12 year old me thought was cool, and changing the "c" to a "k" was even more edgy in my opinion. (I don't agree with this today but still, I like the name too much to care) Thus is also why I go by "Kira" since it is easier to say and in my name. ALTHOUGH, right now Burk corrupted my usual name and skin.. hints why it's TheBeansyKiraboo and not Kutesy. Never again will I bet him, or ask SMP8 for a new name.. even though I secretly love it
My first ever username was LilyRae150, because I had a dog and her name was Lily Rae, and I just liked the number 150, not sure why. I stuck with different variations of this name over the years. Now, my name is Tayolren. It's a play off of my first and middle name, I was having trouble figuring out how to get away from the name Lily, so I took my name (Taylor) flipped the l and the o, and added the first half of 'Renee' which is my middle name. I still can't pronounce it myself.
sounds familiar.. hmmm to be fair, I can't say your name to save my life.. also I am sorry, but this post made my day. why? no clue, but the effort and thought put into the process of choosing a Minecraft name is so clearly demonstrated. 10/10
Actually, I think I've done a great job at substantively adding to this thread. But that's just my opinion. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The post I made a day ago was to supplement my original post. I could have appended my original post but, no one would have gotten a notification for it, nor would they have seen it, unless they read the entire thread from the beginning. (Be honest with yourself, not many do that.) You could consider my second post a "Part 2" of my original post~ (Basically, I felt like I left out a bit of information, so I decided to contribute some more.)
Ha. Just saw this thread, and as it actually came up in-game the other day, thought I may as well spell it out here as well. Someone actually pegged my real name the other day on smp1, which is Ryan. (much of my life people mistook it for Brian) When my kids got me into the game, my name of course wasn't available, but having lived for so many years in Latin America, the Spanish speakers most often mispronounce my name as Don RRain (being a rolled double R for those familiar with Spanish, "Mr. Rain") so I decided to basically use that but just using the letters of my name. As time went on I often started using it jokingly as there are so many classic rock songs I like that use the word Rain, and thus was born a number of new songs, ala Raaynn. thus though I have thought of changing it, its just never happened. So gamers may often find me out hunting mobs in the wild, using my trusty RaaynnBow, and humming along to my favourite hits such as "November Raaynn" and "Have you ever seen the Raaynn". .
I do like your username, but it took me very long until I could consistently get the right amount of As, Ys and Ns.
Original name was BlackKnight1021, based off my high school's color/mascot and the Monty Python sketch, plus my birthday. Once name changes rolled around, there was some discussion on how to handle staff name changes to make sure everything was still clear. I was originally just gonna do BlackKnight (because I came to hate the numbers), but that got snatched up cuz I wanted to be careful and waited a bit. Well, by that time my name on SMP8 had gone from "BlackKnight1021" to "BlackKnight" to "Knight" to "BK". iUlti then started calling me "Burger King" and the name caught on. Wanted to keep "Knight", though. So here I am, one BurgerKnight later. I also used to go by Zortike in Runescape, but it got hacked and I lost all my money. Dropped the name after that.
My name originates from a Minecraft name generator online and I got mommybot but the name was already taken but me and friends used 42 in all of our names mommybot42 Actionsim42 Koolaid42 Sharpie42 this is something that originates in Douglas Adams book "hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy" in which says "The Meaning of life is 42"
Sometimes a name is a name for no other reason than I liked it so I created an account for it. #NameHoarder
