  16. The loss to Austria is concerning to me, but its easy to read too much into them. Friendlies are just that - games with no stakes. The US has beaten Germany at their peak in a friendly, which would lead you to think the US would do well in the World Cup/Confederations cup as well as subsequent qualifications for them since Germany is pretty consistent on semi-final/final appearances.

    But anyone see the US in the tournament? If you do let me know cause that would mean I'm blind and deaf. :p

    When you add stakes, you add motivation. That can be a game maker (or cause to buy tickets home early).
