Some people do come back after being absent for long time. It is a nice surprise for them to find their res still there. Also, there are residences that are useful and/or fun and/or just nice even after the owner has been away for months. I suggest to force-unclaim residences only if there is a really good reason to it, and not just to "clean up" the town. I don't think that imposing fees just to create money sinks is a good idea, but this 5k fee is a kind of small protection from the occasional urge to "clean up" 5k is not that much, you can make it in less than one hour.
Why do some people have like numbers 14, 15, 13 (10-15) not just 1 number for everyone? (except for supporters)
I don't really understand. Derelict policy will still remove residences when there are no free slots, right?
Yes the server will still automatically unclaim the oldest derelict lots when it runs low on free lots for new players.
I don't know how much time you need to vote, but it might be that you can make more rupees by collecting sand: 1) get an eff 4 unbr. 3 shovel, ender chest and usual equipment (cost: around 2.500) 2) go to a desert (2-3 min) 3) collect sand until you fill inventory and ender chest (that would be 54 stacks = 1 DC) You should collect around 4 stacks per minute, so you'll have a DC (54 stacks) in around 14 min. The shovel will last for around 90 stacks, don't use it up, you can use its enchantment on anvil to make a new one (cost: around 450r). 4) go back to the town (2-3 min) 5) Sell 54 stacks of sand for 3294 r (12162 @ smp6) 6) You've made 3294 - 270 = around 3.000 r in under 30 minutes (270r are for shovel wear and tear) 7) repeat You're welcome!
