After long waiting, and insane backlash in the media, TUN Council announces that their secret project to change TUN to a Democratic nation is finally complete. The new government will be a Representative Democracy, and the Parliament of Canada will now be filled with Members of Parliament, along with new Senators. This new shift in Government will take quite some time to perfect, although politicians and government officials will be picked from previous Canadian and U.S states and cities. Government officials prior to WW2 will be put back into office. Citizens will expect to vote for their own parties and presidential leaders which reside with their ideals and logic. The country has also decided to sway to an Electoral College, although transformation of Government will be very tricky and take some time. Ottawa remains a Government Capitial of Canada. Provincial and Municipal Governments are now favoured and will be in much greater affect now.

India is still India, just under a new name. 8. The Empire will actively defend and fight for India in times of conflict, equally with all other territories. 9. The Imperial governemnt shall not discriminate between India or any other Imperial regions. 10. Hold on a moment there, Sydney. Did you research when ICBM tech first happened? It's gotta be 2 years before the actual date. The Empire's put in 2 years and a lot of money into Ballistic missile tech, and ICBM tech still hasn't happened.
Letter from HMKX President to the Prime Minister of the UKNS. Let us have India. The Empire will stop threatening the UKNS. If the world spirals into war, then what do we leave our successors? TUN has successfully tested their first Hydrogen Bomb on Enewetak, an atoll in the Pacific Ocean. The test was a huge success, and shows the might and technological advances TUN has in our world. TUN hopes to never have to use this technology in war, as they know it's destruction capability, although TUN can not be seen under the rug as a weak force. TUN also starts a major project to produce the mega B-52 Stratofortress, a huge bomber aircraft which will hold these Hydrogen bombs and other loads. The B-52 is expected to be finished and produced in great numbers next page.
The Empire has held off on Nuclear testing until UKNS and HMKX can reach a deal over this mess. However, the weapon has been expected to produce a yield of 85 Kilotons, and be mountable on a MRBM or ICBM, which are being built. The Imperial Nuclear arsenal is at 50 weapons, but could easily be expanded to over 300 with a lot of work 700. The weapon the Empire is currently trying to minaturize is a 1-megaton yield weapon. Of course, the Empire is failing at this. By stealing Trelet secrets, the Empire has produced ICBM blueprints and exponentially improved them. The Empire is confused how Trelet has even obtained ICBM weaponry at this stage in time. The Empire's best have been working for 2 years, and Trelet somehow obtains them in less than a month? And Trelet's budget is smaller! Oh well. A 3,500 Kilometer ICBM has been procured. This ICBM is highly accurate, a must in warfare. This weapon has been named "Arrow of Artemis" This is currently in development. They have also obtained the best donut recipes on the planet. mmm, those are good.

The Empire has once again begun work on a fighter. The E-2, a next-generation fighter. While only drafts exist now, the Empire wants to be at the forefront of EVERYTHING. The VN-1, a bomber variant designed to carry heavy bombs is being designed. Advanced MiG-17 tech is going into the designs, as well as a great deal of E-1 tech. The Empire will not carry Nuclear bombs with planes. It is far too much of a risk to carry them with planes, where they could be shot down. No. Missiles only. What's... that? A famine? Oh great. Let's stop all these military problems and focus on home. UKNS, Also, your aircraft carriers are no match for our shiny new Fensuo ships. Bear this in mind. The donuts are catching on in Italy and Sicily. Besides the agreements previously in place, Swissilia is avoiding any diplomatic relations, as the atmosphere seems tense (in Dutch, the word I was going to use means 'electrically charged'. However, that seems to not be an expression in English, surprisingly).
At a negotiation meeting between the UKNS and the HKMX, the UKNS Prime Minister has suggested the following terms: A pro-HMKX but closer to the UKS's ideals leader (essentially a socialist dictator who will never fully abolish the capitalist system) will be installed by force with the support of the 9 million UKNS troops stationed in the Indian Ocean. If more are needed, an additional 8 million troops will be sent. After the invasion is complete, India will remain an independent country. However, they will be bound by treaty to provide the HMKX with much cheaper goods, and unequivocally support the HMKX in a military alliance. There will be free movement of HMKX citizens between the HMKX and India, although the UKNS is willing to change this to allow both Indians and HMKX citizens to move freely. The UKNS will receive cheaper imported goods from India also, but nowhere the near the rate the HKMX will get them. India will, pretty much, be a borderless (for the HKMX) HKMX satellite state, but this will be tempered by being friendly to the UKNS also. We await the HMKX response.
The Empire does not want a dictator, whether it be pro-UKNS or pro-HMKX. India will not be happy with such half-baked independence. It would likely instigate much less rebellion and death if limited assimilation was possible. Here are the Imperial terms. The Empire is willing to renegotiate all except #1 and #2. The responsibility of the Indian autonomous region are as follows. India is an autonomous region of the HMKX Empire. India must follow federal law. India must serve as a proxy for Imperial interests, up to and including moving armies through its territory. India must lower tariffs on Imperial goods. India must hang its flag and the Imperial flag at the same height. The privileges of the Indian autonomous region are as follows. The Empire is willing to renegotiate all of them. India can elect its own government and create its own laws as long as they do not conflict with federal law. The Empire must lower tariffs on Indian goods. The Empire will defend India to the best of its ability without compromising its integrity as a nation. India can have a National Guard in the provision that all equipment is Imperial-owned. India can still use its National Guard in the case of hostile Invasion. India can try its own criminals with certain exceptions. Said exceptions being: Rapists, Serial Killers, Violent Rebellion instigators, and Traitors. India can deny entry to select Imperial citizens should they see fit, with certain exceptions. India has freedom of speech. If an Indian writes a newspaper stating "Why the Imperial Occupation is Unjust", they will not be punished. However, said freedom of speech is limited. If an Indian, or any Imperial citizen for that matter writes "Death to the Imperial Occupation of India! Kill them all!" they will be punished for inciting rebellion. Lastly, If any Imperial citizen or Indian writes "Why India should not be a part of the Empire, and how to remove India democratically", they will not be punished. India, above all is an autonomous region. Imperial citizens are expected to respect that title. The Empire is willing to work with India and the UKNS in order to lower tariffs. The Empire is willing to work with India to renegotiate these terms. (Out of Game: India is busy feeding its own. The Eastern Empire is busy trying to make sure the famine does not hurt it too much. The Western Empire is on its own. This presents... an interesting situation within the Empire.)
The situation of the famine is that the Chinese harvest failed. The harvest was supposed to provide food to a great amount of China's population. While many fields remained well and supplies are plentiful, China's population means that the Empire is out of its league here. Bread is being sent. While rice would be preferable, bread is the next best thing.
The UKNS has agreed to the terms set by the Empire in the negotiations. All that is left is for the Indian nation to accept them. The blockades of the Baltic and Black seas have been lifted. Troops along the UKNS-HMKX border have stood down.
