Miscellaneous offenses shall be judged upon the capacity for destruction and malice. STANDARD PROTOCOL: Personnel are mandated to report any problems they see. Personnel are mandated to request funding and additional personnel when needed. The punishment for denying funds or necessary support to Nuclear Power Plant personnel, when the personnel truly require it is death. Cutting corners in any way is forbidden on the pain of execution by hanging. Personnel are mandated to try their best. Personnel are mandated to take necessary breaks, eat and use the facilities to maintain peak performance. Any supervisors found denying them necessary breaks will be fired and given a life sentence in prison. Any employees who abuse these systems will be jailed for 5 years, including supervisors. Personnel are mandated not to take unnecessary risks. Personnel are mandated to report impossible or otherwise risky deadlines. Any personnel found repeatedly setting impossible or otherwise risky deadlines will be fired and jailed for 3 years. Any personnel attempting to meet impossible or otherwise risky deadlines through the use of risk will be fired and jailed for 18 months. CONCLUSION The dangers of radiation are quite clear. After the nuclear accident in Timmins, over 3,000 people out of a 29,000 population have been evacuated in the course of 3 days, which officials say could reach to 10,000 evacuees within the next week. TUN urges residents to evacuate the city immediately, although many residents refuse, saying that the claims of the radiation reaching them is a bunch of lies and propaganda by the government to rid them of their homes. Many religious folk claim that God will protect them, although they are dead wrong. Numbers in radiation sickness numbers have increased, and 800 cases has been made in the course of a few days, which many medical experts say could reach to 4 digit numbers within less than a week. So far, only 3 deaths have been linked to the initial explosion, although over 2 firemen have died so far from extreme radiation exposure prior to the blast, while 13 remain in a critical state. So far, only 1 resident has died due to the high radiation levels, although many non-believers put the information off as false, believing that they already suffered with serious medical conditions. TUN and UKNS hazmat teams have gone into the area of the reactor to examine the results of the explosion and figure out ways to stop the high radiation exposure. So far, the Timmins hospital is completely full of patients, most of which are suffering insane radiation sickness. There is barely any space for these patients, and doctors are moving patients in immediate care to smaller ICU containment centers near the edges of Timmins. Due to the high radiation levels rising, the hospital could very well soon be a death bed for everyone, as doctors and nurses are experiencing the sickness. Some patients have gone to nearby city Matheson for treatment, although their hospital is small and slowly filling up.
The Empire is doing this to keep its citizens safe. They must be protected from the Radiation. Nuclear power plant workers cannot be allowed to screw up. If they do, then the Empire as a whole will suffer. And if we have to resort to a little bit of torture to get the point across...? That they are tasked with protecting tens of thousands of lives and future generations? That little children depend on them? That people will die they fail? So be it. We're at work saving lives here. Meanwhile, at home in Ottawa, people who have received the news of the explosion are furious. They want an end to the dangers of the nuclear reactors, and many who live by them themselves are protesting at the factories gates, demanding they be shut down. It's totally chaotic, the media is torn between two sides, one which supports the government and calls the accident insanely rare and not the fault of the government, and the other side blaming the president and all in charge of the power plant. This calls for a brand new election, and it's starting to be full in swing. The second election ever on United North soil since WW2 will being in 10 posts, and the votes will be in to see who the next President will be. Just to be clear, an election was previously anticipated to come up, but after the major accident at Timmins, it has been announced earlier than usual, and a campaign to fight to hold the title of Presidency is in many parties minds. As of now, the Conservative government is in power.
The Empire is secretly wishing for a party change. The Imperial government has been exchanged several times now, but in 1962 there will be a full general election, where the President, Congress and Supreme Court justices are all exchanged. This is gonna be a sea change for Imperial policy, as former Soviet candidates promise to effectively defend the home front.
The Empire is a pretty nice place to live, if a little less affluent than other nations. Homelessness is virtually nonexistent. People get pretty good healthcare at a decent price. No one starves, for as long as they try to work. Of course, this is for the big-to medium cities. The smaller ones are a little less good. Just a little less, though. The towns? The bigger ones are better than big-city life. The more run-down ones are hives of drugs. That's why the Empire is launching a campaign to counter them. The lend prosperiy program lends farm equipment to poorer farmers. Therefore, they are allowed to create high-quality foods. The Empire also places tariffs on cross-regional foods. If you want to ship something across Korea to India, then you pay up.
An additional 1,000 residents have evacuated Timmins. These numbers were expected to rise, but many residents are ignorant and stay in their homes, this is spiking radiation sickness cases up from 800 to nearly 1100... Hazmat teams have discovered that all wildlife in the vicinity of the blast is completely destroyed. Trees have lost their leaves, and what is left is grey chemical residue on the leaves, giving them a grey tinge.
The Empire will not stand by and watch this catastrophe.NO. The Empire has exceeded its GAD pledges and sent HMKX hazmat teams. Their mission: drag as many defiant TUN residents out of their homes as possible. They will arrive in 1 post. They are armed. TUN, can the Imperial hazmat teams take in weapons? I think the Empire would need it to kick them out of their homes. Just rifles, no tanks or anything like that. The Imperial hazmat suits, good as they are will not protect them forever. The Empire's obsession with Nuclear safety led to the suits being so good. Their families will receive monthly compensation in the event of death, and they will receive radiation sickness treatment. The Empire estimates a 28% death rate in 30 days, and a 47% death rate in 5 years. This will probably be worse for TUN hazmat teams. This was not an order. They came, of their own volition. Imperial state media and independent media outlets are live at the scene to report. The Imperial outlets have wildly varying views, with state media painting it as a failure of TUN governing, and a great tragedy.
We definitely do not give any consent to your hazmat teams coming to Timmins. We do not want YOU dragging OUR citizens out of their homes. You can not bring any weapons, and you can not come onto our soil. Your reporters can stay though.
