[Est. Outpost] People of Carthaga (PoC)

the People and the City of Carthaga are happy to welcome you

we hope that you enjoy our facilities and the far east frontiers. To get started please read carefully the first and second post in this thread. It contains all the information about Carthaga's organization, the people and current support and financial status. Alternatively you can check out the portal house in Carthaga where most information is on display as well.

To get immediately involved in the ongoing projects, here a list:

Now, how to get all this stuff:
There are two mines in Carthaga for cobble, stone and ores. One is the likens mine west of the city center and the other one is Firestar, which is at 8000 on the netherrail not far from Carthaga.

For iron we have a farm west of the portal house. You will find an AFK-spot there and the collect chests.

In general you receive job points for a DC of any resource you gather, just keep track yourself what you did and how you helped Carthaga.

With so many people we should have a lot of power, be able to do many more projects and grow the city even bigger

The People of Carthaga (PoC) are an open, non-profit community, where everybody is welcome
to join or just come by and be our guest.
The main goal of PoC is to support public projects throughout the worlds of Empire Minecraft
and help the EMC community to grow and advance.
To organize the different tasks PoC uses a system of professions where members can make best use of their skills and learn new stuff.

Join
Carthaga is always looking for new people. To become a member please apply using the form below and post your answers in this thread. We will respond and if approved send you the coordinates and a way description.
If you have troubles getting there contact one of our members to assist you (complete list of members in the second post after this one).

4. Have you ever been kicked or banned and what was the reason: I have never been banned nor kicked for any misbehavior.
5. Do you plan to build/have a mega mall: Have not decided yet on the outcome, but probably will do so.
6. Why do you want to join PoC: Reason being, it is because I want to take the next level of EMC to PoC, thus leaving PoC a great outcome or beneficial cause, based on what I can do in my power.
7. Summarize in one sentence Carthaga's mission: Carthaga's main mission is to support in beneficial ways to the public throughout the server of EMC, and to also help the EMC community to grow and advance further than what it is now.

We support
A mission of PoC is to be involved in ongoing projects on EMC and send resources, specialists and Rupees to these projects and thereby creating great things.
If you know a project that can use support, please contact us in this thread and we will handle your request as soon as possible. We prefer to support public projects, but can cut deals for malls and other commercial projects.

Professions
You love architecture, you are a lucky miner or a slick diplomat?
By doing jobs for Carthaga you can gain reputation. When you achieved some ranks and perks, you can become leader of a profession and create monumental builds, bring us the rarest ores, or make historic pacts with our allies.
PoC will be grateful and never forget their great leaders.

Available jobs are on display in the Job center in Carthaga. Here are some guidelines for the size of a job:

Small jobs (1 pt)

• get a single chest of a simple material, make a transport to smp4-town,
• stock the store house, work the farms, get more members

Medium jobs (3 pts)

• build a small farm, extend the town, spawner grinder,
• build a community building, organize an event

Big jobs (8pts)

• build a complex farm, support a project, build a monumetal house,
• get a DC of rare materials, build an embassy in a foreign outpost

Applications for jobs can be placed in the mailbox of the employer in the post office.

There are four ranks in Carthaga and a division for specialists. A rank is achieved by finishing jobs and projects for Carthaga.

The most up-to-date ranks are displayed in the Room of Ranks in Carthaga.

Member: Post on the forums and build a house
Coal: 8 small jobs (8pts)
Iron: 4 medium jobs (12pts)
Gold: 6 medium jobs (18pts)
Diamond: 3 big jobs (24pts)
Specialist: Genious in something (announced by Founders)

To achieve a rank at least 50% of the points must come from the biggest size job type. For example, to achieve the gold rank 3 medium jobs can be combined with 9 small jobs which will total to 18 points.
Points are not cumulative between ranks!

Depending on the rank members of Carthaga enjoy different privileges. Every player starts as a member after they posted here and setup their house.
Member:

• Right to use storage and take jobs

Coal:

• Hall of Members
• Plot in the historic town center - if available
• Mailbox in the post office

Iron:

• Post jobs in the job center
  
• Found a new profession in Carthaga
  
• Available for elections for the comittee

Gold:

• Working area in a Carthaga building
  
• City planning and terra forming
• Call a meeting in the Assembly hall

Diamond:

• Build your own descendent outpost
• Auction in the name of Carthaga
• Use farms commercially

Specialist:

• Can be send out as specialist to support projects

CATHARGA APARTMENTS

As most of you know, the apartments will be open as of tomorrow. If you would like one, please PM me and let me know. I will assign them on a first-come, first-serve basis. Let me know the size and color you prefer. The current colors are white, brown, pink, magenta, red, black, lime green, green, gray, light gray, blue, and yellow.

There are 12 large apartments and 24 small apartments. Each apartment is decorated for the color of the floor it is on, has a doorbell, a frame (to indicate rank), and other items like a bed, furnace, crafting table, chest, etc. They will all already be furnished/decorated, but feel free to change whatever you want to.

In the lobby there will be utilities for everyone to use including an enchanting table, anvil, brewing stand, etc. Maybe we could also have a chest for shared food and other items that everyone could donate to. Hopefully we can have a fun little building Thank you!

Hey guys,

So, I planned the grand opening of the apartments tomorrow and am finishing everything tonight. Except, this stray little girl (that I have named Wednesday aka Winnie) showed up at my house. I've decided to keep her, but she has to go to the vet tomorrow. I'm not sure if I will be back in time for the grand opening of the apartments. Of course I will get on as soon as we're back home, but just in case, Kai has agreed to run things until (and if) I get there. I could have postponed the date or time, but didn't want to at the last minute. So, thank you Kai for helping Hopefully I will be there in time to see everyone, but if not I hope you have great time, enjoy everything, and I hope to see you in-game soon. Thanks!

CARTHAGA APARTMENTS - GRAND OPENING

When: Sunday, October 5th 3:00PM EMC Time

Location: The apartment building is located past the town square near the nature reserve.

What: I will be donating gifts and other surprises to those in attendance. There will also be food and who knows what else, so feel free to come and check out the new building and pick up a surprise while you're there.
