Empire Minecraft is still 1.8 - 1.9.4 is near!

I've been mining just fine lately. I don't even see the need for resets so often. There's tons of diamonds and gold by the borders of wastelands that no one wants to go out and get.

Yep, I went out and found 4 Ocean Monuments in the unexplored "Black" areas of one server. Two had no sponges but one had 5 Sponge Rooms!

Well, the reasons for the frequent resets are:

• New Players will see the Wastelands as an actual wasteland, then have one of several reactions including either leaving, getting lost trying to find supplies as they have to travel out very far, or turning to begging
• The creeper explosions make the land impossible to travel across
• Having to travel out very far just to get basic supplies like wood since all the trees relatively close to the spawn have been cut down (not always the case but can and has happened)
• Events that have players building temporary towns out in the Waste (ex: Friday Night or Midnight Miners) need new areas that haven't been touched. If we didn't reset as often areas like this would be harder and harder to find
• People getting lost going out too far into the Wastelands (especially new players as mentioned). While we do now have compasses that work to help us get back, it can still be troublesome if you forget to bring one. Map can also get people with worse internet killed by causing lag
• People would complain about the wastelands not being reset enough, causing more conflicts which then lead to people blatantly leaving the server, something people generally don't like.

These are all the examples I could thing of but still, pretty long list.

Well, Mojang is owned by MS now. After supporting MS products for many, many years, this kind of "Testing" seems SOP for them...

I've got respect for any Devs that try to fix a MS related product release....

I was shocked to find out today that Mojang is already working on 1.9.1 when Jeb announced a new mob he started working on for 1.10.
Although, the Minecraft community right now would prefer bug fixing with 1.9. Right?

Well, sometimes those two can go hand in hand... In fact; I could easily imagine situations where expanding on your own work can be a sure way to expose any present bugs.

With these things its not always a black/white situation. One goal can easily be a big part of the other.

What was this a fix for?

We are waiting... It should be comming...

Can we get a progress report on how much has been done and how much longer it will take, It has been pretty much 2 weeks now and I'm really looking forward to the update.

I hope you guys remember how combat works in 1.9, if you need a refresher, TIME YOUR ATTACKS! I have owned so many people with axes in so many mini games because they didn't do this, and I did.

Jeb, Grum, and/or Searge (Dinnerbone left the Minecraft Team earlier this year for unknown reasons)?
