Random Quotes and Sayings Thread!

  1. With the same sort of principal as the likes of forum game threads and random screenshot threads, I came up with the idea of a random quotes and sayings thread. Any kind of funny, silly and serious quotes are allowed here, so go ahead and post away. I ask that you don't post anything rude, though. Now, let's get on and share some quotes and sayings!

    I'll start us off with this interestingly powerful message I found the other day, it is a bit long but I felt I should share it:
    'A boy was throwing starfish into the ocean and a man came along and asked, "What are you doing?"
    The boy replied quite simply, "I am throwing these washed up starfish back into the ocean, or else they will die through lack of oxygen."
    "But", said the man, "You can't save them all, there are thousands on this beach and there are thousands more on other beaches along the coast. You can't possibly make a difference."
    The boy looked down and frowned for a moment; then bent down to pick up another starfish, smiling as he threw it back into the sea. He replied, "I made a huge difference to that one!"'
