  3. Because no color is needed. They are satisfied with the respect received from helping the community grow. They don't need self glorification.
  4. Fair enough.
  5. As someone that works customizing an issue tracker as a "real" job, good work!

God, what has my life become that I *enjoy* sorting request tickets and looking at the details...

  6. Do the members have special in game abilities?
  7. They don't get anything extra special like a new color, but I think it would be neat if they had some kind of command that let them report bugs in-game. Something like /bug [category] [issue]. It might speed up the process a bit, eliminating the task of having to scan the forums for every bug, and it might also help since some people don't ever use the forums anyway. I'm not sure it if it would be possible to implement with linking up names and everything, but it would be cool if it happened.

  8. We love to have it in the guide just for new members that won't use the forums again. :) Asdding a command to link to a 3rd party site may be very hard, although it could be possible. Besides, filing an actual report isn't too tricky :p

  9. wut
  10. You've spammed that on multiple threads now... please stop.

I'm guessing it's for that thing you just posted, doesn't mean spamming it (or posting them on random topics) is okay.
  11. While we don't get anything new in-game (although that command would be like... super useful...), I'm able to report bugs from in-game by just messaging the track bot on Google Talk, so that makes my life so much easier (sadly, I'm fairly sure the others aren't able to do this).

Not that I don't want a /help page on this, or a page in the guide.
  12. I might have missed it, but the is votes feature (which im pretty sure we cant access) a way to upvote what the community views as most important?
  13. Just out of curiousity, why wasn't this delegated to the EMC staff MOD's to do? This, at least to me, appears to be something that falls under the MOD type duties. Just doesn't seem right that these 4 members are going to be seeing an awful lot more PM's and probably a lot of "work", and they don't even have a title to show for their hard work?

Think an honorary title would be in order in not a full fledged promotion to staff... again, just my opinion.

EDIT: I see now that this has been mentioned, I appologize for the redundancy, but sometimes it gets a little tedious reading through all the "first/second/third!" and "awesome/great/cool!" posts that always seem to plague every sticky thread on EMC's forums...

Aside from that, ask ICC/Aikar and he'll be able to tell you. If not, it must be top secret :p
  15. So when I have a bug I sent a pm about it to you four and aikar?
  16. I think CallMeDeJaja makes a good point. As regular members, this team will be sifting through a lot of information that many of us would also like to be privy to. Known bugs, what ones are fixed, what ones will be fixed and the timetable for fixing them, what ones won't be fixed and why as well as workarounds for them, details about things that will never make it into Issue Tracker or the Forums, as well as daily interaction with Staff.

I am already using the Issue Tracker a lot. Kadboy and I were looking in it for two issues last night. One was the water source block problem since we keep getting them on water harvest farms and other places. I thought I had seen it in there, but it's gone. When I search for the original thread that it had been mentioned in, I found that it had been confirmed as a Spigot problem.

I'd be willing to bet that all four members of the Issue Tracker team are aware of the water problem, that it is a Spigot problem, and one of them may even have been the one to remove it from Issue Tracker. I eventually found the information I was looking for, but removing it made it harder for me to find and most of these issues will never even make it to a Forum thread. It pains me to admit it, but I'm jealous of the access this team has to this information and it's likely a lot of people feel the same way but aren't willing to admit it or are keeping it to themselves.

I feel silly putting it in words, but a title like "Issue Tracker Staff", would make me feel better by setting them apart from the rest of us mortals. Right now, they are regular members with privileges and it's probably bothering a quite a few people.

Maybe I don't yet understand the Tracker and the issue is still there somewhere with notes. If not and if it's possible, rather than removing issues, can they be saved so those of us who are using Issue Tracker can find them?

  17. Can't guarantee I'll find anything, but I'll see it I can find any reference of it on the tracker - it's very easy to accidently make something visible to staff only, for example.
  18. That demonstrates the point very well, Jack. You are currently a regular member with Staff privileges. If so, you may as well be Staff.
  19. Firstly, about the water source: I honestly can't find any reference of it ever being there - whether it being in PM, or it being hidden for whatever reason - so I'm not sure what's up there. Generally, if a tracked bug ends up being a Vanilla/Spigot bug, then it's just marked as invalid - we can't actually remove bug pages though.

Secondly, about your point: At the end of the day, that's Justin/Aikar/Cow's choice whether or not we get a few words under our names. Any comments we make, along with bug info, or work-arounds is publicly visible on the tracker though.
