  1. As the title states.....What is something you are proud of?

I know quite a few of you and would love to hear from those I don't really know! What is something you are proud of! Rather it is work, grades in school, you drew a super amazing stick figure!? Please let me know! I will state mine!

I am proud because I got a degree in my dream job! I am a licensed Cosmetologist and I adore it so much because I get to help people more than just making them look pretty! I get to know them they become like family to me! Though at times, I have to "fire" clients, which is because I have to take my business seriously. Mostly I do this due to no shows, cancellations, etc.....I hate to do it, but if I don't it only hurts me worse in the long run! But I am super proud of myself because I attended hair school for over a year with blood sweat and tears.....I did it!

So my EMC community lets hear it! What are you proud of? and why!
  2. I'm proud of making it to 11th grade o_o and uh how I've matured > : D
  3. hey that is awesome!!! I know so many kids that are dropping out :( I know youre doing an amazing job!! Keep it up!!
  4. I'm proud of getting over my fear of heights and go skydiving for the first time 10000 feet in the air. :D
  5. Creations: I'm proud of creating, together with two friends, Προβατα Ιλιου, a great board game about the Trojan war. I'm proud of creating Iter Lanatae, a video game starring one of my best friends ever. I'm proud of writing Operatio Ovis, a Latin story based on a roleplay the earlier mentioned friends and I had at school, and translating it to Dutch and English.

Accomplishments: I'm proud of being able to live by myself. I'm proud of going to university. I'm proud of being able to live without my earthly father (this is a sad one :/).

Distinctions: I'm proud of owning a Nokia C1-01, and not a smartphone. I'm proud of being a 'classic' gamer. I'm proud of Piwi (perhaps this should go into the next category, but it feels bad classing Piwi as an object :p).

Objects: I'm proud of my self-designed video game character canvas. I'm proud of my watch. I'm proud of all the amazing things I got from my friends. I'm proud of my digital piano.

And last, but most: I'm very proud (but in a humble way ;)) of doing my best to follow Jesus Christ.
I want to emphasise on this because I had a rather intense discussion with some atheists, today. :p
  6. yeah you have fun with that

i'm proud of finally gathering up my courage and asking a girl on a date(it's here in a couple days i'll let you all know how it went)
I'm also proud of making it into high school i remeber years ago when i thought i would never make it well HA!past me i did make it

  7. My Father died when I was 16 :( So I totally feel you there! I am proud to say I am doing well too! Just remember goodbye isn't forever.....You will see him again and it will be so amazing!! <3

  8. I love these stories! Keep up the good work all of y'all!!! Remeber SELF PRESERVATION IS NOT SELFISH!
  9. I don't really have a lot I'm especially proud of actually...

Having learned this piece on piano defently is something though:
    (If you think it's a boring pice, skip to 3:20 :p )
I would also say I'm proud of learning pieces like Poppy Ackroyd's feathers and Fredericio Albanese's Shadow land by ear. Learning by ear was new for me at the time, but I think I've really managed to do it, mainly with the pieces I have worked on later on, the ones I always wanted to learn, but didn't, as I was bound to sheet music at the time: Albanese, Evgrafov, Lazarev and more Neoclassic :p

Apart from that, I don't think I'm proud of anything I did. It's not that I didn't do anything noteble, it's just that I'm not proud of it.

  10. Interesting!
  11. Came here thinking I'd be able to ring off two or three things, now realise I have nothing I'm proud of at the moment. Huh. I'll come back later... probably.

  12. I'm proud of how much I've changed and grown over the past couple of years.
I used to obsessively reject religion and deny everything about it, it was really gross and toxic. Eventually I met some people and while I'm not a religious person, I have come to accept that faith is something that most people hold on to as their source of hope and comfort, whether or not it is actually real.
I've gone from someone who would try to argue about religion with "science" to someone who respects other peoples' beliefs because they do not affect me whatsoever.

  13. I'm proud of self-publishing my first book. Working on 5 others now!

    Other Accomplishments:

    Knowing how to beekeep.
I've played soccer for 8 years.
    Made a zipline.
Made a killer tree house up in the treetops.
    Snorkeled with sharks.
Played EMC for more than 3 years.
  14. Somehow, despite my best efforts and my cactus-like personality, there are a few people on EMC who actually like and respect me...
Half-joking - in seriousness though, I am proud that I've managed to be a positive influence on some folks (both on EMC and elsewhere).

    Book-tiger requests more information!

  15. This is a great thread idea, Skitzie! Thanks :)

I am proud to call myself a member of Empire Minecraft. EMC has changed me a lot, and I am a much more mature and respectful person because of it. It's not always a smooth, perfect ride, but being a part of this community the last three years has been wonderful!

I'm also proud to be in the highest levels of dance classes offered at my studio, as well as being part of a semi-professional ballet company. My dancing has improved immensely over the last 5 years, and I hope to keep getting better!
  16. These stories make me happy in my heart! Doesn't it feel good to be proud of yourself? For a long time I was so worried about making others proud I kind of lost myself on the way. Which lead to a horrific depression. I felt like a looser. Like I was worthless.....I found my self worth and became proud of MYSELF. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of something you accomplish for yourself.....I think to often we forget to give ourselves the recognition we deserve..... <3 you all!

  17. I can also say today, is my third day off work for being sick, I had a proud moment, because I had to tell a client she had to wait until Friday for an appointment....She continued to work me and make me feel bad about not being there...I finally took a deep breath and said look youre my friend and my client....I love you but I absolutely cannot come in...IF that is not something you can be understanding of then I am sorry, I will ask you to start going to someone else for your nails. She immediately hung up....My boss called me later and asked what happened I explained to her the situation..She chuckled and said you are so sweet hearted honey. But remember you have to take care of you first. Shes right...So I am proud of myself for standing my ground, even though I may have lost a friend....She'll come around...Besides who wants beautiful nails with a side of Strep throat lol...<3

  18. It's awesome you stood your ground Skitz! Way to fight back :D

Now, I am pretty proud of X/C running and my pace has improved since summer (because I was a lazy couch POTATO and didn't train :p) and I also am proud of my decision to leave my old friends who seemed to not talk to each other much unless it was sharing memes and looked at their phones. I wanted a more social group, so I found a new group (I know most people in it prior) and it is a very social group with around 30 members!

  20. I am proud to be the only one in the pilot program of my county that actually wanted to be a vet. (Vet Sciences is a pilot program for our school) I am also proud that I have managed to earn the attention of several extremely good schools- including the one I've been hunting!
However, with hard work comes a cost.. I am on major burnout- and I don't see myself pulling out of it before i slam back into the ground where I started... I am proud to say I have pulled myself through many many times, but sad to say this may not be one of those where I pull up before I hit the ground... *sigh* I sure hope my grade doesn't take a nasty blow...
