  2. So when can you do it
    Lol 😂

  3. ooo me likey-- there's already too much spam messages that pop-up each time i join anyways :D
  4. I agree with Chickeneer. This is probably something that could be kept in a log, or something other than "/p".

  5. Agreed! I also don't see why it wouldn't be shown right away, as it is shown to other people (if they have join and disconnect messages on at all), and during a connect you get a lot of messages anyway.

  6. Improving my earlier thought. A command which will output a list of your most recent logins. That will take more time though

  7. +1 im all for it as long as adding it doesnt delay 1.14

  8. I think just the simple command that tells you how long you were offline for would be more than sufficient for what we are looking for. Plus that should be easier and quicker.

  9. Perhaps. But giving more data back to the players is a good objective as well. I don't think I would ever use it - but I could see someone wanting to look when/where they were logged in recently at.

  10. Out of curiousity how long would something like this take to develop and implement? :D

  11. Coding time. Negligibly small amount. But the reason ' I ' can't just sit down and write the code for it right now. Is because I don't know the fine details.
What will be the command be. How many entries do we want them to see. What should it say when the player types a wrong command. etc. Those "fine details" honestly stress me out. lol. So it can take an unpredictable amount of time for me to find the motivation to overcome that and just do it.

If I had to give an estimate. A full-fledged implementation, with all of the bells and whistles, probably an hour. Again only so long, because of those fine details.
(not counting the time spent thinking about how I might want to implement this - not at a computer)
  12. +1 to what you said or +1 to what chickneer said

  13. I love all your faboulous commands, but I still fear a command like that would unknown to most people, especially those who haven't been online for a while. To me this seems like information I'd want to see every time, and wouldn't want to run a command for. (Again, everyone gets to see how long it's been, why not the only person it should matter to?)

  14. Awesome. :) i appreciate the response

Perhaps the command should be /lastseen # with # being a variable amount of listings for historys sake?? :D

  15. Thanks, nice idea, but you still haven't directly responded to Tom's suggestion. :p

  16. ??? Could you clarify. I'm not making any final decisions here and now.

  17. I mean that while you have said you are against the suggestion, you have not given any arguments, or counter arguments to the arguments of Tom and me.
It's completely unclear to me why you'd prefer your suggestion above Tom's, especially because the improved version of yours certainly seems a lot more tricky to implement than Tom's. ;)

  18. Not everything has to involve an 'argument'. ;)

I do know that our login messages are a bit messy currently; the suggestion as presented would not help that issue but potentially worsen it as well.
I also have a strong opposition to trivial player settings - and I would put this in that category. We should either implement this, or not. Foolish to make it configurable.

Let me be clear, I am not saying "no" to the suggestion in general. We will be taking it under advisement when we rework the login messaging... Part of me responding, was to potentially spark more discussion.
  19. I think you might have missed this massage is what 607 was hinting at (post #20), it was at the end of the page (just like this one... :p)
