  6. Football is a different sport in the USA/australia (and some other countries maybe) and other parts in the world (like the UK and the Netherlands). For 'us' Football is the name of soccer. Which I think makes sence, since football better describes the sport soccer than rugby (or a rugby alike sport, I am not sure even if rugby is completely the same sport as American football :p), like you said you can touch the ball with your hands in American football, while it is clearly called football.

    This always has confused me a bit (and I am sure I am not the only one), so I hoped I was able to expain correctly :rolleyes:

  12. I wish others would follow. This is such a 1936 Olympics moment, where everyone goes to the fascist regime and allows it to show itself off to the world with such prestige and splendour, and it's really revolting. I'm surprised that England didn't do it, given that it was 26 of our people who the Russians almost killed in their streets.

    I'll bite with the guessing game though and say Germany. I doubt they'll win, especially seeing as they won last time lol, but I'm sure they'll at least get quite far. I'll back Serbia too, seeing as they beat Wales (I'm half-Welsh) in the qualification rounds last year and my Serb gf rubs it in my face all the time - genuinely hoping they win although I don't even think they'll get far lol
