The UNAFR knows Madagascar is telling myths just to rival up Africa. Are they? Madagascar is a schemey nation, hiding on an Island far away from Algeria, throwing controversy after controversy. This is suspicious, and UNAFR secret agents are looking into it. The UWE's highest concentration of military equipment is UNAFR originated, due to Italy's previous alliance with the UNAFR and NPAT. The UWE posses a high amount of UNAFR Royal Airforce Aircraft, particularly F-15s, f-16s, the F-18 Hornet, and the F-15E Strike Eagle. They also possess many armoured fighting vehicles, tanks, specifically the heavily upgraded and Italian version of the M60 and a small amount of the M1 Abrams. Italy was also a nuclear launchpad for the UNAFR during the Mediterranean war, which shows due to the multiple Nuclear silos and ABM systems. Italy's Navy was somewhat self-made, although many of their destroyers and cruisers were supplied by the UNAFR. It seems as if everyone wants to claim to the UWE's friendship, although the only thing the UNAFR claims to a friendship is Italy. Not to be confused though, about 61% of Italy's military was UNAFR originated, the rest being entirely original.
The FRNS has petitioned the OEO (whichever one is our version of the UN) to put an end to HMKX's imperialist madness and hold a referendum. It agrees to rejoin if need be. Meanwhile parliament has passed a bill granting FRNS citizenship to all Hong Kong citizens. It has been ratified by the upper house and the council. They are free to move into the FRNS and the citizenship is permanent unless the citizen individually renounces it.
The UWE asks the UNAFR for some naval ships, too expand navy. The UWE wants to send trooos to new lands in the future too possibly make new colonies (ignore the one about Switzerland, their was a confusion with the rules) and protect Italy, the location of the nuclear silos which the UNAFR originally put their. They also will promise to repay the UNAFR if they accept this offer with troops when they need extra man power. This isn't the UWE forming an alliance, this is them asking for something and then repaying.
I made a fancy OEO post, got wiped. Gist of it: 68% 0f world population decided that FRNS has to at least return the leased territories, overriding combine approval. The Empire has fully mobilized its Anti-Ballistic Missile Systems. It is ready to shoot down any attack that's not from UNAFR. HMKX refuses to jump the gun on this one; they'll wait for the OEO vote. However, HMKXS Kublai Khan with associated light task force has been mobilized to intercept any offensive fleet moving to Hong Kong. Any attempt at invasion will be blasted to the bottom of the Sea. The UNAFR is selling cruisers from the late 70s, all advanced in technology, but still not the same tier as current UNAFR ships. It is of note it will be severely disorienting to Hong Kong infrastructure should HMKX just move into the new territories. I wasn't kidding when I said the entire island was needed for the territorial integrity. It is quite needed for the integrity for this to stay together.
The UWE has a combined military size of 440,000 men. They are generally well trained men. And with the supplies that is left over from the countries that wee allied with other nations, the military is generally strong (I'm not sure if this size is a big size or not, barley know anything about a good military size
Feel like I mistated this; no one is forced to move. They are encouraged and allowed to move freely. HMKX is sick of waiting months for one country's vote and decided "heck it". The HMKX Empire has declared war on the Federal Republic of the North Sea, under the Casus Belli "You decided to ignore a rightful deal and my ultimatum. Our goal is to take over the leased territories, as stipulated in the 99-year lease." HMKX tanks roll into the New Territories and Kowloon, the areas leased to Great Britain. HMXK troops are ordered to not take over Kowloon or Hong Kong, which are both owned by FRNS. Resistance crumbles in the face of large armored fighting vehicles. The HMKX flag goes up. Anyone that wishes to move out is ordered to move out quickly. They have a month to do so. Given the city is about to become a war zone, a lot of people flee. Of course, a lot of people already fled to FRNS so the city is already half-empty. Some are given financial aid by the HMKX military in order to allow for an orderly evacuation. FRNS will respond with hostile force, HMKX is sure; but they don't care. Hong Kong is already half empty; there will be few if no civilian casualties. HMKX asks their Middle Eastern allies and Turkey to make sure the strait of Bosporus does not fall, but HMKX is willing to sacrifice huge numbers of men in order to hold it. Even if a Nuclear Bomb may strike it (hint, that place is under HMKX ABM system guard and it has a whopping 500 UFOS-HMKX made kill vehicles) China is nationalistically angry and is the most willing to spill blood for this. India is indifferent. Troop recruitment will be aimed accordingly. HMKX requests UFOS cover their flank (The Atlantic ocean) and make sure FRNS doesn't try anything Naval, but not to make offensive maneuvers against FRNS, and TO PLEASE NOT ATTACK FRNS CITIES OR USE NUKES. Hopefully, they can trust them. HMKX has the Arctic ocean in the bag, they are completely dominant there. FRNS cannot invade except through Indonesia, and that's going to be very hard considering a very large portion of HMKX's Navy is concentrated there.
The FRNS agrees to cede Hong Kong to the HMKX. However, it has launched multiple meetings with the European Commonwealth's leaders. It believes that, for far too long, the HMKX has been the bully of the world and it will put up with that no longer. European powers within the union are being... consolidated.
"Cede"? More like "return". HMKX points out that they are enforcing a deal that FRNS's primary predecessor created. HMKX even generously extended the lease by several months and gave the people generous amounts of time and money to leave as they pleased. FRNS decided that they didn't want to honor their own damned deal and threw a hissy fit with referendum nonsense and clear attempts to delay the inevitable. HMKX state media derides FRNS as either having spectacularly bad memory or just stupid. OEO is confused, HMKX's allies are basically "wtf". Meanwhile, HMKX braces for impact. They are being dragged around by their own allies (Falklands War, NAE-Guinea war, constant squabbling in Africa), despite their vast resources never quite achieving full potential, now they're a bully? So be it. HMKX has never called on all of its allies at once, nor ever actually tried to defeat their enemy. If FRNS wants to topple HMXK, they'll get a fight.

GOOD UFOS didnt want ANOTHER war to deal with In other news the election for our Senate and House is over with a total of 300 members now with a 178-122 vot in favour to stop ANY and ALL relations that could harm UFOS so most combines besides maybe UWE and sometimes HMKX will not be allied with the new house's and senate's goals are to make the UFOS last as long as possible Also for fear of Nuclear War ALL UFOS citizens will now be required to have a fallout shelter within 25 feet of their home with at least 2 years of food and water and at least 15 inch thick steel walls UFOS will be paying for most of these and is going into about 300 billion dollars into debt with some steel exporting countries and stuff like apartments have to have one large enough for the maximum occupancy of their building
The FRNS refuses to reopen diplomatic ties with the HMKX. The European Commonwealth has passed legislation that will allow it to assume emergency powers over member state's industries, and grants it permanent control over member state's armies, navies, and air forces. The 'European Armed Forces' have formed. It has also begun accession negotiations with Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Albania - they are expected to be complete by the end of 1998, likely before halfway through the year, with an immense amount of fast-tracking happening behind the scenes. Meanwhile, Namibia and Indonesia have been granted dominion status by the FRNS. Their politics are entirely separate from North Sea affairs, but they can choose to get involved with European Commonwealth military affairs. The North Sea navy and submarines have left their ocean and have returned back to the motherland, where they had their FRNS flags raised to half mast and EC ones raised to full. An 'accidentally' leaked plan also details how the European Commonwealth has invasion plans that will see it take control of the Suez Canal, have its army run along the coast of Saudi Arabia, and also storm the border of Turkey and reach Istanbul in days. The European Commonwealth has also recognised the Greek claims in the Megali Idea as legitimate.
