Community Team Updates This year, we are taking a look at how we can improve our community teams, such as simplifying the onboarding processes and recognizing/rewarding the work of team members. Build Team Since the last newsletter update, the Build Team has had many positive updates! This includes a new Build Team application. The team also released Candy Carnival, a carnival-themed candy trading event complete with a rollercoaster. For the winter holidays, the team released a Tropical Christmas chest hunt event. This event is currently open at /event, so make sure you check it out soon! There are 25 chests available to find, and you may claim 15 of them for prizes. Contribution Team The Contribution Team has been continuing to keep the Wiki updated, and we will be looking into ways to simplify the blog post approval processes this year. His promotion was recently announced during a surprise event. During 2025, the Senior Staff Team will be working on increasing engagement on EMC (no, not marriage fish engagement, sorry SMP8 ) The team is also working on clearly defining the responsibilities for each role on EMC and cleaning up our guides and onboarding/training process for new team members. Development Team EMC recently updated to 1.21. It was a very large update behind the scenes, and chickeneer is working very hard to iron out any remaining bugs.
