The Federation is saddened by all the war but to protect themselves are building a new type of bomber, one that can go higher than the others we have research will take 2 years
To combat the strategic bombers of the SEU, a high cieling aircraft is being developed. It will be produced in 35 posts (more info lateR)
Out of the many combatants of World War 2, SEU has the single most comprehensive ration system. When SEU tried to create a ration for their soldiers, they ran into a huge roadblock: namely, Rice cannot be canned. Rice also happens to be the staple of a good 75% of SEU's population. So they came up with a solution: namely, sealing the rice in a type of plastic. Many other innovations were tried, discarded, or used for later. Standard Base Ration: Basically just cooking. Generic Chinese, Korean, Australian and Russian menus. Standard Field Kitchen Ration: Semi-prepared cooking; generic Chinese, Korean, Australian and Russian menus. Made for field soldiers. Field Meal Ration: Scientifically constructed rations for the field. Involves bags and tin cans, many meat and vegetable menus. Constructed to be Haram, so that Caliphate Soldiers cannot loot and eat the rations. In any case, what's inside that's not food is usually worth looting. Paratrooper-Striketrooper-Extreme-Intensive Ration (PSEI Ration): Lightweight, Durable, reasonbly tasty. While it cannot supply the needs of a Soldier indenfinitely, it can supply then fior a week or so. Can be air-sropped and survive it. The bottom 2 rations come with napkins, chewing Gum, plastic Spoon and Chopsticks/Fork, instructions, printed matches, instant tea, moist towelette and Water Purification Tablets. This is an extremely comprehensive ration kit, and a luxury; this has a lot of loot value. SEU Soldiers have high morale, and this is one of the reasons why. SEU's high industrial capacity combined with efficient use of the Ukrainian breadbasket has helped SEU get some well fed troops. In any case, SEU's rations system is combined with food rationing at home. Ironically, metal, electricity and non-food goods are as plentiful as ever and are not rationed. It seems that SEU's industry cannot help them with food.
The Caliphate is sending 8 Deniz Class Submarines into the Atlantic to defeat the SEU commerce raiders once and for all. Battle of Guinea port: Outcome: Caliphate: 1 Battleship sunk, 3 damaged 6 Destroyers sunk, 8 damaged 2 Heavy Cruisers sunk, 5 damaged 1 Fleet Carrier damaged, 3 escort carriers damaged, 1 escort carrier sunk SEU: 1 Battleship sunk, 2 damaged 7 Destroyers sunk, 6 damaged 3 Heavy Cruisers sunk, 4 damaged 2 Fleet Carrier damaged, Battle: The Caliphate sent in a massive fleet to destroy the Guinea base. The SEU had detected them on Radar and so they quickened themselves to defensive positions, although their time wasn't as hasteful as they wanted, but they still had time and were better defended than if they weren't aware. What really kicked them in the gut was the fact that they had a commerce raiding mission active, leaving the port relatively less defended. The Yi-Sun Shin (I think that's the name) was relatively vacant in port, receiving a cleaning and maintenance. From the skies, the A-40 and B-17 diced up the port, although a lot of their force was shot down by the AA guns, they caught the docked Yi-Sun Shin off guard and damaged it, delaying its response. The AI-2 met with it's SEU fighting aircraft predecessor, both seemed to be equal, although the AI-2 had the upper hand as they outnumbered the SEU 3 aircraft to 1. In the sea, Caliphate Battleships, Cruisers and Destroyers duelled with their counterparts. They fought very long, and very hard, eventually the SEU won due to the fact that they had land defences and cannons, but the damage the Caliphate left was a defeat to the SEU in their own right. The Caliphate lost more ships in the end and retreated, but their damage on the port drops the quality of SEU commerce raiding significantly. On land, through amphibious assault ships, the Masif Corp, also counting as amphibious and marine operators, invaded the SEU stronghold. They were outnumbered, but eventually with their force of 2,000 men took 5,000 SEU defenders with them, leaving 650 Caliph Soldiers dead, 1,000 injured 1,235 SEU soldiers dead (also accouting to air attacks and ship attacks), 2,750 injured The Flamethrower was deemed very effective by the Caliphate, although many operators were targeted and died, they took down more than 3 bunkers and many pillboxes, gaining a massive advantage. Some SEU soldiers fought back and were killed in the process, but many surrendered. The Masif corp were eventually forced to retreat after reinforcements came, but they took and destroyed key defensive areas, lit many important storage areas on fire and left a devastating impact. In the sea, the Commerce Raiding party on a commerce ship was a success though, and in their own right, the SEU sunk 1 Cruiser and 2 destroyers including a valuable commerce ship, leaving with little damage and a huge victory, but when they returned their port was in chaos and death. Conclusion: Militarily, SEU devoided the Caliphate from a win and a takeover, but the damages to the port area were a win in the Caliphate's right.
SEU has responded with this with mandatory Destroyer escorts to commerce raiders. They will be able to fight off enemy submarines, and to protect the commerce raiders. In any case, SEU is stationing Zheng He to further commerce raiding, along with an escort carrier and a heavy cruiser.
Zheng He was caught by a Euphrates-Class Battleship, and a light and heavy cruiser; however the SEU Battleship decided to stand and fight. The Light Carrier had Reconnaissance, but had detected the enemy too late. It fled and would rendezvous later. In an indecisive engagement, the better armed and faster SEU Battleship and Heavy Cruiser opened fire at a long distance and managed to convincingly play the part of a much stronger Java-Class Battleship escorted by Heavy Cruiser. Now, fighting against a much superior enemy with no real advantages isn't smart. It is foolhardy. The Caliphate Captain could only see a large Battleship on his Radar, and acted accordingly, which was actually pretty smart and booked it, using his "superior speed". The SEU Battleship chased it off after several minutes of engagements, sparing both sides blood. The SEU Battleship continues to hunt a convoy, escorted by a Negal-Class Battlecruiser.
The Federation has started research on a new type of AA gun to help it's ships fight off aircraft more efficiently
Social Classes under Musawaism: The CaliphRuler over an Islamic Caliphate, most likely a descendant of Muhammed or his tribes, a religious and federal leader. The RighteousProphets, Islamic Clergy, Imam Khatib, Religious leaders. The HonourableMilitary personnel and ones who sacrifice themselves to the Caliphate. The People of AllahEveryone, from farmers to craftsmen, to business people to scientists and politicians and even monarchs. KafirNon-muslims, can be anyone. There isn't much of a social gap persay, there is no lower or middle class, social rankings are ranked on the Quran. Everyone is basically equal, its just that religious leaders and religious teachers are set a bit higher due to the fact that their mission in life is very important and they are believed to be appointed by God. This gap erases tensions between rich and poor, because there isn't a class based on wealth. The only problem is the growing distance between the Kafir and Muslims, although Muslims in the Caliphate are taught to never look down on anyone and to spread the good will of Allah. The Honourable have a bit more respect than most, as they have set their lives for sacrifice for others.
Myeongyang, potentially the strongest Battleship in the World, moved to sortie position. She was accompanied by 2 Fleet Carriers; these fleet Carriers sortied with her to give her valuable air cover, and she moved northwards from Guinea Naval Base. However, the Caliphate was aware of just how dangerous that unit was, and moved to intercept with 2 Battleships and 2 Fleet Carriers. The SEU Battleship had no idea they were coming, but she found out after a report by Scout Planes. As the distance between the opponents decreased, it was realized that this would be a Big-Gun Battle; both the Socialist and Caliphate Carriers would likely expend their planes on the Battleships and each other, and would have none left over to fight whatever was left. The Carriers broke off, to rendezvous later. However, they would later be badly damaged because they met each other and forced to break off to port. Myeongyang opened fire at extreme range, 34 kilometers. She had been equipped with the older 1,500kg 18-inch shells, but regardless of it she had an effective firing control system, superior to that of the Caliphate. The first salvo does nothing due to the sheer distances, and the Caliphate fails to even realize the enemy is there. The second salvo is much closer, and 8 18-inch shells land close to... something. It was at this point that the Socialists realized who they were fighting; a Ninurta-Class Battleship and Nergal-Class Battlecruiser. The Ninurta posed a great threat, as she had 18-inch guns while the Nergal's 15-inch guns did not pose much of a threat to the warship. Rear Admiral Liu immediately ordered the Myeongyang target the Nergal-Class Battlecruiser. It is of note that he has a track record similar to Grigory Kulik in tactical matters, and only managed to not be fired by being a brilliant strategist. However, Liu immediately changed his mind upon seeing that the Ninurta-Class Battleship had opened fire and was closing fast. He ordered the Myeongyang target the lead ship, and fired a full broadside. This time, it delivered results. 1 18-inch shell crashed into Ninurta's bow, reducing her speed and letting in a good 3,000 tons of seawater. The 15-inch guns of the Nergal-Class had been firing away, but the Myeongyang had too much in the way of Heavy Armor; any shells that did hit contacted the heavily armored Citadel, effectively useless. She landed 2 hits, but both hit the armor belt and did effectively nothing. The 18-inch guns of Ninurta-Class finally fired, but it failed to hit. The first salvo was horribly off target and the second broadside did nearly hit (and would have), but an 18-inch hit that had been previously mentioned disrupted her aim. The Myeongyang fired full broadside again, and as the distance between the opponents decreased, Liu realized his ship was in the danger of being hit and ordered a move to longer ranges, and to load Ultracharges. This was a bad tactical move, because they tended to wear out the barrel rather quickly. However, the distance had decreased. Myeongyang, just then, fired a salvo. It was loaded with Ultracharges. It tore through the Ninurta-Class Battleship, detonating an internal magazine. She was crippled, and a chain of explosions sealed her fate. Liu ordered a full retreat. The inexperienced crewmen had missed many salvos. It showed she was not invincible.
The mighty Socialist Battleship. As she steamed North to the United States, and safety. Yet she was constantly hounded by Caliphate Carriers. Planes attacked her and were shot down, endlessly. The Caliphate lost dozens of Pilots, bomber crews. Yet they are as relentless as the Hurricane. Yes, a hurricane. Fleet Carriers hounded her; they ran out of bombers. More and more ships attacked the Steel behemoth. Her defenses were whittled down, bit by bit. Halfway through her journey, she had lost 4 of her 127mm 55-Caliber guns, and many of her 40mm guns were rendered inoperable. But she was not sunk so esaily. Despite the fact that her AA defenses were wearing out, no Caliphate Bomber could even approach her; the 127mm dual-purpose battaries had done their jobs well; not a single torpedo had impacted her. But that was about to change. The formidable 127mm Battaries were running out of ammo. The ship was losing her AA capabilities. They had shot down so many planes that they were now weakened. Their barrels had lowered accuracy. Rear Admiral Liu failed to order 127mm shell conservation, a fatal error. This was just the next in a long range of incompetencies that would doom the ship. He was a good strategist and if he were at the base then he would have likely led the task force to glorious victory, but he did not belong at the sea. He belonged at the charts in a bunker. He failed to understand matters of tactical matters, he did not understand operations. He understood grand strategy, not the now. This would doom him. However, smart strategist he was, he made a decision to flee to the US, but to shake off their growing number of persuers by sailing temporarily into SNE Waters. This was a very good idea, because despite his ship being the mightiest Battleship, as of now there were 2 first-rate Battleships, 3 Heavy Cruisers, 3 Fleet Carriers and 1 second-rate Battlecruiser following him. To engage that many ships would have been madness, and even the incompetent tactician that Liu was understood that. She would leave them in the dust, as they tried to fight off SNE forces and the SEU Battleship made a break for it. The SNE did not realize just what on earth was taking place. They had no idea what the chase was, and when they spotted multiple Capital ships they assumed that it was an attack by an unknown force and sent 2 Battleships and a Fleet Carrier. Now, they were good Battleships. As the faster SNE Battleships approached the Sunayyad Force, the more advanced Sunayyad Radar found them first. The Aircraft Carriers launched their planes, but this was unlucky for the Caliphate. The Planes attacked the wrong ship. Their own. The Caliphate had had a Battlecruiser scout out. Unfortunately, this meant she was in the direction of the enemy, and was about as fast as the enemy Battleships. Her gun layout did not help, they were in 4 2-gun turrets just like the enemy. As the Sunayyad Battlecruiser and fighters duked it out (the Battlecruiser though they were enemy planes from the SNE force) this tied up many planes and allowed the SNE Battleships to close the distance as the SNE Planes kept the remaining Sunayyad Aircraft busy. This was disastrous for the Caliphate; the Battleships fired and managed to land hit after hit on a Fleet Carrier. 18-inch shells landed and sank the Fleet Carrier, but the Battleships had no idea. The Fleet Carriers were too busy trying to recall their planes and untangle the mess, and the communications equipment was damaged for the Carrier that was attacked. A classic Gun Battle began, and it ended as about as well as one would expect. Both sides pounded each other to scrap, but the faster SNE ships with lighter shells and faster velocities managed to dictate the Battle range and slowly pounded the Sunayyad Battleships. Their excellent optics did not help matters for the Caliphate. The SNE was outgunned, but they were better at firing and that more or less evened out the difference. And then the Fleet Carriers finally got their stuff together and launched many planes to the SNE Battleships; one of the last SNE shells had managed to destroy another Battleship. They booked it, but they still sustained damage, and eventually an uncontrolled fire on a Battleship slowly sank it.
Outcome: Symbolic Socialist Battleship Sunk. 3 Caliphate Battleships sunk, 1 Caliphate Battleship damaged, 1 Caliphate Fleet Carrier sunk. 1 SNE Battleship damaged. 1 SNE Battleship Sunk. 100+ Caliphate Planes shot down. Tactical Caliphate Victory (sunk the most powerful Battleship in the world and dealt a major morale blow to the SEU), Operational SEU Victory (Myeongyang took down so many Caliphate assets with her, it's hard to cut it in any way that makes this a Caliphate Operational Victory), Strategic Draw (In the end, it matters little. Overall, SEU still has enough force to challenge the Caliphate in the Atlantic. The situation has not changed.). As the mighty Socialist Battleship steamed on, she started to become more and more fatigued. Her crew was tired. She was slowly, but inevitably dying. She had been refueled, and was refueled by US tankers in a risky operation. But she was running out of food, casualties were mounting, and medicine ran out. As Caliphate bomber crews harassed her, her 40mm AA guns were also starting to run low. A particularly lucky bomber crew managed to damage the propulsion. The Socialists managed to repair it, but the cruising speed was down to 18 knots lest she run out of fuel. Her size became her undoing. The 18-inch gun barrels were becoming strained. Her engine rooms had sustained extensive damage; the enemy was catching up, and there was no way they would make it to the US on time. The machinery was tired, and the performance of every little thing was dropping. Sooner or later, she would run out of AA defensive shells and be torpedoed to death. And for the first time in his life, Liu gave a sensible order tactically. The Myeongyang would stand. She would fight. It made sense; her crew, her everything was in bad shape and continuing the chase would only prolong the end. They were catching up. None of the Caliphate officers anticipated that Myeongyang would fight. Indeed, they were caught completely off guard when the Myeongyang came at them from behind. She made full speed, still at 30 knots. Fuel was no longer a concern; this was a suicide mission. Her 12 18-inch guns roared in shot after shot. She pounded one of the 2 Battleships. The Carriers and the Battleships tried to communicate, but poorly transmitted orders meant that help would not come. She took hit after hit, yet she stayed afloat. This was because SEU damage control, as well as SEU compartmentalization was that good. They had to penetrate compartment after compartment, and the damage control ran around, keeping the ship fighting, not sinking. By the time the Carriers had gotten their crap together, 1 of the Battleships were sunk. But the Socialist Battleship was in very bad shape. 1 of her turrets were blown up. The bow was riddled with holes. And she charged. 21 torpedoes. She took 21 torpedoes, and yet continued to fire. She threaded tinfish, her excellent antitorpedo defenses doing their job. But Liu knew all too well, his ship was doomed. He ordered the crew to abandon ship. The fire raging aboard 1 of the Carriers would finish it off, but any more fighting was useless. The 127mm guns were out of ammo. The 40mm crews were dead. He stayed on as it went down. 91% of the crew survived.
The Caliphate has begun producing 4 more battleships, 8 more cruisers, and one more fleet carrier. Due to the amount they are loosing, they need to keep producing. They will be finished within 45 posts. (I hope this is an accurate number, if not, and its too fast or unrealistic let me know)
BTW, this is worthy of a speech by the Caliph himself. It goes to show how SEU is not invincible, and how with enough effort even the mightiest can be brought down. In addition, sinking the second-strongest Battleship ever is no joke. Use it.
The Federation has started research on a new type of bullet for their ship guns that have a better penetration and exsplosion, will be finished in 1 year
SEU has ordered the construction of another Java-Class Battleship and another Fleet Carrier to counter this Caliphate building program. In any case, SEU spins the defeat as a noble last stand, and how the Myeongyang took down more than she was worth, which is true. Another 4 Heavy Cruiser Units are being built.
The Caliph arrives by the International Sunayyad Railway toConstantinople. He arrives with carts of presents for the poor and the orphanages. The fact that he could barely get out of hisrailway car due to the number of people flockinghis train notes his popularity. He stands on a podium near at the Sultan Ahmed Mosqueand gives his speech. Dear friends and family, my acquaintances and my followers, honourable followers of Allah, and the Muslim Brotherhood, and all of the inhabitants of the Sunayyad Caliphate, this year marks a great year, a year which closes in on the year of Eazima, the golden age, the age where our heritage is reborn and brought to the light of the world. This week marks another terrible week in our world, a week in which the world fights. The infidels of this world, Fascists, Eastern and European Socialists, all enemies of Islam who sought to destroy all that we have accomplished, have indeed met the fate of Jihadism and have fallen ill. The SEU, a nation respectable on a military level, but also a military which has cursed us, has met the curse, as their prized ship, a glorious one, in fact, the Myeongnyang has rested at the bottom of the ocean and becomes a house for the fishes, the only thing it will ever be good for. It was sunk by the might of courageous men of Allah, the naval captains of the sea. With our strength, our strong minds, our unity and our bravery, we will win the war. Speak against your enemies, kill all who take the stance to take down the legion of the Caliphate. The biggest mistake of the SEU is their addiction to their objects, they glorify their ships, but don't realize that glorifying the realm above ours is more important. They don't realize their massive contraptions of might will soon become rust and corrosion of the world, but our fight will soon become a treasure in Heaven. Go out, enjoy your fruitful harvests, invest time in your trade, fellowship with your neighbours and your family and friends, but also work, work very hard for the work on earth is a representation of your fruits in Aljana. Work in the factories, produce as much as you can give, work your best and you will be rewarded, fight for the good cause, fight for Salaam. Amiyn my dear friends, may your fight be exalted and may the enemies crumble like their already weak minds. -The First Sunayyad Caliph What then commences is a boost in production and industry and a massive propaganda poster placement.
SEU's strategic Bombing Campaign is delivering results. SEU has rendered the Caliphate goal of building 4 new Battleships completely infeasible by repeatedly bombing shipyards and damaging slipways and docks, as well as bombarding crucial Italian Military assets. Italy can't hold, they need SNE backup. But SNE never comes.
The AI-4 is closing its development, a high ceiling fighter aircraft able to destroy SEU strategic bombers and also reach incredible speeds due to its jet engines. The Caliphate responds to the SEU's bombing attempts by using their own high-ceiling strategic bomber the B-17 to bomb Black Sea Russian and Ukranian factories. This has decreased the SEU's naval production in the Black Sea to where they are pretty much outnumbered.
SEU's finest Shipyard, Busan Shipyard (2 105,000 docks, 8 70,000 docks, countless smaller docks) has been ordered to expand their shipbuilding acitivies. It is so far away from any enemy that destroying it is impossible, and while that makes its own issues, SEU has so many Oil tankers for a very good reason. SEU is concerned that the Caliphate has Jet engines and begins development on their own Jet Fighters, and perhaps even a Jet Bomber. It will take longer, but SEU is diverting funds from Radar to fund this so they'll catch up.
The Federation has started pushing massive funds into researching with the info brought back by our spies we are getting much closer to a adequate radar for our ships finished in 10 posts
