Sach and I used to watch so many movies on VHS when we were kids! I remember having a fondness for these Barbie adaptations of fairy tails like Swan Lake or the Nutcracker :D

I think VHS will stick around for at least a century. It might not be in production now, but that's probably because there is plenty of stock. Diskettes have been out of production for longer than that, I think, but you can still buy them relatively cheaply. I think that for both, when stock becomes very low, someone will set up production again, because it will be worth it.

I still remember it as well! I don't recall thinking much of it, thinking that such events couldn't be true.
