Elite Member, Male, from Tennessee

I know I'm extremely late, but congrats to EMC's sweet and extremely well-deserved moderator, MoreMoople! I'm not back, but I never forgot how sweet she always was, and I still check in quietly once every few months. Jul 21, 2019

Once again a reminder: Unless I'm following you, you MUST PM me to contact me (unless you post on one of my non-locked threads, of course). However, I was only following 247 people when I changed my profile to block non-following from messaging, and now I'm following 260 people.

It's expected to be 93F, the record high in May where I live, tomorrow. #ClimateChangeIsReal

The Trump administration, and the state governments of Oklahoma and Tennessee, are STILL undermining the equal rights in our states. Religious freedom, while a necessity, is NOT an excuse to discriminate against others. As Pres. Lincoln once said, "A house divided cannot stand."
      1. We3_MPO
        We3_MPO
This is ridiculous. If you're considering moving to Oklahoma or Tennessee, take my advice: DON'T. It is a very foolish move that will do nothing but send you into an environment that is usually either hot and humid or cold (in different halves of the year), and in areas that also refuse to respect their own people's rights.

If you're a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jew, Buddhist, or any other religion, please don't take this as offensive. Same applies to Republicans. Believe what you want to believe, but don't let it influence how anyone else lives in a negative way. Plus, I know not all religious people and Republicans condemn LGBTs, and there are some non-Republican non-religious people who do.

It's very good (but not surprising at all) to see that HRC the person is standing with and fighting for HRC the organization. Although the HRC (the organization) does use fearmongering to get money like the NRA does, the HRC does very good work for this country otherwise.

Also happy Mother's Day to all you moms and mom-lovers!
    7. We3_MPO
Make trees, not war. We need to unpollute our poor planet, save and expand our remaining rainforests, and prevent deserts from expanding more or forming. I don't want the Amazon or Appalachian to dry up, or for another Dust Bowl to happen and turn the Great Plains to desert.
    8. We3_MPO
For those of you who are moms, happy early Mother's Day (it's tomorrow but I don't want to forget)!

Thanks! I chose those particular colors because lime and cyan match the MPO, and stand out just as well as white, yellow, or lavender (if not better) against a dark gray background.

Actually, it makes it much harder to read for me, especially but not only on my phone, making me much more often just skip the post because I can't be bothered to read it in the annoying colours. :P

North Korea is risking another nuclear disaster, and 200+ people died last month when a nuclear test site collapsed. I completely do not trust them (or for that matter, ISIS) to go nuclear like DPRK has been doing, whether it be power plants or bombs.

I hope the nuclear power plant doesn't explode because parts of neighboring countries would be severely endangered and desolated by that event too, and it's likely that 100 million or more people (most of which would be innocent civilians) would die in the catastrophe.

It's expected to be 92F on Monday. Record high for May is 93F where I live. The forecast seems to have been predicting hotter temperatures for this weekend's heat wave the closer we've gotten to it. Nuuu... :/

        We3_MPO
Plus apparently this is CLEAR evidence that we're highly likely to have a harsh Summer like what they've been predicting. I just hope we don't have another drought, or a record heat wave like the June 2012 one...

If 58 degrees outdoors feels nice and warm (even at night or in the shade), then why does 65 degrees indoors feel so miserably cold?

Yes! I've wondered about that as well! Probably the humidity?

    15. We3_MPO
If the average temperatures and humidity are similar, why does June feel much hotter than August, November much colder than February/March, and May much hotter than September/October? Is it the daylight hours/sun angle, or that it's warmer/cooler than it has been?
      1. Prairie_Fire
        Prairie_Fire
Because you haven’t adapted to it by then. 60 degrees in April is shorts weather, but 60 degrees in September is cold enough for a jacket.

        We3_MPO
Yeah, I can kind of understand that. 58 degrees in February through June feels warm, but 62 degrees in August through November feels chilly. (For May, June, August, and September, I'm talking about those temperatures at night and not during daytime, as days in those months are quite hot/humid.)

Not again... Shooting spree in San Diego? NO! If you keep contemplating killing anyone, whether it be yourself or others, get medical help, and if you know of anyone else who is threatening to do those things, refer them to medical help. Mentally ill people need to be cured...

90F on Saturday? Me having trouble getting up until the afternoons? Only hot weather in sight? Humid subtropical climate? Nope. Going out at night instead until the pool gets vacuumed and I can get used to it. I hate when my sweat sticks to me, even if only a small amount.

It's projected to be 89F/90F on Mother's Day weekend. It's warming up way too fast for me... I hate having an extended Winter followed by the usual long, harsh Summers. It's so humid here, and I wouldn't be getting any Vitamin D by just being outside at night.
      1. We3_MPO
        We3_MPO
Screw my intolerance of temperatures not in the 57F-76F range... and of rainy weather... but I hate having my sweat stick to me (ew...), I don't feel comfortable wearing a jacket or long sleeves (and the former can mess my hair up a bit), and because I wear glasses, raindrops piling up on the lenses makes it almost impossible for me to see properly.

And in case you're wondering, as someone who plans to move to Arizona, whether I even get regular dental exams, yes, I do. I'm only 15 and have even already had all four of my wisdom teeth surgically removed by request, and I have only had three cavities (none of which were major, two of which were minor) and zero root canals.

So for those of you looking to move to or considering moving to Tennessee, take my advice: It's a foolish move! While it is warm and pretty here, multiple states are warmer and prettier, allergies here are awful, the LGBT community is oppressed and small (well, except in Nashville), and there are other, more urban states!

Only good thing I can say about it is the roads, and again, there are other states doing a good job about that too.

The Minecraft Paradise Outpost on SMP6 has lots to offer! Thread: emc.gs/t/63120/

"If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." -Sirius Black (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)

    About

Hello, fellow EMC players. The below info shows everything you need to know about me.

First and foremost, please know that I have officially left, for various reasons. However, you may find out why in the thread listed as my "Home page", and you may still read on to find out more about me.

I am a founder of the Minecraft Paradise Outpost on SMP6. That is where I spend most of my time on EMC. We mainly specialize in building, but we also try to make our transportation systems better than you'd find most other places and have farms to obtain various items. We have a very organized democracy. If you would like to join, please PM me. Make sure you check often for an application, but keep in mind that it may be a while and that you're not guaranteed to get accepted. We do have every biome, except for a few of the very rare M variations. Unfortunately, we only have one Mushroom Island, and only one Ice Spikes that is completely within our boundaries, but we do have more Ice Spikes partially in our boundaries, and we have two each of even Jungle and Mesa (the Jungles are huge, and one of the Mesas is a few large islands with one of our major cities).

I have various hobbies in real life, as well. They include riding around, drawing, partying, studying maps, studying the weather, playing outside (if it's not hot or too cold), hanging out with my friends, and of course, gaming. I even live on a 170+ acre farm where we have 4wheeling trails and some creeks and springs. The property owners, my parents, and I enjoy what we have, and we always try to think about what we can do to improve even more.

I have two Jack Russell Terriers, which are sisters from the same litter. They are so smart and the best dogs ever! One of them has truly stolen my heart. They get along very well too, and know a younger, bigger Border Collie mix that lives with my grandmother nearby. He is very playful.

I do play other games, too. They include, but aren't limited to, SimCity 2013, Cities:Skylines, Banished, Transport Fever, Luxor 2, Tumblebugs (both versions), American Truck Simulator, Virtual Villagers, The Sims Freeplay (not as often), Fish Tycoon (also not as often), and Virtual Villagers. The only multiplayer server on a game I currently play on is EMC, because most others seem like they're not interesting, too small, or not good servers for my kind of person.

I am also a minority in two ways. First, I am on the autism spectrum. I was diagnosed when I was only two, and am very lucky compared to most autistic people. I would like to tell you all, as someone living with it, that it can be hard, but isn't always extreme. If you would like to know more about Autism, there is a documentary called Autism in Love. I recommend it, because the words are from 4 people living with Autism and their families. Coincidentally, April 2nd is both my mother's birthday and Autism Awareness Day. Secondly, I also am part of the LGBTQ+ community because I am gay. I haven't had a boyfriend yet as of February 2018, but am trying to find one. Fortunately, my parents, friends, grandmothers, closest cousins, and aunts/uncles are supportive, and I wish everyone was this lucky. I support black rights, women's rights, transgender rights, and animal rights, too. I believe that every human has value as long as they do what they enjoy without being mean to others, and that animals and even plants are very valuable (and in the case of animals, I believe should be equal) forms of life too.

I do also study climate and the weather, and I was fortunate to be born into the subtropical climate of the southeastern United States. I was born in middle Tennessee and have lived there all my life. My favorite season is Spring (coincidentally, my birthday is on March 12 and my mom's on April 2) because my favorite animals are dogs, frogs, and ants, plus I prefer green trees over dead-looking or autumn-colored ones and like flowers. My least favorite is Autumn for the reasons stated before, combined with my seasonal anxiety in November. I like Summer more than Winter, but I don't like it to be above 80F unless the pool water is warm enough for me to swim in comfortably (it usually isn't above 85F for the water temperature, but I need it to be for me to tolerate it), nor do I like things below 55F without it snowing just enough to pile up on the ground (which, due to the subtropical climate, usually only happens once or twice a Winter). I even have a thread about the seasons.

Do you like to draw and/or look at drawings? I do have a thread where I post some of my digital drawings, and as stated above, I do like to draw; but it's mostly (not entirely, of course) Spring stuff because I like colorful stuff and green stuff, and value life in general. The link is: https://empireminecraft.com/threads/we3s-art-thread.75122/

I hope you found this interesting. If you would like to talk to me, you may PM me, but as always, please do not be rude.
