They have declared war on the Balkan Federation, aiming to annex certain regions and implement a fascist puppet government. The Italian invasion force cannot break through the Greek-Albanian border. The Greek soldiers are tenacious and will fight to the last man, and on top of that are well-prepared for the invasion. The Balkan Federation, however, does not have as much resources or manpower as Italy does, and cannot go on forever... Furthermore, while the Italians aren't having as much luck as they expected in their offence on Bosnia, they are certainly doing far better than they are in Greece. The Bosniaks and Bosnian Serbs are retreating to a defensive line around Sarajevo.

The Soviet Union has invaded the Balkan Federation. As SEU (by no choice of their own, people keep jumping off cliffs, comittining suicide, insane last stands) commits Genocide in Japan, they find that constant bombing has reduced the once great island nation to nothing. It's too easy. So they flex their might elsewhere. SEU has invaded with 500,000 troops under the command of Field Marshal Zhukov, in an amphibious operation. It is quite successful; SEU's been doing this for years.
Battle of Zaragoza: Tireless fighting in Northern Iberia has led the Caliphate to retreat, although they failed in defending Northern Iberia, it was for a good reason, but in the end, they weakened the SNE force to a great extent. Now is the fight for Zaragoza. If the SNE wins this battle, it would be a heavy loss for the Caliphate and would force them to retreat towards Madrid for a massive bloodbath. Panther tanks and the ominous Tiger tank move steadily towards the city which is heavily fortified to where streets are literally blocked off with scrap from the scrap yard and enforced with heavy wood beams and toppled on with cars to the point where they are nearly impossible to push without heavy equipment. Their journey to Zaragoza is easy, literal waves of vehicles, soldiers, tanks and logistical vehicles cover the somewhat flat landscape which is easy to move along on, with the occasional Tiger and Panther breakdown of course, but even then in the massive army moving as fast as they can, they know their time is short, forcing them to leave nearly 3 Tiger 1's and 2 Panthers behind due to mechanical problems. Although they are scuttled in the air and are bombed and face devastating casualties, they cannot be stopped. They finally make their way to Zaragoza where they are attacked from every corner. They find the main roads they were travelling on were fitted with IED's and mines, causing a halt of their lines. They failed to notice the hidden soldiers in the wheat fields and trees with anti-tank guns which shocked their armoured force. Even though they were totally ambushed and lost many vehicles, they still persisted on. They finally hit Zaragoza, and that's where they bombed the literal hell out of them. Whole city blocks, destroyed by SNE carpet bombers, destroying Caliphate positions. The streets were literally stained with blood, buildings were in rubble and were prone to collapse. They were forced to act in the strategy of taking 1 building at a time, 1 city block every 6 hours. This style of warfare was uncommon to the Caliphate army, as they specialized in more open conditions. The battle lasted 4 days, when one side took a building, the other took a next, making most days pure stalemates. Heavy artillery bombing ensued on both sides who never stopped, causing both sides infantry to go mental. It wasn't until backup arrived that things started to pick up. Both sides were starving, short of supplies and ammo, and although the Caliphate had superior supply lines, they somehow couldn't make it in time, an ode to the fact that one mistake and a one day delay of resources could spell a devastating result for the Caliphate. The Panther, Tiger, and M4 crowded the streets. Overall, the Panther and Tiger were literal morale droppers, their massive size and invulnerability to most attacks worried fresh Caliphate troops, but the veterans from the month before were literally in battle rage, in some cases when a Tiger tank was terrorizing a Caliphate street, one older Caliphate Veteran apart of the Masif Corp went literally berserk, shouted Allah Akbar into the smokey air, and then with a bomb strapped to his body ran to a vulnerable spot of the Tiger and detonated himself, destroying the Tiger and killing himself and the crew inside. The M4 could never attempt to fight the Tiger head on in a street, the only case where an M4 defeated a Tiger was if another M4 came through another street and had a rear shot of the Tiger, or if infantry threw grenades on top of the tanks, but the Tiger always had another tank to support it and infantry. The Flamethrower though, holy hell, I don't want to keep kissing its effective ass, but in the streets, it is surely a different sight. Soldiers supplied with the Lahab 32 flamethrowing kit were in safer conditions, having adequate cover and the same survival rate as an ordinary infantryman. They stormed SNE controlled buildings, ignited their flame and completely burnt everyone alive. The M4 Crocodile brought a bonus to this, rumbling down streets corners and lighting up every window where a Fascist was. It caused many Fascists to surrender, even causing a whole building of nearly 50 to put their hands up. But they are also with flaws in the city, due to their fuel tanks being so close to hidden soldiers, it can easily be destroyed by a well-aimed anti-tank grenade or two, causing the entire tank to blow up. Overall, in the end the SNE shouted their victory. They had the advantage in numbers and in strife and had more experience in building to building combat. Still, like the last battles, another massive hole appears in their forces. They are even weaker than before and now face starvation and little supplies. During the battle, armoured patrols of the Caliphate and the A40 went around the city and completely wrecked SNE supply lines before leaving. Zaragoza is in SNE hands, but their force there is very little. It would be very unwise to move forward, now its time for them to reorganize and focus on the West in Portugal and Barcelona in the East. End Results: Caliphate losses: 83,409 dead, 160,000 injured, 360 M4 tanks lost. SNE losses: 94,650 dead, 170,000 injured, 26 Tiger tanks lost, 61 Panther tanks lost. Operational Victory: SNE, Strategic Victory: 80% SNE/20% Caliphate.
To secure their hold in the Mediterranean, the Caliphate had invaded and taken over a few Greek Islands in the Aegean Sea. With the help of Bulgaria, the also take Thrace over. The TBF certainly does have great fighters though, as their soldiers which call themselves "The Warriors of Thrace" are literally pains in the ass, taking way too long to take over and even stalemating fights to 12 hours which should have taken 2. The Caliphate has seriously underestimated the Greek army and has upped its military personnel in the region. Seriously, TBF fighters are respected a LOT. The only reason the Caliphate has done this is to create buffers between Constantinople and the enemy. The USSR is having hard luck, as they are taxed 110% the normal amount to move through Bhosphorous waters and are heavily watched and secured. The USSR isn't at war with the Caliphate, only the SEU is.
Invasion of Iberia Map: Red: Failure Black: Success Blue: Caliphate Predictions on SNE movements Barcelona is still being fought over, but as far as Naval power goes the Caliphate succeeds. Leon, Valladolid and Burgos, however, are a noticeable failure on the SNE side. More on that later. In the Atlantic sea Naval power stalemates. It's up to Fallout to make a decision. I suggest invading Portugal, invading Madrid is a bad idea and it would lead the SNE to lose unless they take over all of Iberia and then Madrid last.
SEU is aiding the Fascists with their industrial power. In SEU, the war is very popular because SEU's economy is stimulated, and the people are very pro-war, at least in the West. They love it. In any case, SEU has designed the Panther II, a drastically simplified version of the Panther made for SEU mass production. It has reduced capabilities, but it is actually better than the original SEU Panthers because it is more fit for SEU production. In any case, SEU will be able to create them in greater numbers; it shares most parts with the original Panthers. SEU is aiding the Fascists by supplying them with Food and Supplies.
The SNE now sets up a defensive position in the Iberian Peninsula. Ammo and everything is always getting depleted from the constant fighting. So, supply lines are being established and air support is protecting them Incase of destruction. Forts are set up in Zaragoza. Everything from tanks to planes are being stored there for now. The SNE thinks of mounted machine guns for their forts. The time it will take will take around half a year. But for now they will use old ones from WW1. All the troops that are left are staying there. Planes are now carrying Napalm bombs to drop on priority locations and cause destruction. This is an effective way to destroy many infantry troops, building and possibly supply lines. With help from the SEU all supplies are being produced faster which aids heavily.
The Caliphate finds the use of the SNE using Napalm interesting and figure out the advantages. The Caliphate already uses Napalm for their flamethrowers as a fuel, they are going to attempt to load them on aircraft to see how effective it really is. The M4A3E8 Saladin is nearly finished. It's an upgraded version of the M4 with a 76 mm high velocity main gun. This is a game changer, making it a formidable enemy to the Panther. It's cannon allows it to penetrate a Panther's frontal armour at farther distances with more accuracy, but there's always the obvious chance it can glance off.
The M10 Lion is also close to its finished production, being a glass cannon but also being able to literally destroy Tigers and Panther 1's & 2's from a far distance and in cover. The Caliphate sets up heavy positions and begins the construction of tunnels. [HEAVY CLASSIFIED UNDER ZETA CODE] The Caliphate has been setting up a rubberized fake army for months now, installing fake tanks and fake troops and vehicles/planes. They all sit in Algeria, facing Southern France and Northern Italy in the Mediterranean. The Caliphate has made themselves "accidently" spill knowledge on a planned attack in the South France coast. The SNE believes that they will be attacked by a massive forced of 500,000 men who will invade france and take it over, as most of the SNE is focusing in Iberia. The SNE has a slim chance, do they decide to risk it or not?
Serbia, Macedonia, and Bosnia have capitulated to USSR forces. However, a liberation movement that uses guerrilla warfare tactics has become active and VERY large, bwing disruptive to USSR and Italian armies. Greece clings on, but with no aid or support it is losing the war of attrition. They have begun one last counter-offensive against the Italian forces as a gamble. They will fight to their last man. The Caliphate decides to send assistance to the TBF, supplying them with ammo and supplies. The Caliphate doesn't want Italy or the USSR to succeed, so they'll help the TBF anyway. Minor air support is also given and 20 M4 tanks are supplied, aswell as artillery and mortars.
The Soviet Forces, under the impression that they are fighing a corruption of Marx's words, continue to attack. However, SEU withdraws most of their forces and constructs Client States out of Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia, keeping then Unified as the Socialist Balkan Federation. SEU knows better than to pick fights with angry locals.

The Caliph creates small and cheap radios and distributes them throughout the entire Caliphate, literally in every corner and in every place, everyone has a radio. It sends pro-Islam and Anti-Fascist and Anti-Socialist propaganda throughout the radio waves, and even plays comedies that are full on jabs to Asians and Europeans and various Middle Eastern music played by Sunayyad artists. The cheapness allows them to be used everywhere, making them highly successful and boosting the worker's associations. The Caliph signs a new Act called the Nature Lot Act. In terms of what it does, it allows the government to sell cheap and semi-arable land to buyers, land that has the potential for rich soil, running water, forestry and a natural oasis feel, something which is desired in the Sunayyad climate. But the land only has the potential, and it needs to be built into a nature hub, but the Caliphate cannot do it on their own, that's why they are selling these lands called Potential Lots of a few hundred acres very cheap, usually in the wilderness. What benefits the buyer is that in turn for their labour and their accomplishments in creating a nature haven in their lot, bringing in rich soil and sprouting fauna, they are given free housing, food, and resources, as well as a monthly payment by the government. This idea is considered great, not only will dry areas and deserts start to bloom, but the ones who are using their labour get money to do the work, housing, food, water and resources. The Caliphate hopes to make the entire Middle East a desirable place, of course, sand dunes cannot be replaced, but within 100 years the Sunayyad Caliphate will definitely be much green and have more FOOD.
SEU has discovered that the Federation's new steel is just special treatment steel, and the fact that STS is expensive should prohibit the Federation from using it on a massive scale.
In response to the Caliphate's mocking of Europeans and anti-Socialist propaganda, the Balkan Freedom Movement have set up operations in the occupied Greek islands. They distribute leaflets, claiming that the Caliphate wishes to keep control over the islands long after the fascist threat is gone, and convert the population to Islam in their pursuit of global domination. The Greek people are already very anti-Caliphate, due to their suffering under centuries of Muslim rule. The BFM recruits very quickly in these islands, and have launched several attacks on Caliphate ships and the docks, and civilians are now frequently attacking Caliphate soldiers and naval servicemen stationed in the area. The organisation also has operations within the puppet state of the Socialist Balkan Federation. They mock the USSR-imposed socialism as a bastardisation, and portray the USSR as imperialist filth, and a puppet state of the SEU. Despite the SEU's best efforts, the locals are angry.
The Caliphate doesn't want to deal with an uprising and assures them that they are only keeping them as buffer states and will immediately leave after the war. As is such, they have only docked ships in previous TBF naval ports on inhabitable islands. In Thrace however, they strengthen their checkpoints and grip, arresting those who placed Anti-Islamic propaganda in the cities, as well as invading the homes of those who were caught with rebel motives. The Caliph wishes not to resemble the Ottoman's mistake in Europe, they aren't going any farther. The Caliph has also joked in the Musafakhi Parliament, saying that TBF stands for The Byzantines that Failed
