Notes for this: Rarity of the chests did not determine exactly what item you were getting, but more of your CHANCE of obtaining a high-value item. Each chest has 10 slots to choose from. Easy to find chests: Mixture of tnt, diamonds, emeralds, obsidian, etc. High-value promos not included. Medium chests: Mixture of easy chest items, plus golden apples and enchanted books, then 1/10 or 2/10 chance at a high-value item. Hard chests: Mixture of easy chest items + golden apples and ench. books + 3/10 or 4/10 chance of high-value item Extreme chests: 9/10 chance of high-value item or 1/10 diamonds/gold apples/etc. As rarity increases, your chance of a promo-type/marlix armor item increases, but you aren't necessarily guaranteed a certain one.

lol, no jelly is not shelly Nah, I maybe a bit critical sometimes but honestly that doesn't automatically mean that I'm negative. It was a really fun event, and I really enjoyed the puzzles and the fun jokes which the staff put into the village this time. I'm definitely going to visit a few times again, also to work out my upcoming review (I think I'll aim straight for the blog so that I can simply write it all up without having to worry too much about spoilers and such). But seriously: this was FUN. Now, I did "cheat" a little bit because I decided that I might as well involve my alt into all this, but... Yah, that comes with a price (read on ): On top is my stuff, below is my alts (GripCEO's) stuff. First the stuff which I got fully legit (= finding & using chests for the first time): Super Dragon poop (sounds icky, lol! ) Maxarian head (knowing what I read on the forums and heard in-game I really enjoy to have both an Aikar & Maxarian head, considering how they're a couple in real life and all!). 16 diamonds 2 stacks of emeralds 64 XP bottles 64 TNT And 3 enchanted books (Fortune III, Protection IV and Projectile Protection IV) As mentioned above I also brought in my ALT GripCEO. Both to help out some friends a bit, to investigate how those chests work (is it random or is there a pattern?) and to have some fun! GripCEO's stuff: Maxarian head (found a Mineral Mincer & traded it with Aya) Chicken Skewer 2 x 16 = 32 diamonds One stack of obsidian One stack of TNT 3 x stack of XP bottles One Fortune III enchanted book Unfortunately for me the GRIP rules manifesto says under chapter 64, paragraph 13, section 9 that alts which are working for GRIP and associated with GRIP senior members are not allowed to use events for personal gain. You know, to avoid anything which might lead to conflict of interest and all that. So the promo items (Chicken Skewer and Maxarian head) are confiscated. These two items will be added to the prizes which players can win in my (now decently soonish) upcoming "1 year anniversary" treasure hunt. Together with an extra cupid bow. I had to make room in my promo chest for the Maxarian head, so might as well sweeten the pot even more so to speak But yeah, thanks for organizing all this guys, it was a lot of fun! And I still stand by what I said last year: in my opinion an event like this is much more fun and also more fair than a drop party because everyone can win some good prizes!
It must not work for us that live in the Frontier's cause I have hit / event 25-50 times now and nothing at all happens.
Good job on 400k EMC. Got a pretty nice things from this. I got an Ore Buster, Marlix Armor (Chest Plate), Diamond Horse Armour, 1 Stack of XP Bottle, 2 Stacks of Emeralds, 1 Stack of Diamonds, 1 Stack of Obsidian, and 2 Feather Falling IV.
Amazing! I always knew that EMC was a great server, but it's impressive to hit 400k, especially on an SMP server these days! BTW quick question: do chests that are harder to find contain better loot, or do they all draw from the same loot tables?
But there are no guarantees Its still a luck of the draw, and even harder chests can sometimes drop regular items.
why were ore busters given out in the chests jw? they're pretty old and lots of players will loose r because the value will drop

No, they won't lose rupees, they'll only lose a bit of item value. But it'll rise again, and this way these great pick-axes can be in use again instead of being only collector's items.
