With the help of UN officials, Nigeria's autocratic government has been transitioned into a Federal Republic. The transition is not over yet though, and it will take a long process to finally convert, although now TUN has full control over all Nigerian States politically. Still, much territory still needs to be taken over, although progress has been going smoothly. Nigeria's territory will be fully under UN control in 1 post. The goal is to establish a Democratic voting system and remove all possibilities of a military regime in the form of a government. TUN will keep Nigeria under their influence and be their main exporter and trading partner and military ally, although they will also tax a small percentage from their overall taxes.

The HMKX Empire is currently investing in huge infrastructure projects, and is industrializing Russia's vast wasteland to a manageable extent. Plans are underway to upgrade all older ships, particularly the Yi Sun-Shin Subclass, slightly inferior to the newer subclasses (due to the designers improving the plans while debate raged as to whether to make another 4) to the standards of the Genghis Khan subclass. It's Stalin's organ, nicknamed thus by German troops and nicknamed Katyusha by Soviet soldiers. The Government decided to adopt it as a codename for the Launchers, then a full name for all future MRLs. Numbers were used for the launchers themselves, however.

Feeling threatened by TUN attempts to take over Nigeria, HMKX has initiated their plans for Zaire early. While less of a success than initially wanted, HMKX has still allied with the new "Democratic Republic of the Congo". The Dictator has been deposed, and a democracy has been installed, with the DRC having a mutual defense pact to HMKX. DRC has also agreed to exclusively export a new, secret resource that was found in their land to the HMKX only so they can sell it in inflated prices. HMKX has secretly contacted UFOS, DRC and NAE (New Abyssinian Empire) to discuss a monopoly of this new secret resource, as one of UFOS's component countries, DRC, Ethiopia, and one of HMKX's component countries has this resource. (OOC: Tantalum). DRC is rapidly industrializing and militarizing, and the GDP and GDP per capita has skyrocketed.
Information on Omni Laham: Omni Laham (not real, made up for game's sake) is an African/Islamic Extremist group located in West Africa. They are a violent terrorist regime and gain power and influence through fear mongering, village burning, beatings, killings and crazed conversion ceremonies. They do not have much of a heavy influence on the government, but they have been in many coup attempts. Location: West Africa and North Africa. Mainly Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, Benin, Mali. Weaponry and size: The Omni Laham regime is one of the largest terrorist groups currently in Africa with a massive following with equipment funded by natural resource reserves and government corruption. They are equipped with AK-47s which the Empire so carelessly sold to, as well as RPGs and other cheaper and more efficient equipment. As for vehicles they mainly use cheap mass produced trucks and jeeps and fit them with armoured plating. Tactics: They strike fear into people's hearts to get their own way. Once they start spreading through villages and start converting people, they then start building up weapons caches and enough power to overthrow the local government. Although no attempts have worked so far to take down a national government, they have helped with a few coups. Their main bases reside in villages and towns where they control a lot of territories. Plans: Their main goal is to create a massive Islamic State in West Africa which is ruled by them and Shri a law. Their main objective is power and wealth. Who started it: Mohammed Laham. After his father, a wealthy terrorist, died, Laham took over his regime and renamed it Omni Laham in 1963. The regime has since grown stronger and stronger every year and has begun to become a force to be reckoned with.
HMKX is letting TUN deal with the mess, but they've stopped indiscriminately selling AK-47s. In addition, HMKX is trying to overthrow the Benin government. Considering Benin is Socialist and has no ties with anyone else, it is very weak and vulnerable to Omni Laham influence. HMKX is currently scheming to remove the Benin government and swoop in and take over, 10 posts However, they are very aware TUN might swoop in and take over before they can, so HMKX has arranged for the group that will take over Benin to declare that they are HMKX allies, thus preventing a TUN invasion. Then HMKX will swoop in with the Katyushas and destroy any Omni Laham that may show up to try and take over. The HMKX Empire has many prosperous allies in Africa, and they are able to exert power over a vast distance. In addition, they are currently trying to deal with a disease, that is infecting some HMKX servicemen that went to Africa, specifically DRC. They have been quarantined, as the disease seems to only affect those who touch bodily fluids of others infected. Thus, doctors and nurses have been equipped with sealed suits. The symptoms are severe, with a high death rate. At first, Influenza-like symptoms persist, with severe vomiting and dehydration. Internal and External bleeding occurs in some cases, with many doctors simply euthanizing their own patients out of pity. It is a monstrously large virus, unlike anything seen by humanity before, long and worm-like. Hydration is vital in treatment, with medication to reduce vomiting and diarrhea prescribed liberally. While HMKX soldiers are not common, they are very worried about the TUN stationed there. The quarantine is holding, for now. HMKX is pulling every soldier and citizen in Africa out of there, and locking them in cells until they can be examined by doctors. Any bodies are burned in a sealed room, then the ashes are sealed and buried. HMKX has a simple message for TUN, who has far more troops stationed in Africa than HMKX. OOC POST Hey, in New Nations 2, a user called NFell somehow mustered a 300 million-strong army. That could only possibly be achieved by dragging every man out of his home, and would likely cause a revolution. A user called ww2fan something something somehow had a 100 million strong army, and 100 million ships, despite his countries not having 100 Million people that is ready to fight. Somehow. It would be a logistical nightmare to feed and supply 300 million soldiers (HMKX is having trouble feeding and supplying 30 Million). So let's impose a few restrictions on military counts. AltPunisher! You might wanna see this! PROPOSED RULES: The Army can only be 1/5s of a given Combine's population. The Air Force cannot exceed 50,000 planes without the necessary industrial capacity. TUN officials have taken The Empire's warnings of this disease seriously and have pulled out a percentage of their troops to be evaluated. They have also sent in doctors and medical teams to assess the situation in the area where the troops are stationed. TUN troop population in Africa has dropped down to a mere 20,000. It isn't expected to get much higher because now TUN is considering taking over governments without an organized invasion...
Negotiations have been made with a military party in Ivory Coast. They plan to start an army coup and take over the Autocratic government. TUN is supplying them with supplies and a small force of 2,000 men, along with a few militarized vehicles and air support. They will overthrow the government and install a democratic ruler. TUN, of course, won't be the new ruler of the country, but a direct ally. They will help free them from their political shambles and help them grow into a prosperous nation. This is the only way to establish a strong UN influence in Africa. The government take over will have results in 5 posts TUN fears a huge HMKX alliance in Africa and mainly intervened for that reason. Although the HMKX looks like they cannot be stopped, they are spreading through Africa faster than TUN ever could...
Guinea and NAE relations are worsening, that's a little worrying. But on the bright side, potential coup leaders are contacting HMKX to discuss the possiblity of a dictatorial regime, whereupon HMKX immediately directs them to the model of Guinea, with no Democracy but flourishing economy. Just do that, and HMKX will back them all the way. But if they attempt to create a dictatorial hellhole, HMKX will hound them until the end. The threats tend to work well.
