I've already encountered a rabid bunny, which I forgot for a solid 5 minutes was part of the survival 2.0 update lol you can imagine how freaked out i was
I guess this a great update for you fighters but I'm not liking the tougher mobs and other hindrances to mining and exploring. As if the nether wasn't bad enough with those Hell Hounds hunting you down you had to add more things that can kill you when you are not looking. Now no one will be going to the nether. Who wants to go gather materials when 9 times out of 10 you won't make it back alive. AND there is no such thing as difficulty 1 in the nether, I checked it and it is about 2.5 at its lowest. Since I never seem to be in a killing mood and I just want to mine, farm, build and explore without to many problems it looks like I'm SOOL.
What do you mean it's lowest is 2.5 in the nether? You can go down to difficulty 1 in the nether. Also, you can disable all of the enraged and spawns in your /ps settings, so anyone that doesn't want a part of these new mobs doesn't have to face them.
You can turn off mob spawns for yourself but unfortunately this won't prevent others from spawning them in.
also note last night i pushed some fixes beds search inwards out now, up to 5 blocks outwards, to find location, and only -1/0/+1 for Y level, so it shouldn't be sending you to another floor anymore item despawn timer has been improved, that it no longer immediately despawns on the 1 hour mark of you being online, but instead once the item loads/or is loaded, AND it hits the 1 hour mark of you being online, it sets the normal 15 minute item despawn timer in motion This means, if you die far away, and no one else is around your items, you can take longer than 1 hour to get back to the items, and then once you load the chunk, you have 15 minutes of time in the chunk being loaded to get the items (which you're pretty near.... so.... I hope that isn't an issue) Fixed bug where vanilla drop chances of equipped items on entities kicked in dropping damaged marlix (and modified) marlix bow and vindication (this is where it didn't show in drop messages) Added code to auto repair marlix bows with power 2. Trying to get around this to sell the alternate version is extremely not allowed. If you still have a power 2 flame 1 marlix bow, please report it. If you have a damaged vindication axe, you have 24 hours to request SS repair, after that, they are not subject to repair (as you shouldn't of even got the drop in first place) fix lag/server crash bug where some mobs code tried to load too many chunks fixed some capitalization of /ps fixed eyender guardians teleporting into town (for reals this time) more Risk Gauge adjustments certain events that close your inventory without your consent such as server shutdown, teleportation, etc, will now force close inventories in a 'cancel' fashion such as mail will avoid sending an unfinished mail message should you get teleported or server shuts down. I'm still needing to get to refactoring how vouching for dropped player items work. had MrSocks and Elite over this weekend so time was limited
While at my outpost I switched my difficulty to 10 (cuz why not) and wanted to see how I'd fare. The answer was immediate and crushing lol Needless to say I ran away in horror. All I had on was voters gear so I didn't expect much. Anyways to the issue I found: I was trying to click my bed and the timer kept resetting on it's own without combat or enemies nearby. This was more then 5 minutes after fighting anything. My outpost is also very well lit up as I've been here for year and explored the saves underneath very thoroughly. I know it was mentioned that you guys didn't want us to be able to just place a bed and be safe before fighting but this surely can't be right? Preventing me from clicking a bed at all? EDIT: Even trying to change my diff from 10 to 5 I still get a timer when I haven't been in combat for over 10 mins now. And it also resets on it's own.
This is expected behavior. It's because on diff 8+ monsters auto attack you from far away on spawn, and this event triggers combat difficulty. So monsters were spawning near you. As it shows in your screenshot, setting diff to 5 did not take effect because of recent combat, so you were still effectively 10. However I am planning to move this event to a DIFFICULTY lock instead of combat lock.

once you /diff 5, just stay out of combat for 5 mins. logout if you need. then once on 5 you can set your bed, or wait until day and hopefully no mobs spawn in the 1 minute window.
That's what I was doing. I've not been in combat for 15+ mins now but still get the timer and it keeps resetting even though I'm doing nothing. I'm literally standing inside a cobblestone hut waiting to try to set bed spawn lol That's why I thought it was odd it would reset without any physical combat.
Just wanted to add how I love how easy it is for mob heads to stack now. Before you could gets head drop 1 minute apart and not even stack. Now they all seem to stack!
The server lag kicking seems to be fixed for now... then again it was fixed previously *crosses fingers this doesnt keep happening*
The updates really good, but Eyender's too OP, it's like 5-7 hearts per hit. Can you decrease that to like 5 hearts please? Also, why must the Super Turkey be an attacker now?
I believe some carry more luck than others, so if yours have varying luck effects I don't think they'd stack
