A little bit about the religious tension Generally, in the Sunayyad Caliphate, all religious practices are allowed, and entire non-muslim communities are still supported and recognized. However, even though freedom of religion is a right under the Salaam Act literally written in 1920, no one can ever get rid of tension. Some Conservative muslim communities still exist, especially in Arabia, those communities which insist on Muslim traditions, strict wearing of the Hijab and Burka, Sharia Law and the exemption of other religions. Luckily, those Conservative Muslims are blocked from growing in cities and have frequent meetings shut down, but some towns in Saudi Arabia is where you'll find the worst conservatism, basically social extremism, thankfully not terrorism, but still something to worry about. Although the government allows them to practice their own communal rights, they are still oppressed from growing, especially Wahhabism, which is strictly banned. The Hijab is optional, and the Burkha is banned in some places, as it is even a non-muslim dress. Still, some communities which live in their own bubble literally live the full Islamic life, filled with women oppression. Photos of Women in the Sunayyad Caliphate: (not in black and white for some reason, wowow!) PERSIA LEBANON: EGYPT: AFGHANISTAN: ISRAEL: For the record, yes, these are real photos from the Middle East (not Saudi Arabia, lmao), mostly before the revolutions, especially the Iranian one. The people are happy, and for the most part, very free and inclusive. Is everyone? No, there are still thousands, maybe even 10s or 100s of thousands of muslims which believe this new wave of "Westernization" is anti-muslim, and especially the fact that women aren't required to wear hijabs, and many women are seen walking the streets like models, without headwear, and with the latest fashion. So yes, not everyone is happy, but those people have little success in opposing the change... Jews, Muslims and Christians in most of the nation live in harmony, in some parts a little more seclusive, and in some parts it is unheard of. South Nubia however is the largest Christian populace, but also very well treated. Basically, everyone lives together like good humans, but you can never get rid of the rotten humans. And yeah, the Anti-Caliphate Eastern Orthodox and Catholic Christian organizations are probably as worse, if not more worse than the conservative muslims in the Caliphate. Just a side note, the LGBT community in the Caliphate is against the law and completely banned, fortunately, under the government and justice system, being gay does not equal being killed or prisoned, it may only mean just being frowned upon by society. Gay marriage is also a massive NO NO. Although, sometimes if you're gay in the wrong communities the government is going to lack in helping you get out of it... Pride parades are non existent, many people have never even had the idea cross their minds, and any pro-gay whatever is stripped down. Honestly, this isn't me, myself Otus doing this, you have to realize that this is realistic, being gay in the Muslim world is a taboo and punishable by death in most places, I am just trying to be realistic. Also, you must also realize many nations nowadays are also anti-lgbt, still, so just a fair warning, the anti-lgbt laws are literally what would have happened in real life anyway, and I don't shroud any of this in real life.
The Military has drawn up plans for a Future Supercarrier. It is rumored that the largest of the designs is over 125,000 tons full load. This is patently false, disinformation spread by the SEUIA. However, the actual designs are mostly still a 40% increase over existing designs at over 100,000 tons full load. The SEUN proved Nuclear Power could work with Tang. With Gojoseon, the SEUN will put it into action. Or s so they hope. However, it is so absurdly large that the SEU Government refuses to fund it until 1970 when the SEUSA has gotten its funding reduced and some of SEU's long term projects come to a close, because right now they can't fund that. Make no mistake, SEU could build 12 of those things if they were a military-obsessed, gun-nutty nation obsessed with war (wink wink). However, SEU is not military-obsessed, or gun-nutty, or obsessed with war. The SEU Congress agrees to replace old Supercarriers with them in a 1-to-1.167 basis, but no more. This means the SEU Supercarrier fleet will increase by a grand total of... 1. Given, the tonnage will nearly double. But still. In any case, Yuri Gagarin has also went to space. His flight has proven immensely useful for the SEUSA, who gathered data on him by placing various instruments within the spacecraft. The flight was uneventful, and went almost exactly as planned with the glaring exception of the fact that the planned orbit which would have allowed him to fall within 8-10 days (the length of the life support system and onboard water /air rations were 12 days), had been altered to a 18-20 day falling orbit. Gagarin felt Zero Gravity was very odd, but that it was somewhat fun. It was good. Except for the end. He landed the Saratov Oblast where he met some locals who were very afraid, due to the fact he was wearing a very odd looking space suit. The craft nearly crushed a School, missing by 12 meters while the man himself was ejected as planned. They believed he was some sort of Alien or spy and would have shot him if not for the fact that on his helmet were the letters Cosmonaut of the Socialist Eurasian Union. He asked for a telephone to call the SEU Authorities. However, he was delayed significantly due to the locals flocking to see him, as he had landed in a small suburban village. Communications equipment with Gagarin was broken at landing, resulting in a delay of some 90 minutes and the SEUSA frantically discussing how to handle the fact that their much-celebrated Cosmonaut died. The SEU Propaganda and State Media industry attempted to break into the SEUSA building, while the SEUAF sent men to stop them because the SEUAF and SEUSA are working together in many projects. Heck, the SEUSA came out of SEUAF. The SEUSA did not tell anyone about this at the time, although the authorities demanded an explanation as to why there was no report for about 90 minutes. Gagarin "enjoyed" a meal in space consisting of two meat pastes and one dessert paste. The launch vehicle Vostok-K was tested with a very alive human and it performed well. SEU has gathered much data about this and is planning to make several more launches in the coming months. The Socialist Party has decided to steal a bit of funding from various government departments for what is basically a vanity project. Given, it'll be at most a couple hundred Soci. A physical manifestation of the Mandate of Heaven. A literal plaque that says "Mandate of Heaven", the outer layer being made of Titanium and the inner layer Stainless Steel. The Titanium is mainly to prevent corrosion, because the Mandate of Heaven Corroding is kind of degrading to the people of SEU and very demoralizing. The Party is well aware that when (not if.) power switches hands from their corroded, corrupt husk of a future self, to whatever future alternative is able to better provide for their people, the end result will be bloody. Revolutions in China are never peaceful, they are always bloody and the SEU Government wants to make it less bloody by simply having the Socialist Party's future degraded dysfunctional corrupt self just give the Mandate of Heaven to the new rulers of... whatever is left of SEU after the Socialist Party completely fails to do its job. The Socialist Party makes many such vanity projects. For example, in the Palace of the Soviets there is a boxing room because sometimes officials need to let off stress. Also, there is a cafeteria inside the Palace of the Soviets, really 2. 1 for visitors, 1 for the people that work there. The menu is the same, but the kitchens are not. SEU is cooperating with India more. Despite the fact that the mountainous border between them prevents land trade, Sea trade is very active.
SEU acts to culturally assimilate Vietnam and eventually consume it, marching in without any resistance. To achieve this end, SEU is slowly focusing its efforts to culturally assimilate its neighbors on Vietnam. Many Chinese dynasties attempted to consume Vietnam by force. This is impractical, Vietnamese are going to fight. But what if Vietnamese could be made... not Vietnamese? This is exactly what the SEU plans to do. SEU also is doing the same thing to Japan; export Chinese-Korean culture, massively and make the Japanese loyal SEU citizens before marching in with an army. Annex the nation before it is annexed. To win without fighting is supreme excellence. SEU does not annex nations outright. If they do, they launch a campaign of cultural assimilation. SEU wages war. A silent war. A war where the SEU exercises its control of the press and silences all opposition. The SEU almost never does that, the SEU actually lets the press report almost all problems. And here we get to the greatest evil of the Socialist Party. It obliterates every culture that is not its own. It is fundamentally expansionist, it is like the Nazis in a sense. Just far more practical, far more patient, and far more motivated by fear. It is a mutation of China. No one knows where the mutation came from; most probably Russia. It offers two choices. Join and become a part of the collective, or join and be destroyed, without a trace. It does this with everything, or it plans to. It wants to assimilate everything. And it has all the time in the World. It will make trade deals, sweeten the offers with their immense resources, build other nations tunnels, build other nations weapons, build them everything, and be their best friend. SEU is the world's biggest humanitarian aid dispenser for a reason. SEU hates invading nations; that's hard. SEU instead uses much more peaceful means. All they have to do? Use Russian, use Chinese, use Korean, use Kazakh, use Ukrainian, eat Russian food, eat Chinese food, eat Korean food, eat Kazakh food, eat Belarusian food, eat Ukrainian food, let Russians in, let Chinese in, let Koreans in, let Kazakhs in, let Belarusians in, let Ukrainians in. SEU will become a part of them, and vice versa. Their name will be added to the list. Belarus joined peacefully and now SEU is promoting Belarussian culture. Kazakhs joined peacefully and now SEU is amplifying Kazakh culture bigger than Kazakhstan could have ever have done. Korea is probably the biggest beneficiary of joining SEU; Korean culture is invading Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines, not China. Koreans settle in the nations of the world, despite China being a hundred times bigger Chinese and Koreans immigrate at a 10:1 ratio. Korea has been amplified by 10 and is assimilating other nations with the help of SEU. Given, SEU troops did march into Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus, but they didn't actually resist. SEU was happy about that. If they had resisted, SEU would have obliterated their cultures. But they did not, and now they are rewarded for their loyalty by having their culture broadcasted worldwide on television and radio. If someone doesn't want to join peacefully, too bad. They will join. They will not have their cultures amplified. They will end up like Tibet. SEU is fundamentally built on Imperialist Ideas. It's just that SEU is ten times more patient than the European powers.
The Australian Insurgency: While the SEU public was overwhelmingly in support of aiding Italy in its fight against the Imperialist UK, one nation was not. Australia. Australia due to its small population size was constantly ignored by the SEU Government. After all, the SEU Government was way too busy dealing with Russia, China and Korea. Australia's population scarcely exceeds 10 million; Korea alone is 50 million and the third most powerful region in SEU, after Russia and China and Korea and Australia have not been on the best of terms. Australia is not happy SEU is at war with their buddy. Really, Australia wasn't happy about much of SEU's actions to begin with, even if SEU actually was beneficial. Australia's 4th Guards Army (48,000) and the 12th Guards Army (51,000) have risen in insurgency. These are the entirety of the forces stationed at SEU Australia. Nothing else. Okay. Time to explain SEU armies. Guards Army: A home defense army, on par with US national guard. Has fewer armored vehicles and less men, at most 2 corps. Around 50,000 men. There are 14 Guards Armies. Mechanized Army: Not even an army, but it's a corp-sized Armored Forces that has been glorified. Used as spearheads to aid Combined Arms Armies. Combined Arms Army: Offensive forces, incorporating mechanized forces with men and mostly around 100,000 men, or 4 corps at peacetime. However, in wartime this fluctuates as SEU attaches different Corps to armies at will to change their responsibilities. There are 7 Combined Arms Armies. Mao Zedong volunteers to fight, as he is still a Marshal of the SEU Army, although only in name. The SEU is skeptical at the aging man's ability, but his high profile-status and immense fame as a War Hero means that SEU has some things to gain. SEU high command puts him in charge of a Corps and leaves it at that. SEU and their populace is furious, and uses the last of their patience to ask Australia to please not. At this point, they've organized into a Democratic Government, and while most people don't care whether SEU or the new Australian Government rules, the military and a pretty good portion of the population does. They refuse. SEU immediately calls up 4 Combined Arms Armies to rescue Australia from the insurgency and requests men to defeat the Australian insurgency. Many sign up to remove the rebellious government and to rescue Australia. Yes, the SEU Government uses language that indicates it is rescuing Australia from dangerous rebels. It's... a bit of a stretch, but the SEU Government prefers to distort the narrative, not make its own. In any case, the SEU Government emphasizes they are Liberators, not Conquerors. With this in mind, the SEU troops arm to win the hearts and minds of the Australian People. SEU has done a lot of good for Australia, after all. Indonesia of all nations are aiding the Australians. Indonesia denies it, but SEU is all too aware of Indonesia's devious schemes.
SEU pulls back one of their Supercarriers to support the SEU invasion liberation, yeah totally! SEU is unable to support Italy, Italy understands that SEU has their own problems, but Italy is not in a good position either; they are unable to invade by sea without France's help. And France refuses to help Italy despite being nominally their ally. SEU is pulling its pants up and getting ready for war, somewhat. SEU doesn't need to go all-out, that would be a waste of time and money. The 125,000 strong 4th Combined Arms Army will be the second force to invade after the SEU Marines. However, this will not be easy. SEU knows this, and the extensive desert will not be useful for the SEU, but it will not stop them. They will take back Australia. The SEUN using Naval bases in the Pacific they took from the US attacks the Australian Forces. Australia also has one of SEU's Supercarriers, Socialist Australia. However, they cannot actually operate their Supercarrier and the SEUN overwhelmingly defeats the ragtag Australians. SEU uses their Navy and Marines, and operates far around Indonesian territory. The SEUAF raids Australia constantly. In any case, Tibet is getting restless. Australia fought for their independence, why can't they? While some oppose it, there is talk of revolting against SEU and their tyranny. SEU is well aware of this, and acts to defeat this threat by using whatever tools they have, by sowing discord among the Tibetans and attacking the Tibetan Independence Movement silently. If they revolt, the SEU response will be merciless and will destroy the Tibetan Revolt. SEU does not tolerate rebellion. There can only be one Socialist Eurasian Union on Earth, and once SEU takes something they do not let go, ever. Not now, not in one thousand years. For the next couple years, SEU is going to be dealing with constant attack, both in and out of their nation.
OOC: I dont feel like helping an insurgency at all but would you want me to do it to help your storyline warlord?
You don't have to help out. If you help out, I'm actually worried SEU might fall apart. SEU is going to be dealing with revolts in Hong Kong, Macau, Tibet, Australia and Kazakhstani Terrorists. DRC and South Africa are in near-constant trade and economic conflict and fails to contain NAE influence. UBR is doing jack all to help SEU. The Soviet Union is watching the spectale that is SEU trying to supress like 4 revolts at once and doing basically nothing to help. Indonesia's going to war with SEU eventually. Basically the only good thing that's happened to SEU is the fact they've kept their Space Program and Long-Term Projects thriving and much improved relations with India.
Sunayyad Caliphate: Having a Golden Age, booming Economy only third to SEU and India, both of ehich are absolute units. RUM: Doing okay. Despite the sucky, Neo-Capitalist policies, it's not in any imminent danger. UBR: Alive but is acting very isolationist/WaffleCoffee not here. Italy: Other than a war with Great Britian and the most uncooperative allies ever, doing okay. SEU: REVOLTS FIRE AHHHH STAGNATING ECONOMY UNHELPFUL OR OPENLY REBELLIOUS "ALLIES" (HUGE AIR QUOTATIONS) JSI4HQOVR93B4BAN.>}`☜_8`△\○「94I5IHWBDKTOWKQBT82
My plan for the Sunayyad Caliphate: 1960s: Golden age throughout an entire decade, basically the 1960s, goals are being reached, the GDP rises, people are happy, imports and exports are looking good, the economy is thriving, and the entire country is doing well. 1970-75: Golden age begins to slightly plateau, reering at the end of it's stages. 1980-90: Golden age ends, the growth of the Caliphate continues, it does not fall, but it doesn't return to the insane skyrocketing success of the 60s. 1990s: Probably the worst era, more than likely the condition of the Caliphate such as the economy and well being of the country starts to decrease for once, probably the worst decade for the country 2000s: Redemption from the Depression, the Caliphate's well being increases, although much less than the golden age of the 1960s. 2010s: Not decided, WW3 according to Warlord, and the end of the world as we know it. Leaders in power: 1970: Ashqar Ayyad retires due to old age, and promptly rests and dies in his sleep in his home city of Medina, as a faithful servant of Allah. Due to the Parliament and Greater Government's power increasing, Ashqar's role as Caliph becomes more of a religious leader and less as a political one as the Musafakhi Parliament gains more control over the country gradually as the 1960s goes by. 1970: New Caliph chosen by Ashqar directly before he dies, not much is known, except that he is a Shia Muslim Persian with possibly some Hebrew blood in him, (possibly). Not much is known about him, but since he is a Shia Muslim instead of a Sunni Muslim, he will be known as the Imam instead of Caliph. Basically, Caliph: Sunni Imam: Shia 2000ish: The Imam is the longest full standing leader of the Sunayyad Caliphate, without any breaks in his power. In the 90s he seems to fail the Caliphate however, but luckily makes it out of the 90s alive, leaving that decade as a failure and is Honorably Discharge, or possibly, Impeached. 2000s-2010: Government changes, Republicist party takes over, ultimately disbanding the idea of the Caliphate and making it into a Secular Republic, just known as The Sunayyad Republic. A little bit before WW3 (whenever it will happen): The Republicist government is overthrown and the Caliphate is reborn by some very mysterious man in an epic way. OOC: This is just a rough sketch, but what I think is best
The Musafahki Palace of the Sunayyad Caliphate located in New Babylon is a true image to the sheer mass of the Sunayyad Dynasty, expressing more wealth than the Fatimid Dynasty, or the Abbasid. It's at the North end of the New Babylon walls, which by the way makes it the BIGGEST walled city in the world, yet only second to the Great Wall of China in length. It sits beside Ishtar Gate, an exact replica of the Ancient one. The Palace isn't tall like the Palace of the Soviets, but it is very large nonetheless, fitted with many fine details, gold leaf lining, bright white stone walls, and with many domes with Islamic Architecture. OOC: Obviously, this is a palace in Dubai, however, just imagine it's near the white walls of the city, and just imagine it's a government building lmao. Inside, aside from the Crescent Chamber, the massive hall filled with seating on each side for direct consultation of the political parties and direct requests to the Caliph, (very similar to the House of Commons in britian), there are large hallways fit with historical paintings, rugs, sculptures, pottery and artifacts. It is almost like a house, with four very large kitchens with food ranging from all over the region of the Caliphate, living rooms, tea rooms, dozens of bathrooms, and much more, swaying to the fact that indeed people do sleep and live here, Ashqar has is own private suite, while there are enough rooms to fit all the generals, province governors, Greater Government Ministers, and so many more. There is also a swimming pool, and even a dance and game hall for when members of the Parliament get bored, which is very often if no meetings are in session or Ashqar is not in the building. There of course are prayers rooms, basically indoor Mosques, one which is the Private Mosque, only for a very select few very elite in the government and the Islamic Clergy, it's a small one. Then there is the Fellowship Mosque, open for absolutely everyone. There is even a very small prayer room at the back for other religions, such as Jews, who yes in deed, are in the government, though Lesser Government at most. Many ceremonies go on, cultural guard from all around, such as Turkey's ceremonial Guard, the Ceremonial Arabian Guard and the Egyptian guard perform their traditional practices at the palace gates and court yard. And yes, the Sunayyad Caliphate Marching Band, known for being the GREATEST! (heh) in the world has performed here... luckily for everyone's ears and society, only once, and never again, lmao. Inside a traditional sense is still held, with many candles burning beautiful aromas, different on every occasion, and many flag and candle bearers. Aside from all the massive rooms and things to do, it is VERY costly, takes forever to maintain, and in the end looks like this However, even though this Palace built by the 1st Caliph, Mehmet, is grand and spectacular, Ashqar follows his humble ways, and chooses not to indulge in the luxuries. He eats lesser meals during the dinners, rarely walks through the Main Golden Hall, which can only be walked by the Great Council and above, and he is also seen praying in the Fellowship Mosque instead of the Private one, breaking millions of strict protocols, as he has been seen quite literally having full on conversations with servants and the cleaners, just imagine, the Great Islamic Caliph over one of the biggest nations in the world, taking his time to talk to a Jewish floor sweeper! His actions speak of him truly being apart of the people, he wants to open up the place for tours for the entire city, but only a select few who pay very well can have guided tours, that may change very soon though. He rarely sleeps in the building's suite designed for the Caliph only, as he prefers to sleep in his small private estate on an artificial hill outside of the city walls, where even though his house is quite small and served by a few servants, he sleeps. Of course, the place is guarded like the atmosphere guarding the earth, security and safety is always considered first, the grounds are surveillanced 24/7, and everyone has to get through a guard checkpoint before entering. You may only see guards with rifles and their ceremonial dress, but beyond that are highly, highly, trained body guards and security personnel with greater weapons who are behind the scenes and could stop any assassination faster than anyone else could. Basically, Ashqar Ayyad is the most well protected man on earth, even though yes, he sleeps in a small estate outside of the city walls.
The Caliphate considers assisting Tibet and Australia, but decides not to. In reality, the SEU is a thorn, with every opportunity they can take, they want to make sure to damage the Caliphate as bad as they can, even if it means going against the morales of our world. Example: Assisting the Zionists and Israels Independence, the South Nubia insurgency, Aiding the spanish in WW2 to get rid of the Caliphate, helping Italy invade the Balkans, helping Ashqar become the Caliph, and possibly more. Helping Australia would mean spending precious resources and military equipment to possibly lose an insurgency, along with all of the SC's military equipment. It's just not worth it, even though the Caliphate hates how the SEU assists every Caliphate enemy, the SC just can't find a reason that would end up good in helping Tibet or Australia.
The first SEU Armies have landed in Australia. The 4th and 5th Combined Arms Army has landed and is defeating the Australian resistance with ease. The reactions are mixed. Some hail them as Liberators. Some resist. Some just don't care. However, the SEU is yet to attack the major Urban Strongholds of Sydney or Melbourne. They've been marching (or driving) through desert, mostly in Air-Conditioned cars with very little resistance. Most Australians don't care, SEU hasn't been very oppressive at all and has actually brought boons to Australia. SEU had been on decent terms with SNE until this whole mess began. However, some are fanatical rebels. In short. 95% of population: Don't care/slightly pro-SEU or anti-SEU. 2.5% of Population: Definitely Pro-SEU. 2.5% of Population: Fanatically Anti-SEU. It is this 2.5% that poses a problem. That's 250,000 people. They will fight and die. They have AK-47s and armored vehicles. They know the terrain. Remember how I said that the AK-47 would come back and bite SEU? Yeah. This is it. It's coming back to bite SEU right now as you read this. It's so damn easy to make and so damn cheap the Australian insurgents can use it against the SEU. The SEU 4th and 6th Armies is marching around the seashore, resupplying at towns. They cannot enter Australia's center lest they have to end up asking the Suanyyad Caliphate for help in the scorching Desert. Therefore, they march around Australia. The SEU 6th Army is in route to attack the city of Sydney. The 4th Army is sweeping up the Western and the plan is to rendezvous with the 6th. In addition, there are minor riots against SEU authority in Tibet. SEU Police is exceptionally nice; they play nice, and SEU has some of the most strict Police Training in the World. The SEU Police are hard pressed to maintain order; their nice tactics are not working, and the SEU Guards Armies are way overkill and would probably fire on the Tibetan rioters. SEU is in a worse and worse position by the day and their situations has worsened by the fact that Macau and Hong Kong are both rioting as well, although not as bad as Tibet, they might rise up against SEU. Current Map:
The SEU Police Chief in Tibet has asked the 14th Guards Army for help. Tibet is ungovernable; the Police can't do anything lest they create a mob. People loot and kill with impunity; ethnic Chinese are persecuted. At this point, SEU has to stop playing nice. It was about time; SEU had been playing nice for years and Tibet spat in their face repeatedly for it. Tibet is in anarchy. The law is dead and the Government cannot maintain order and peace. The SEU Army approaches. For better or worse, Tibet will never be the same. The 14th Guards Army gladly obliges; 50,000 men are mobilized to maintain order in Tibet. Despite the Guards Armies being part-Police, part-Soldier and are trained as Policemen to an extent (which basically means they act like US cops. SEU cops are really nice and doesn't turn to their guns all the time.), they are still soldiers. SEU 14th Guards Army (almost all ethnic Siberians) officers fired upon violent protestors, scattering them utterly. Note violent. This was a mob, no doubt about it. Some had guns and were actively firing into the 14th Army Troops. The 14th Army is amazed that the SEU Police Corps have dealt with this for months on end without having gone stir crazy and shooting up the natives. The SEU Police Corps are just that good, and just that peaceful. However, there were also some peaceful protestors. The SEU 14th Guards Army fired at mostly mobs, but inevitably there was violence upon peaceful protestors. The SEU propaganda department gets to work; the Media was kicked out a week ago when the 14th Guards Army was mobilized. The SEU Propaganda machine does what it does best; distort the narrative. And they don't need to distort it all that much; the SEU 14th Guards Army was acting mostly in self-defense. The SEU Government censors all images that may suggest that the SEU 14th Army was acting in non-self defense, although the SEU Government tells the newspapers to write that "there have been unsubstantiated reports of Army violence against civilians, although as of now there is no evidence whatsoever for such events." In any case, the SEU 14th Army is now in open conflict with Tibet, and the Tibetan Insurgency is on.
The 14th Guards Army has been recalled and replaced with the 13th Guards Army, consisting of Inner Mongolians and non-Tibetan ethnic minorities. The 14th Guards Army acted in self-defense, but they have acted less like Police and more like Conquering Warriors. This cannot stand. Because of their conquering attitude, SEU will now have to put in massive amounts of effort into rebuilding the burnt bridges. They are acting like a Combined Arms Army, when in fact they are a Guards Army. SEU is angry that the 14th Guards Army has worsened a chaotic but still manageable situation into an outright rebellion against SEU authority. Tibet is raising armies to fight the SEU; Tibet has declared independence and requested aid, because clearly the monstrous SEU is oppressing the poor Tibetans! (Actually true. After negotiations broke down with Tibet, SEU outright imposed oppressive measures against Tibet after overwhelming public support for such measures.) The SEU 13th Guards Army will meet up with the newly raised SEU 8th Combined Arms Army and defeat this self-declared Tibetan Empire. There cannot be more than one Empire under the Sky. And that Empire is SEU, its Emperors the People, and the loyal servant the Socialist Party. The Tibetan Empire requests that the World have pity on it, particularly the Balkan Federation which fought a hopeless war against Italy and won. India bluntly states that the "Tibetan Empire" cannot stand on its own Economically, and that Tibet is better off as an autonomous province of SEU where they don't starve and can practice their own religion. India proposes a return to pre-1947 conditions where Tibet is relatively independent but is still under the SEU banner, therefore maintaining the condition that there can only be one Empire under the sky. SEU and Tibet both don't care. The SEU public is angry that Tibet would dare fight them. Tibet is angry that SEU would dare oppress them. Tibet is already getting aid from the very rich, very powerful Japan which is sneaking in aid between Bangladesh and Bhutan. SEU can't invade Japan or force them to stop, Japan has a Nuclear Arsenal. However, Japan is in no position to directly aid Tibet. Tibet Backers: Japan: Mostly to undermine the SEU Government. Indonesia: Also to undermine the SEU Government. Malaysia: To use Tibet as leverage to get back some Islands from Vietnam, a member of the Soviet Union. Tibet Potential Backers: Balkan Federation: Did basically the same thing against Italy. They should care. India: India supports an autonomous Tibet under the Suzerainty of SEU. Anti-Tibet: Italy: On very good terms with SEU and has dealt with independence activists before. Vietnam: On very good terms with SEU and has zero reasons to like Tibet. SEU reminds its men that they are not conquerors. They are here to take back SEU citizens, into SEU territory, and back into the SEU fold. Any crime against a Tibetan is the same as a crime against a Han Chinese, or Korean, or Russian. War Crimes will be punished with special harshness, because a crime against fellow Socialist Citizens is a crime against Socialism, and a crime against oneself. They are to distribute food and drink to the Tibetan people, and to assist them in rebuilding what was destroyed. Meanwhile, the SEU 6th Army is facing difficulty in fighting Australians. To remedy this difficulty, SEU has deployed an armored Corps of around 50,000 men and several hundred T-54 tanks.
FOUNDATION OF WESCO The Sunayyad Caliphate founds the World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or WESCO. The WESCO's mission is to contribute to the building of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, the sciences, culture, communication and information. Currently, the Headquarters of WESCO are in Constantinople. Why is everything in Constantinople? Well, I guess it's just in the perfect spot. A rich merchant city at the Bosporus Strait and also where East meets West. The organization looks at a cultural and educational standpoint, instead of just being some stupid alliance, it's a way for nations to unite, attract tourism and to expand their culture and country beauty into the world. The world's biggest egos, the SC and SEU will love this. Every nation is invited, WESCO is not an alliance, even two complete enemies can be in WESCO. Special invitations were given to the nations that WESCO believes would be a perfect fit for the organization (almost every nation), especially SEU, India, RUM and the UBR. The entire WCA is already signed up. SEU had a much more special invitation, with for some reason the calligraphy letter art meant to spell Unity in that nation's main language, being in Mongolian instead of the designated Chinese/Korean and Russia Characters. Whoops! The offer was to place a second WESCO headquarters in China, most likely in Shanghai, at least, if the SEU accepts. There is no real leader of WESCO, yes the SC founded it, but in the end the biggest and most influential nations in the organization will be the so called "leaders." Anyway, have at it.
SEU bluntly states that using the Mongolian Characters, which is not even a part of SEU (if they are going to use a weird language, use a language that's even a part of SEU, even Tibetan would be better than MONGOLIAN), is an insult and that they are busy putting out internal fires, and that they will join but do nothing of value. But as of now, SEU is currently suffering 2 internal revolts and another 2 unstable cities which might revolt. SEU is suffering from extreme internal instability and this is probably the worst time for SEU that this invitation could be extended.
Getting into the SC is quite simple, depending on who you are and where you're visiting. Since the SC is expanding the tourism industry to diversify their economy morally, making it easier for visitors and tourists is a priority to make the Caliphate's World Famous WESCO heritage sites such as the Pyramids of Giza and New Great Library of Alexandria easy to hitch a tour too. The historical sites in the SC are also very well maintained. Coming to the Caliphate to visit? Quite easy, there are many historical sites, busy and alive cities full of things to do, and hotels, and lots of resorts, especially insanely well kept Oasis resorts in Egypt and Caspian Coast resorts in North Persia. Want a visa? Actually quite simple, in most countries you don't even need a visa just a passport (WCA and countries apart of the Islamic Union). However, countries with more tension to the SC like the SEU, most socialist nations, the NRE and some others will come with harder visas to obtain. Although, even with not so politically friendly nations, getting turned down is quite rare. Want a work permit? You just need to confirm your duration of stay, which is on average 6 months for most, confirm you're place of work, your activities, that you'll leave exactly as your date of leave, that you have enough money to survive in the country, and that you're not a threat to the nation. Education permits are easier to obtain, work permits are the hardest, as you're obviously coming in, making money from the country, and then leaving. Immigration is also quite easy, you just need to fill out the proper paper work and confirm your contribution to the working machine that is the Sunayyad Caliphate. All in all, the work that is done to get a passport or visa is just filling out paper work and identifications and birth certificates, complying with the SC agencies on your terms of stay, the confirmation of your legality, if you're a threat to the nation, and that you're staying legally and not working for other governments without letting the SC know. Filled out your paper work? Good, get your bio metrics settled, a photo and fingerprints, get your stamp of approval and if you're approved, you're good to go. If you're denied, tough luck. It isn't very common that people get turned down, but there have been cases where spies coming from the SEU have been caught and detained. Even during the South Nubia insurgency, multiple SEU agents and supporters of the insurgency were detained. The SC focuses on making their sovereign nation as clean of threats and as safe as possible. Sure, getting in the nation isn't very difficult, the time it takes is somewhat smooth, but if you're from a not so friendly country (which is more than likely Socialist) then you're gonna have a bit more rough time to get in than lets say someone from Canada or the NAE. Again, keeping the safety of the SC and it's longevity is a priority, and if you are seen as a threat, you'll be looked into very closely, going through even more lengthy paper work, and may just get turned down. Getting a citizenship isn't all so impossible, but there is an obvious favoritism. Muslims will almost always get the easiest treatment and accessibility to citizenship, especially if you're a MUSLIM from another nation in the ISLAMIC UNION. For some reason, Central Asia and the NAE seems to have the easiest time. To become a citizen, you have to have stayed in a permanent residence in the nation for almost 5 years, with only 6 months interruption. You must keep a clean morale and law abiding record, and have shown a contribution to the nation, whether through work or greater means. Again with favouritism, Muslims get it the easiest, as well as South East Asians. The hardest is probably the SEU... But lets be real here, who tf from the SEU is gonna become a SC citizen? In the end, everything should go smoothly and to plan, with some bumps on the way if you're from a not so friendly country to the SC, but the SC is one of the easier countries to get into.
WESCO formally apologizes to the SEU and accepts their choice to expand the date in which they wish to join. Who the hell did the damn Mongolian characters! Tracking was done and apparently it was linked to a BULGARIAN member of WESCO who had send the Mongolian Calligraphy Art at the front of the invitation to the SEU, and had sent the Chinese/Korean/Russian caligraphy to the Mongolians by accident. He was promptly fired.
The Sunayyad Caliphate passport is one of the most beautiful in the world, being a well toned green with golden letters on the front, with the main symbol of the Sunayyad Caliphate, a Golden Star and Crescent, surrounding a beautiful Arabic Calligraphy piece and other things (I haven't decided yet) at the top. Below it says SUNAYYAD CALIPHATE PASSPORT, in Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Kurdish, and in Hebrew, the main languages of the Caliphate.
The Balkan Federation has submitted a request to join WESCO. Meanwhile, the Balkan economy is growing at a rapid rate. Nationalised public transport is cheap and easier than ever to use, and every child now attends school until age sixteen and education quality is very high. Planning permission has been granted to the Balkan Railroad and the road running through the Caliphate and TBF is nearing completion, making construction jobs very lucrative. For once, the Balkans seem peaceful.
