  1. I don't even know why humans wear clothes. No other animal seems to have the need to wear them, so why do we?

  2. They're meant to be artistic depictions, of purity and virginity.
  3. 1. They look cool.
    2. The world is generally cold.
    3. Other reasons exist.

  4. We have evolved to not have alot of hair, the main change form early human, to modern ones. This lack of hair is either a mutation, or we found out we could ware other animals fur, so we lost ours. humans have a nasty habit for the most part, to tend to like to stay warm.
  5. Thank you......
Now i am re-living every moment of my life in my head....
    Except everyone is naked........

But my god can you think how different it would be if no one wore clothes ._.
Our society would be so different.......
Would clothes be the new naked?

  14. I think that's a little unfair. Google "religious paintings". Except for depictions of Adam and Eve, babies, and creatures like cherubs, what are you talking about? Everyone seems to be dressed relatively modestly if you ask me.

Given the setting for a lot of Christian artwork, I find more hypocrisy in that so much of it looks like the subjects are European. I've no idea what he probably looked like, but I'm pretty sure Jesus didn't look like a move star with a nice tan like we see depicted so often.

The painting that was linked was a Reubens. I really don't think Reubens is a good example of religious art unless it is ancient Greek rather than Christian. He did paint "Adam and Eve in Paradise", but also painted "Andromeda", "Venus in a Mirror", "The Three Graces", "Peace and War", and many more. Look up the word, reubenesque. Reubens liked the ladies.

A painting can be more of a reflection of the artist than the artist's subject, but Adam and Eve just wouldn't be Adam and Eve with clothes and I think those digital fig leaves Pandas added were rather comical.

In warm places then and even now you see a lot of unclothed babies and small children simply because they don't need them. The only reason diapers are needed is to protect clothing and furnishings inside. If it's not cold, there's no reason to be inside and no reason to wear clothing or diapers if you're a little kid.

We didn't always have disposable diapers for babies. When some of these paintings were done the only choice, if anything was used at all, was often a rag that was wrapped around an infant and sometimes rarely cleaned. Who would want to see a baby depicted with a yellow and brown stained rag around their bottom?

Angels are, well angels, and they can wear whatever the hell they want. Same with cherubs.

To address Mr. Volt and his original topic, I don't understand why you would protest what you did, in the place you did, in the way you did. Sounds like you kind of got an ok to opt out of some future events as a result. I think in hindsight it would have been better to just go to the principal and talk to him. He sounds like a sensible person and the result probably would have been the same without all the drama.

  15. Does rule number 6 say, "Thou shalt not preach"?
And i was trying to "stand up" for the greifer. Yes, i know that sounds horrible, but there had to be SOME reason he greifed.

That is of the creation of the world.
Those people were Adam (The male), and Eve (The female)
A serphent (AKA Satan) enticed Eve, to disobey God. God said to NEVER eat from the tree of the knowladge of good and evil, and Adam and Eve ate from it.
The reason they were nude was because they were innocnet, and did not know that being nude was "embaressing"
    NOTE: i'm done
  16. I have always wondered about this. Why were we told not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge? Did he want us to be dumb as rocks?

  17. Well, he KNEW that we were going to sin from the start, so he did this to show how great and awesome he is, and how much sinners we are.

Also, Jesus refers to us as sheep; VERY stupid.
Therefore, we are stupid, because God's awe is too much for us to understand.
  18. Let me rephrase:
NOTE: i'm done UNLESS I am confronted, attacked, or asked a question.
