i started to feel like i wasn't ever going to be good enough, as i've tried/wanted to be part of the team for a very long time.. its been over a year and a half since i sent in my first application. long time i waited, i'm glad i waited and stayed.

Just curious, but what will you do if you do not get chosen soon?

What exactly is EMC looking for with the app? Because I'm starting to feel that I screwed up big time. I was expecting my results within 3 or so days.

Well you can't be chosen right away, as krysyy stated before the staff team is watching some players to see if they are fit for being a moderator =)

It takes time for EMC staff to look through every EMC application. Chances are, it is rare to even get a reply on your application if you did something.

The biggest misconception with the staff application is that there is a "right way" to do it that gets you picked. The biggest thing they are looking for is honesty. Most of the "long answer" questions are very open ended, so the only way to do them wrong is to fill them out with the mindset of trying to find the best answer to get you in.

you don't get a response just from sending in an application... imagine how many messages staff would have to send to tell someone no? .. that isn't a very useful way of time to be used.
when you apply for a job, the job place doesn't call you to tell you why you aren't getting hired.

One important thing is patients, it take time to evaluate those the staff are considering at this time. I sould imagin there is a lot of applications to go through also and they want to make the right choices with who ever they chose.

Even if you do not hear now don't lose heart it may take a time, just make the most of the time and enjoy the game don't think about it. You can still help out where you see a need, especially with the new players.

...Writing 1,500 books is hard, at least at the moment without the 1.8 book-copy functions, or any type of book writing mod.

Writing 1500 books is pie with 1500 people. All them being read and analyzed by a couple people - not so much.

You can copy books already... Written book and a book and quill in a crafting bench. boom. magix
