[Forum Game] New Nations

  1. The Empire is too busy trying to provoke India and get the pipeline done.
  2. The UNAF finally finishes designing the new M46 Patton. A predecessor to the M26 Pershing, the M46 should be a far greater upgrade from the dreadfully slower and heavy M26 Pershing. Production has started on the new tank, and a total of 800 tanks are expected to be built. Testing will begin in 2 posts, and production should end in 4 posts.

Citizens are still disputing over whether TUN should become a Democratic nation or stay as an Oligarchy. Many citizens are pushing for the change, although many are saying we in a good position economically anyway, so why fix what isn't broken? TUN Council fears for revolt, although doesn't want to give up the power, the parliament is scrambling as well.

It has been finalized, and the last residential school in Canada has been closed. No longer will Native American children have to be forced into European Catholic ideals, and no longer will these children have to bear the abuse and punishment seen in these schools. An apology has been given directly from the United North government, and promises to fund the Indigenous education and healthcare system are underway. The project to clean up the environment and ecosystems around Indian Reservations has been seen as a success, although much work is needed to be done.

TUN council has gained intelligence on the planned invasion of India by The Empire, although nothing has been leaked to the public and TUN wishes to not intervene.
  3. TUN has changed the laws of capital punishment. To receive the death penalty, crimes must be very severe.
  4. The Empire is taking steps to modify their extensive network of spies in the TUN in order to abandon any measure of control. The option of controlling has been utterly useless to the Empire, and only has been draining money from the treasury trying to cover it up. Additionally, measures preparing for Democracy by TUN has also been readied.
Lastly, modernization of the Imperial fleet is being readied. The Empire's best minds are prepared to create aircraft carriers of Imperial design, as well as ships designed to blockade powerful navies. In case of UKS-HMKX conflict, a blockade will be useful, or in any situation, actually. This christens a new type of naval ship, a powerfully-armed ship capable of taking out any destroyer or corvette. 3 of them could very easily take out a heavy attack cruiser, or a battleship with some difficulty. With 4 units and specialized long-range missiles and guns, they could take out an aircraft carrier. The name for this new type of ship is Fensuo. This is a term like Cruiser, or Corvette. 3 types of Fensuo have made the cut. 2 will be actually built.
Resolute-Class Fensuo Ship: 4,000 tons displacement standard load. 33 knots maximum speed,
extensive anti-aircraft weaponry, to the point of hindering capability. Considered both flaw and advantage. 6 16cm guns placed at various points around the ship. While depth charges and torpedoes are not lacking, they are mediocre at best. This ship is extremely heavily armored, and has many defensive features, to protect against bombs. It is designed to create distractions against enemy fighters and drain carriers of their ability to fight.
Reliable-Class Fensuo Ship: 4,500 tons displacement standard load. 29 knots maximum speed, anti-aircraft weaponry sufficient. While there are only 2 14-centimeter guns, the ship serves as a devastatingly effective missile platform, and Imperial missiles are frighteningly accurate. If Reliable-type ships launch 10 missiles, 5 will hit its target, and remember how far away and how small of a target 1 ship is. In addition, the missiles are very cheap while the ship is not. These are long-range and serve precisely as an aircraft-carrier killer, designed to counter newfangled ships.
Hammer-Down-Class Fensuo Ship: 2,700 tons displacement standard load. 43 knots maximum speed. This is sustainable without strain to engines. The most unusual of the four models, this type serves to chase down fast ships as a pack and destroy them. They are the prime anti-battleship and anti-cruiser ship, mentioned at the start. They also destroy aircraft carriers, at great loss. Their sheer speed and heavy armament means that they sacrifice armor, and many stability-giving structures. Their armament consists of 2 25cm guns and 14 64cm torpedo tubes. They have a low profile, and can create smokescreens to cover retreats.
Severance-Class Fensuo Ship: 3,200 tons displacement standard load. This model has undergone significant design difficulty. 35 knots maximum speed. The generic blockader, it has moderate armament and mediocre armor. In addition, many design flaws were identified that might have caused the ship to sink had it been more than theoretical. This model has been scrapped.
Aircraft carriers have only 1 2 models, both of them scheduled for building.
Imposition-Class Aircraft Carrier. 34,000 tons displacement standard load. 33 knots maximum speed. Can hold 70 E-1 or MiG-17s, while 35 TN-14 bombers can be held. This aircraft carrier is one of the largest to date. It is expensive, and has some AA firepower. It will take 2 years to actually build one of these things, but the Empire is building 3 at once, and it is not slowing down anything.
Feather-Class Aircraft Carrier. 12,000 tons displacement standard load. 32 knots maximum speed, 32-fighter capable. This is a light aircraft carrier with some AA firepower. These things are fairly easy to build, and taking 1 year, this will be for now the primary aircraft carrier of the Empire. The Empire ordered 12 of them.
Mass conscription is taking place. Publicly, this is to defend against UKNS and India. It's really only against one of them.
Tank production is underway, with the new model having had modified design. The Elite model is surprisingly easy to repair, but comes nowhere near the Imperial ubiquity of easy repair and maintenance. Made with only the best steel and tech, this model is more than twice as expensive as the regular model. Note "best'' tech, not "newest" tech. They, in training sessions against the T-34 and Panther proved to enter outnumbered 5-1 and leave with 7 smoking tank remains, the 2 being tanks it hunted down that was far away and left as a challenge, with only dents and burn marks to show it had fought. Of course, this is expensive as all hell, considering the quantity of the best steel the Empire can create. (Hint: It's very expensive.). Only 100 units have entered production, and another 50 are underway.
The regular model/slight downgrade for sake of easy mass production model is a very effective frontline battle tank, being the derivative of the T-55 and elements of generation 2 tank designs. It is fairly, but not extremely expensive and easy to build and repair, as the Imperial standard deems it should be. It will serve as the Imperial standard battle tank, for now. 5,000 units are in production, with 1,500 being modified for Indian weather and terrain. These 5,000 units represent the single greatest battle tank in existence other than the Imperial elite units. India, or maybe if things go bad UKNS will crumble under sheer force of the fact Imperial tanks are powerful and easy to maintain, therefore giving them a battlefield advantage.
In other news, the HMKX Empire keeps poking India about the disputed lands. The Empire wants India to be itching for a fight when it begins.
  5. The UNRA funds tons of money intro producing the best of the best, the B-45 Tornado, F-86 Sabre, F9F Panther, and the F-94 Starfire. Blue prints have already been finished and the planes are expected to produced in 4 posts and ready for action in 6 posts.

    (out of game)
I honestly dont know much about aircraft, but i'm trying...
  6. The Imperial Navy has decided on which two models of Fensuo to produce. Due to the frequent breakdowns of the Hammer-Down-Class due to sheer hull weakness, the Resolute and Reliable have been commissioned and will be used as anti-ship blockaders. Blockade runners cannot be allowed past.
Lastly, the HMKX Empire has tested its SRBMs and MRBMs by launching it over several UKS territories before it crashes into the sea. Crashing it into the sea was completely intentional, and telegrams to the UKS by Imperial proxies confirm this. This is a message of power. The Empire can hit anywhere, anything.
  7. Dont let this game die out Alt...
  8. I second this. Alt, explain why you cannot update or update. You've missed a lot. This is actually pretty fun, and I would hate for it to die. 607, you too, though you have far less of a responsibility, as you're not the starter of this thread.

  9. Exactly, it cant just be us going on and on, we're waiting on you to push out some new updates

  10. I haven't been responding because Jamie isn't. This isn't really my type of game, and I'm mostly playing to make the game more full, and help time progress. But if the host isn't active, I don't have a motivation to be. ;)

But yeah, it started off fairly well, it would be nice if it kept going. Perhaps we should invite some other interested members. Both of you are new though, so you won't know them. Jamie does, and I've asked him to tell some past players about this new thread, but he hasn't responded to that specific message.

  11. Who is Jamie?
  12. Sorry, I wasn't sure what to call him. Jamie, if you've got an alternative you'd rather have me use, please tell me. :p I don't want to call you 'Alt', that sounds stupid, and calling you 'Soul' while it's not your name anymore and I never liked the name anyway seems strange as well. :/
Anyway, it's the host I'm talking about, of course. I recall him using that name in public for some time, but I do recognise it's been a while, and so I have doubted me still calling him that in public... but as explained, I don't know a better alternative.

  13. The UKS has condemned the Empire's display of power. They have begun a recruitment drive in the army, hoping to grow it by 100,000 to 1 million from 900,000 by late 1951. More funding has been splashed into the development of nuclear missiles, and the testing date of the first bomb has been scheduled for a solid date in spring 1950, after which a rollout of the first generation of North Sea nuclear missiles will begin. They have also placed sanctions on imports from the HMKX Empire and warned that they are not to be messed with in this way.

Troops stationed along the Danish-German border have begun the annexation of Germany. When completed, Germany shall be a colony of the UKS - this will take 10 posts. The Prime Minister cites the chaos in Germany as a result of the end of the war as the reason, and wishes to bring peace to the troubled nation. It is expected that the soldiers of the German Reich will grow the size of the UKS army by 165,000 to 1.65 million (1.165 million by the end of the recruitment drive). The coal and iron provided by the continental nation will also be invaluable.

OUT OF CHARACTER: I apologise for my inactivity in this thread. I've been busy with getting my A Level results (the two days before I got them had me in a mindset where I didn't want to do anything fun), looking for uni places, job hunting, driving lessons, writing, blahblahblah, and any free time I had was spent with my friends, family, or grocery shopping. It's all calmed down a bit now, for at least the next few days, so I'll try to keep myself active here.

  14. The Empire is extremely alarmed at this. This only gives more reason to the Empire to perpetuate conscription. The Imperial Army stands at 8.42 Million, and growing rapidly. Women and Men, while with slightly different physical standards, are conscripted equally, with a 0.6:1 ratio of women:men volunteering due to old-war viewpoints. But numbers are not everything. The initial India plan was far too... Soviet.
(This is all hushed up, of course.)

An invasion of total 9.9 Million is not remotely feasible with the rising costs of equipping each trooper, and the rising Imperial doctrine of Quality over Quantity. This is visible with the new tank and airplane policy. The Imperial Army is very well equipped thanks to the new gear and supplies, but the costs mean the Empire must revise the plan.
The shock of millions of troops rushing in cannot be compromised. Therefore, new plans have been made.
The Fensuo ships will completely surround India, choking off any semblance of outside help, while Imperial troops rush in under the German tactic blitzkrieg. While not actually used in German war rooms, it will still prove very helpful, under the cover of armored support and mighty airplanes. The issue of ethics has been firmly set down. War crimes, helpful or not to the Imperial invasion is to be strictly punished, and subtly advertised to the invaded populace. When citizens are captured, they are Imperial citizens, and should be treated as such. Extrajudicial punishment is punishable by jail time of up to 8 years for non-lethal extrajudicial punishment/non-crime against humanity E.G. Rape, mass murder, cruel and unusual punishment. This is the same for any Imperial citizen. For lethal/crime against humanity extrajudicial punishment, the offender can be punished by up to 30 years in jail time. Ditto for any other Imperial citizens. Rape, however will result in lifelong solitary confinement, or execution, depending on which one the punished prefers. Any rape trial, however will likely take years due to no one wanting to be executed or subject to lifelong solitary confinement.
The Invaded peoples act applies onto everyone.
The actual invasion plan consists of the following.
    1. Complete Naval blockade consisting of the brand new, fresh out of the shipyard Fensuo ships and cruisers.
    2. Actual Invasion! 4.8 Million troops, followed by 2,500 T-34 units and Jet bombers will storm India. The bombers will exclusively bomb TROOPS and SUPPLY LINES (supply lines consist of things like factories. The Empire will not bomb roads, for reasons I'll get into later). The fighting will be slow. There is a reason the Empire built all those rail lines. They are to supply food and ammo to the front. The supply lines will be stretched enough through India itself, the HMKX Empire cannot have it stretch through the entire Chinese landmass.
    3. While the first wave loses strength, A second wave follows, from the SEA. While India has its hands full trying (and failing) to break the blockade, an invasion force consisting of 990,000 soldiers enter India and creates a 2-front war. The Imperial pacific fleet closes in and tightens the coil, ripping apart any Indian ships that may be bombing the 990,000 troops and the new Imperial battle tank, consisting of 1,000 units. This is a risky maneuver, and will depend on the Empire's ability to continuously bleed troops and supplies through the Indian navy.
    4. The Indian troops are surrounded. The Empire moves into a defensive position and gathers supplies at semi-weak points in the line. If the Empire exploits outright weak points, the Indians will surely notice. This must be done QUICKLY. India is one of the countries that have done fairly well after WW2, and this makes it a tough opponent. However, its roads can and will be exploited to deliver supplies. Then, the final push begins. The Empire will attack at only one of these semi-weak points. False supplies and massive fictional armies will be delivered to all the other semi-weak spots. The breakthrough will utilize some of the most merciless bombings of the entire invasion, turning the line into moon-like terrain, complete with craters.
    5. Mop up. Once the Empire can get the riots under control, soldiers out, policemen in.
    The Empire continues poking India.
  15. TUN has been hard at research on the nuclear project. The first nuclear power plant is expected to be finished and produce enough energy to power a grid in 1952. The first nuclear missile is expected to be tested in 1950.

Finally, the first batch of M46 Patton tanks has been finished. 800 newly fresh models roll off Michigan assembly lines, and many are sent around the country. 20 are sent to Europe. These tanks are much more superior to the lighter T-34-85 variants, and this tank is expected to own the battlefield, as of now. 10 M46 Pattons are sent to the border of Vermont to prepare for invasion. This will take 2 posts
  16. Large-scale protests break out throughout Ottawa, demanding for a reformation in the government. TUN Council fears for a revolt once again, and talks on what to do spread throughout the parliament. TUN Council talks on a Presidential and Representative Democracy. Major plans to put this in effect are underway, and citizens are told to keep the rioting down, as new legislation is underway.
  17. The Empire has initiated strict guidelines for Nuclear power plants. While this is likely to slow down development, it's better than the entire plant going boom.
Nuclear power plants must be built at least 200km away from major cities, and 20km away from each other, with large, chain-collapse probable reactors banned entirely.
    ALERT LEVELS
Class 1 alert: Indicated by a straight 1-minute siren. Emergency level that is likely "easily" taken care of, but still capable of causing disaster.
Class 2 alert: Indicated by 3 minutes of varing siren sounds. Emergency level that requires all hands on deck, likely to cause disaster if not mitigated.
    SITUATION LEVELS
WHITE LEVEL: Severe risk of "Mild" Nuclear incident (mild defined as unplanned cessation of fission and structural damage within the reactor, no radiation leakage.) public within 50km notified and ordered to seal windows until further notice. Any nuclear reactor within 50km shut down.
ORANGE LEVEL: Actual "Moderate" Nuclear incident (moderate defined as leakage of radiation brought to control in hours, and likely damage to reactor. In multi-reactor power plants, the incident must not have spread to more than 1 reactor.) public within 150km ordered to seal windows, public within 50km ordered to evacuate, with 150km public evacuation voluntary but recommended. Any nuclear reactor within 50km shut down.
RED LEVEL: Actual "Severe" Nuclear incident (severe defined as catastrophic failure of nuclear containment) public within 150km ordered to evacuate, 230km radius recommended. 500km radius ordered to seal windows. Any reactor within 150km radius ordered to shut down.
BLACK LEVEL: Multi-Power Plant "Severe" incident. Likely due to design flaw, all Nuclear plants shut down while flaw is remedied. Otherwise the same as RED LEVEL disaster.

  18. I don't know what to do anymore, at this point, not knowing much about anything related to this game. The only plans I have are with regard to philosophy and religion, actually.

  19. That’s quite all right, in my view.
Perhaps Alt could engineer your nation’s collapse?
I also could, by more in-game and hostile means.
  20. I can react to things happening around me, like the space thing and the Empire's trade offer, but I can't really make up such stuff myself. :p I'd also like for Swissilia to become a democracy after 15 years (so in 22 pages, I guess that will take a while anyway), but I wouldn't know how to move toward that.
Oh well, I'll try to remain in the game, but I had hoped for more other people to join, so I could be less present. ;)
