No, I didn't hear any special noises or something. And when looking into this I also know why, seems I get a lot of game errors about missing sound contents which could explain a thing or two. I did somewhat better, but you'll see when the event is over

This is a legitimately great idea! It also makes it easier on people who suffer from poor internet connections or slow computers. The drop parties of old were CHAOS.

Yeah! Am I lucky or what?! I got this little voucher today from one of the chests. I don't know when I'm going to use it, or redeem it, I think I might redeem it sometime when I'm off from school, sometime or anytime or day when Summer Break starts. I get off on June 5th or June 4th, so I don't know... I do know that I've got lots of awesome little goodies from this event! If you can provide coordinates of the other 12 that would be a useful way to ensure an accurate count and have a complete map of them. It's very easy to double-count.
Also they do not appear to be entirely random. The chest at 526,5-,1272, for example, always gave me a silk touch enchanted book. Likewise with 442,4,-1241 and 526,4,-1296 always giving obsidian stacks. So definitely avoid those ones if you want to get better loot! I originally thought it was entirely random but 6 attempts with the same item is highly unlikely.
