I was mistaken, it seems. It's convention to name things in the year they were developed for the Soviets, I didn't expect it to be ready 3 years later. But I'm still designing an MBT, just a clunky prototype.
The Army however is... not in a good state. It is too small to defend its own homeland, and its budget has been increasingly siphoned by Capital Ships, regular ships, and the damn Air Force. SEU is vulnerable to a large-scale invasion at this point, because there are too few people. While their Army is well-equipped, this means nothing when you have too few people to work with. Each man lost is a devastating blow, a massive problem. In addition, despite them being well-supplied, they are shrinking each year as SEU neglects conscription in favor of Big Ships and Big Guns. SEU is growing more and more vulnerable to a large-scale land invasion. This will prove... problematic.
The Caliphate has raised a force of 250,000 to Invade and take over Palestine, Trans-Jordan and Lebanon. These three nations have been looming around as Post-Ottoman Canaan states and now they must be taken. The Caliph orders his men to march into the region and seize each of their capitals, especially Jerusalem. These soldiers orders are to avoid civilian casualties at all cost and to avoid a full-scale war, only fire when fired upon. Beforehand, these 3 countries were given the warning to surrender at once or unwanted bloodshed will occur. The caliph is annexing these nations and pursuing to strengthen the economy and boost their own resource trade. Most important is Jerusalem, the capital of Christians, Jews and Muslims, although Jews have had it longer, it is an important place for Islam, thus, the entire city along with their worshippers will be untouched so it may be preserved. They will be invaded in every direction including Sea, and they will be apart of the Sunayyad Empire in 5 posts.
Amphibious Invasions are SEU's forte, and they know how to do it (wink wink Japan) as well as how to fight fanatical opponents. Unfortunately, they are weak on (land) defense against their enemies due to the shrinking Army. In the Sea, they are unstoppable by anyone, there are very few that can rival them in the small scale. If they really wanted to, they could steamroll anyone. In the Air, they are a force to be reckoned with.
The Socialist Eurasian Union is trying (and failing) to improve relations with India. India is currently deliberately trying to undermine the Caliphate, and SEU wants them weakened too. However, the Socialists have been split into 2 factions and are not cooperating with each other well. Indeed, India and SEU could complement each other well but are constantly infighting with itself and is achieving nothing productive. The Capital Ships SEU are building are being put to use as force projection tools. They are constantly being deployed to gain experience. They are also building another 2 Fleet Carriers. SEU has made it a goal to create a large standing Navy, while India has made it a goal to make a large standing Army.
Mandatory Service has boosted the Caliphate's military from 1.250 million to 1,500,000. 250,000 Active Personnel, and 1,250,000 reserves. The Caliphate's army is one of the most well trained, professional and adaptable armies on the planet.
Look, if your Army's Japan-level fanatical, it's going to be inflexible. Fanaticism requires discipline to maintain to hell with Allah (Japan also had their own religion and they needed to maintain their madness by force), and discipline results in inflexibility. You can't have it all. You can have a disciplined army, you can have a brave army, you can have a flexible army, and you can have a sensible army. You can take 2. You can't have all four. 2 of these contradict the other two 2, and training and size are different variables altogether.
SEU is completely reconstructing all of their Capital ships (Fleet Carriers, Battleships) with Special Treatment Steel, as well as improving speed as well as fuel efficiency, as well as enlarging of the fuel tanks. The Heavy Cannons (if they exist) will be supplied with a new type of Superheavy shells which will improve armor piercing. Because this is a massive reconstruction effort, it will be done in waves. First wave: 1 Yi Sun-Shin, 6 Javas, 1 Revolution, 9 fleet carriers. 3 years. Second wave: Identical. The Zheng Hes will be done seperately. 3 years.
The Muslim Genocide in Italy has gone on for far too long, over 10,000 followers of Islam have been tortured and killed, and their mosques burnt down. This is not from a Christian offensive, but a Fascist one, it is clear Fascism is incredibly anti-religious. Since the Genocides, over 80% of Italy's Muslim population has fled, 60% of that is in the Sunayyad Empire while the rest fled to the rest of Europe and North Africa, not knowing of Europe's Fascist potential. The Caliphate has declared war on the Fascist State of Italy, Italy will not be annexed, but 4 Hurayn Aircraft Carriers, 4 Euphrates Battleships and 2 Nergal Battlecruisers along with minor vessels will flock Italy and destroy them. A force of 450,000 Caliphate troops will enter the region, liberate the Muslim population and burn Italy to the ground. Results in 5 posts.
The SNE is starting to come out of depression. With that the morale and economy is increasing. The rate of which military products are being made increased by 40%. (Insert Generic Leader name here) starts to punish people who speak bad about facsim. They are sentenced to prison, eviction or death. The SNE does not take to kindly to anyone against the government. The military is now upped to close to 700,000. The borders of all countries have troops around them and the coasts have ships baracading them. OOC: Sorry for me taking so long for updates, for some reason I wasn't getting alerts for this thread.
The Federation has finished it's new ships and is now working on it's population by building more houses and grocery stores and malls
Unsuprisingly, other Fascist states have come to Italy's Aid. The French, Austrians, Belgians, Portuguese and Danish have pledged to aid Italy should they stop the ethnic cleansing of Muslims. The Italians, being sensible have done so. They have created a united front to defeat the Caliphate Army, and the Regia Marina and the Marine Nationale have both deployed Battleships to fight the Caliphate. The Battleships are nearly evenly matched, sometimes the Caliphate wins.
When India demanded that SEU doesn't help the Caliphate too much against the Fascists, SEU really didn't want to follow through with the deal anyway. So SEU promises to deploy 2 Heavy Cruisers and 5 Large Destroyers and no boots on the ground, which outclass much of the Regia Marina, will aid the Caliphate. India made them (and SEU wouldn't have anyway) not deploy Capital Ships, which is a shame because the Caliphate's Battleships are equaled by the Regia Marina and French Battleships, but SEU's Battleships outclass them all. 1/2 of SEU's Capital Ships are currently being completely rebuilt, which leaves them vulnerable for a short time. SEU has finished its research on new types of Special Treatment Steel. As such, it has shared the formula with the United Baltic Republic. This will allow them to relatively cheaply to greatly improve protection on their Ships. SEU is starting the 5-year reconstruction project to remake its Navy.

The Euphrates Class: Battle Ship 44,000 long tons of displacement 31 knots of speed 4 x 2 Turk 15 Inch guns 12 x 1 Turk 5.5 Inch guns 4 x 1 Turk 4 Inch Anti-Aircraft guns 6 x 21-Inch Torpedo Tubes The Euphrates Class is an excellent ship, somewhat well armoured and quite fast with an amazing selection of reliable guns. Nergal Class Battle Cruiser 15-inch variant: 46,851 tons displacement full load 9 15-inch guns in 3 triple turrets 32 knots full speed A powerful option, it has it all. Firepower, speed, economy. Its only shortcoming is armor, and even then it is not that bad at it. Its armament is only slightly light. It has heavy Antiaircraft Armament as well as its other components, a good design if there ever was one.
The attack on Italy from the Caliphate was short but caused considerable amounts of damage, it was cut short due to the Fascist State of Italy declaring their end of the Muslim Genocide. They also signed a deal stating that the Caliphate gains full control of Sicily and that the Muslim population will be protected. Before Italy called for this peace deal, the Caliphate bombed 4 of Italy's most valuable ports, through the air and from the sea. A total of only 32,000 Caliphate troops stepped foot on land, capturing Italian ports and coastal towns and villages. Only 20 Italian and Caliphate soldiers died. The damage was quite bad though, as now Italy's majority of harbours are either rendered useless for two years or heavily damaged. This attack was very small according to the Caliphate, the Caliphate admitted they were going to seize Rome and personally kill the entire Fascist Party with swords. Luckily for them, that didn't happen, and now the Caliphate has more control on Sunayyad run factories in Italy and full control of Sicily.
The other European Fascists have offered to buy back the factories from the Caliphate. It seems they are acting more and more as a unified nation rather than many disparate nations. Italy is recovering fast, and this time they are building up an Air Force and Army so that they can defend themselves against further Sunayyad attack. When Italy is attacked again, they will not fall so easily. With them working together, Italy which was a third-rate nation is quickly rising. The Fascists can no longer be ignored or beaten down easily. SEU is well aware of this and is trying (and failing) to improve relations with India. (OOC: When WW2 Breaks out, no one should develop the atomic bomb until the war ends. Too much of a game-breaker.) The other Fascists are offering cooperation with the SNE to take back what is theirs. As SNE is the most powerful nation in the European Fascists by far, they have opted to wait on the creation of a Fascist European Alliance until they can actually work together with the SNE. They are also less intense about anti-Muslim discrimination, and are actually discriminating against Asians more.OOC to Fallout: You have 8 Modern Battleships with 15-inch guns, 10 older Battleships with 15-inch guns, and you could build 2 Battleships with 16-inch guns. Would you like to upgrade your fleet? Right now you're sort of outgunned and you could use 16-inchers, or you could make 4 Battleships with 10 14-inchers. Or both. Or none. It's up to you, but war is on the horizon.OOC to Otus: Can your "stupid sultan" substantially worsen relations with the Socialists? If Sunayyad and Socialists gang up on the Fascists, it's not even going to be a contest, and I have no idea how to worsen relations with Sunayyad beyond India whining.
SEU's Battleships are currently undergoing modernization and modification to improve its fire control. New models of Firing Control Computers are being installed in the reconstruction. In addition, recon planes are being placed. The Aircraft Carriers are being worked on to improve armor and damage control. Meanwhile, SEU is constantly harassing Japan's trade.
