let's talk about skyrim!

  1. morrowind's dlc is great. The Major Oblivion dlc is great too. Both are better than skyrim's dlc in my opinion.

  2. ok good.
  3. Morrowind has a fantastic story, but the gameplay and graphics are painfully outdated. If you don't mind reading, you'll probably enjoy it, but be prepared for some grind early on. Once you get your skill up on your chosen weapon or magic style, it's not so bad.

Oblivion is lackluster in the story department, and feels much "smaller," but it plays better. Less dice-roll, more action-oriented. Good timekill, better graphics, though still far inferior to Skyrim obviously. Brighter, though, not so much dirt and gray and grime everywhere.

In that case, don't bother. Mods are the only things that have kept both games alive and playable this long. Never, never buy an Elder Scrolls game for console, it's just a waste of money.

  4. I played skyrim for about 1000 hours on the 360... I loved every minute. Except that one quest with the thieves guild leader where the water fills up the cave. Took me like 2 hours to figure out how to get out of there.

  5. that quest was very annoying, but a great reward. I really don't mind consol because I have never had a computer to play pc games on, so consol was my only option. I bet I would like pc though, given the option.
  6. Oblivion and Morrowind without mods is unbearable.

  7. i started freaking out when i wasn't finding the way out.. but i still needed air so i just followed the water up and the exit only took me 5 minutes to find. lol

  12. neloth got pretty fed up with me screwing up the water level mission in solstheim...he got pretty lippy...i was like "if you wanted someone good at puzzles, you should be in portal, not skyrim!"
  13. i would listen the heck out of that album!

a cover of "i will follow you" for starters...
  14. officially the guild master... 43 stupid jobs later i got all 4 special quests for the hold and FINALLY after a week.. finished the guild quests

.... now to complete 82 more quests to get the 4 other special items on my bookshelf of awesome for the guild -___-
(larceny targets) i'm still in need of the goblet, pitcher, flagon, and the safe! oh lord, see you in who knows how long >_<

  15. I remember doing those quests, several times in fact (perfectionist when it comes to these games) collected everything and did everything to the point I got a level 114 character, at that point it was time for another one, an Illusionist (now level 119) then finally I came up with my Khajiit blademaster (two handed, light armor) Who is currently residing at level 83 with only the mages guild to be done.

  16. I've decided to try and wrap up Torrhen's (my nord) story by the end of this year, for the simple reason I'm getting bored as playing as an OP badass in Daedric Armour. Thinking of starting a Khajiit or Argonian playthrough - maybe both - once I finish the game (I'll probably just play through Dragonborn and finish it there, because I want to finish the main questline on my 'private' save). Any suggestions on what I should play as?

I don't do well with magic-centred characters and I'm a crappy archer, too. The best race who, in the lore, does well with smashing heads together that isn't a nord is best for me, I think :p

Although, saying that, I do like the idea of doing a PUNCHCAT playthrough...

  17. if starting over i'd recommend an imperial, since you get extra coin here and there... which when you're used to not having to think about spending is a huge bonus!

plus, kinda love being the dragonborn and killing the stormcloaks and being their prophesied saviour when i'm an imperial... meh heh heh...
  18. Thanks for reminding me about this thread :)

Methinks Jordis needs a clean towel to get that dragon blood off.
