  1. Thanks!
I was preparing to answer something along the lines of "I don't do requests" but you actually managed to choose a theme from my second favourite game. Good job :p
I would indeed really love to play this, or anything from this game, but I'll probably have to get a bit better first. But I think I might try it some time this year!
(I'm currently trying a quite difficult theme from a certain Ubisoft game :3)

  2. Well, ive Found another M&L Fan on EMC, I have happiness!
Also, I can see why a lot from this game (and the series to an Extent) could be hard to play, with the General rather fast Pace of a lot of tracks and the Complexness of many of the Tracks :p

  3. "Don't worry: this will be the shortest theme you'll see me cover in this medley :p I even played it twice, and it was still the shortest by far.
But this theme was mainly used as a transition anyway: between One Noisy Morning and The Frigid Sea (which I'll upload next) I have to move my hands a whole way, and this theme allows for a nicer transition, because you can play the right hand only for a while, while moving the left hand to a place from where you can start the next theme.
That doesn't mean I don't like this theme though, it's good enough for a simple map theme, and actually quite catchy. Kind of fun to play, too, I can do it *really* fast :p
I'm ill at the moment, so I can't really record new videos. I had this video recorded a while ago, though, and, being ill, I had enough time on my hands to make a thumbnail and description and upload it.
I hope you enjoy it, even though it's short! :)
For the question this time, you'll either need to know quite a bit of useless knowledge about the Wario Land games, or you'll need to do some research: how many levels/areas are in this world? You'll get 7 CP (folk.simpsite.nl/cp) for being the first to answer said question correctly.
I think this theme was composed by Ryoji Yoshitomi, by the way, but it could be Kozue Ishikawa instead. I like either's works and they both worked a lot on the Wario Land series, so it doesn't really matter too much, I guess."

  4. "Yay, finally I got the pleasure of uploading this one!
    I love this tune <3
I love the bears too, especially ShyGuyXXL's version of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFUFaQWDeMc

The sheet music for this great theme composed by Kozue Ishikawa was arranged by Cryo. It's available here: http://www.ninsheetmusic.org/download/pdf/1488
It's very fun to play, but it has some very difficult parts too. It's challenging to find a way to play the parts fluently, but I did it eventually, with help from my father (I learnt this when he was still alive). Still though, when playing this theme, it's like my fingers are doing athletics at some parts :p But again, it's very fun!
I used the "vibes" instrument at our piano.

You'll get 9 CP (info: folk.simpsite.nl/cp) for answering the following question correctly: "What theme in the game is a remix of this one?"

  5. Wow, you're great on the piano! Nice themes! :)

  6. Thanks! :)
    I agree! (well, duh :p)
I think some people in my music class think I'm a bit weird for playing Mario themes, but I just happen to enjoy it much, much more than pop music! :)

  7. This is where it all started... quite a while ago, when I first found ninsheetm.us (now called ninsheetmusic.org) this was the first theme I clicked (arranged by Arqivus, by the way). I thought it was incredibly cool to have the sheet music for a Wario theme and I wanted to make a remix of it in Garageband. The remix failed, but I did have a pianoroll with how to play the theme, now (back then I was incredibly slow at reading notes). After that I proceeded to do Wario Land 3's day map theme, and as you probably know, I tried playing that on piano afterwards, and it was great. It was only later I realised I still hadn't incorporated this theme, and I learnt it again.
This theme is quite quirky, and thus a bit tricky to play. It's very fun though, as you're really bouncing along the keys. There are a lot of things about video game music compositions (and other genres like opera and film music too, of course) you only realise when you play them. I love how fitting this theme is.
This theme was, of course, composed by Kozue Ishikawa.
The question is a bit of an easy one, you'll get 7 CP for it: in what other game does this theme appear?

  8. Ah, this is typical Wario Land music... I like it!
I might've made a few rhythm inconsistencies here and there, and pressed a key where I shouldn't have. I think it's good enough, though, if I want to get everything perfect I'll never get something uploaded...
Anyway, nobody has yet joined the Club Tournament... (https://youtu.be/DqIAMaZ95kU) I wonder why, I spent quite some time on it and think it should be fun...
anyway, this video can also earn you some CP. The question, which will give you 7 CP if you're the first to answer it, is: "What is the name of the world this music plays in?"

  9. The editing of this took me way too long >.<
But it worked out at last. What do you think of it? Doesn't it look cool?
This theme is quite cool. The high instrument has double notes (like, two shortly after each other) in the original, but I couldn't really imitate that without a keyboard.
I'm sorry for the bit near the ending where I accidentally sped up, I was a bit nervous because I was doing so well :p
Anyway, people have been joining 607's Club Tournament! :D You can still play: too: http://empireminecraft.com/threads/607s-club-tournament.57649/
Hm, the question for this time is one for which you'll need to pay close attention to the video instead of having prior knowledge about the game (or be good at guessing, that'll work too :p). How many coins does Wario pick up in the video? You can only comment an answer once, of course. The first one to correctly answer the question will receive 7 CP.
One song is left for this medley, which will hopefully be uploaded sometime soon!

  10. Nice looking video 607, your piano playing skills are top notch! Great to see another video :)

What editor did you use to get both the video of the game together with the footage of your piano? Cheers! :D

  11. Thanks! :D
Lightworks, it's free ^.^ It took me way too long though, I'm kind of a noob at professional software  But I will get better, and I hope you'll see more of such fancy stuff in the feature!
    Nickblockmaster and highlancer54 like this.
  12. Ah Lightworks, I remember hearing about that, may have used it before... I'll have to think about using that instead of movie maker but I'm so used to movie maker! :p
  13. The free version of Lightworks can't export to 1080p, though. And let me tell you, it's entirely different from Windows Movie Maker, you'll have to learn everything freshly, and this time it isn't all as straight-forward :p (I'd advise to watch some tutorials, I find them boring, but it's better than hours of trial and mostly error... >.<)

  14. I use 720p for real videos, but do use 1080 when using Fraps... Tutorials don't sound like fun though :p

  15. You should've made it so you can select multiple answers in the poll =P
  16. Why?
  17. Your music is amazing. Piano is an instrument I play too, #pianorocks :)

  18. Because some people play multiple instruments :p
  19. I can't post any video, but last Thursday I played an orchestra concert of all Zelda music! It was really awesome. I felt like a rock star. Full orchestra, full choir and giant video screen behind us. I could't really see what was back there, but the audience loved it. Video game music can be boring and repetitive sometimes, but there are some really killer music scores out there for many games. Thanks for posting the piano videos! Good times.
